Dota 2 spectre purge election
Well this is my way of starting a dicussion about Spectre. She’s a hard carry and there are those chances that you can’t farm stuff like Radience, Butterfly, Heart. So I thought of a build for if you can’t get those hardcore items.
And the idea was Phase, Vanguard as to give her the tankiness she’ll need to the beginning of mid game. And then Disfussal and armlet. And Armlet being for the obvious reasons of her ulti’s illusions gain the buff from Armlet on use.
I did manage to try this and it worked well, to say.
So opinions? A bit too much or still requring a lot of farm?
I’m using this idea under the pretext that you can’t manage to get your normal farm.
P. s. May sound stupid but how come never a battlefury on Spectre?
It works, but the whole point of spectre is to farm like a boss and hard carry late game with that tankiness and all. If you can’t farm enough in most of your games, then it is wiser to try out some other hero instead.
As for battlefury, you don’t need both radiance and b. fury on the same hero as both are essentially farming items. Also most of the time, that aoe dmg of radiance outputs more dps than cleave from b. fury incase of spectre.

True but there is always the case that your team can’t handle the enemy, although they should have picked a line-up where they could have.
And if you already have Radiance, B. fury is absolutely un-nesscary as I will agree but I was wondering as B. fury as an different choice over Radiance.
You always have to look at the abilities of the heroes.
Assuming you have no time to farm, I’d focus on one of the three following strategies:
Quick Diffusal Blade.
– it is relatively cheap
– gives you a sizable amount of agility (and you are an agility hero, so that means increased attack speed, increased damage, increased armor), which also tranfers over to your illusions
– gives you and your illusions mana burn, which again increases the damage and can cripple opponents
– gives you some int, which is not bad either
– don’t forget the purge
– the increased attack speed also works very well with desolate (which your illusions also have), and the armor works nicely with dispersion
Second: desolate ganking.
The damage boost of desolate is huge. To make use of it, two things must be given:
a) a decent attack speed, since that is what desolate depends most on
b) you having the chance to attack opponents while they are alone
To make that happen, I’d consider to get a shadow blade and hand of midas. The shadow blade lets you find your lone opponents in stealth, gives you some damage boost and another escape mechanic. The HoM gives you a very nice attack speed bonus. And while you are busy ganking in the enemy jungle, you can as well turn some of the creeps to gold.
Third: become tough.
It alles you to farm more easily, and makes your dispersion more effective. A vanguard is a nice option here. It can be bought in acceptable chunks, so you don’t have to run around with a lot of gold or save a long time for it, but can instead keep buying it bit by bit.
