Dota 2 reporter 47th
Dota 2 reporter 47th
do they actualy look at replays, or do they just count the reports?
because sometimes people insist that the whole team reports one poor guy for feeding.
and when the stats of that guy are normal or a tad bad like 2-8-8 or something it should be easy to see that he isnt a feeder.
or when they report people for missuseing communication when they have no TS and didnt type anything.
Do they look at the replay?
Considering the amount of complaints and the amount of people playing this game, I think it’s fully automated. You’d need a really big team that’s only focussed on handling reports every single day to make it completely fair. Because to be honest anyone that uses the report system unjust needs to get punished badly.
I think it was mentioned somewhere that a whole team reporting you in one game only counts as one report.
Anyways the reports punish based on behaviour through time, if the abuse trend is there, then you’re more likely to get muted.
How does the report system work?
They probably look at the report from a general standpoint. If you have been reported for the same thing, over various different games by various different players, then it’s obvious that it should be looked into, then farther action would be taken.
Due to the amount of silly reports people get on Dota 2, most of them will be ignored unless (as i mentioned above). If someone reported me because they were fussy about how i played the game, i wouldn’t expect to be punished or notified by Valve.
Well I’ve made a few reports so far and only once did I receive a message saying the player had been punished.
I’d say that all reports I’ve made were justified, of course I’m biased, but there’s a few I’m sure should have received punishment and didn’t. Like a KotL force staffing to a cliff and then teleporting his entire team there while the enemy team is pushing. if this isn’t skill abuse I don’t know what is.
They should really look into each case and while that would require a huge team, they could always use community members to help them, just choose people with a x number of played hours/games and less than y reports, I mean the community has always been a big part of DotA even going as far as help design and balance stuff.
