Stuttering lag dota 2
Stuttering lag dota 2
I have been having a stutter issue in my game where it runs smoothly for about 10 seconds and then the game locks up and freezes for about 3 seconds
It is impossible to play like this i have tried uninstalling, setting certain launch options, verify integrity of game cache, nothing works. Very frustrating cant cs or play properly ):
So, your computer came out of suspend/hibernate and now the issue started?
restart computer, there is no other fix, icefrog can’t code, valve doesn’t care, and there’s no point in playing after 7.00
my computer is new i have had it for 2 months max it is an issue with the game

ok, i can tell what happen.
are you using laptop or desktop.
from your GHz on your spec, i can tell you overclock your computer.
if it isn’t overclock, then the the GHz for both should be the same number. e. g 2.2GHz @ 2.2GHz.
in other words, your computer overheats and it causes your computer to crash as a result.
if you using a laptop, kindly get an external cooling fan below your laptop to offset the overheating problem and also, make sure your power plan is set to “balance” and not “high performance”.
high performance power plan will cause your laptop to overheat much faster since it uses up your laptop battery faster.
if you using a desktop, make sure your CPU get lots of ventilation. (have a fan that is on the wall blowing at your CPU, don’t box in your CPU as well)
also kindly close all the programs before you play dota 2.
my game does not crash nor does my pc get hot (i am using a desktop)
then your CPU overheats like what i said.
just the CPU internal fan is not enough to prevent it from overheating.
computers overheating is a very common problem and it is the main issue of causing computers to have multiple problems.
you can’t depend on the CPU internal fan itself to prevent overheating from occuring.
this is what is written about overclocking your CPU.
Simply put, overclocking means setting your CPU and memory to run at speeds higher than their official speed grade. Almost all processors ship with a speed rating. For example, an Intel Core i7 860 runs at 2.80GHz out of the box. Overclocking a Core i7 860 means pushing it to a clock speed higher than 2.80GHz.
this is about overclocking GPU.
Overclocking a GPU will often yield a marked increase in performance in synthetic benchmarks, usually reflected in game performance. It is sometimes possible to see that a graphics card is being pushed beyond its limits before any permanent damage is done by observing on-screen artifacts.
this is the cons for overclocking your computer.
Parts will heat up much more than usual – this means the need for aftermarket CPU coolers, and higher fan speeds
The excess heat also makes products last a significantly less amount of time, depending on how much heat it outputs. Heat = less life span (the life of an overclocked CPU is about 5ish years, give or take)
Takes a long time to overclock, and it’s very finicky
Not all parts will overclock the same way. GPUs are different from CPUs
Each CPU or GPU overclocks differently (silicon lottery). One 4690K might get 4.7ghz at 1.3V while another gets only 4.5 or 4.4 Ghz at the same voltage
Overclocking can also make your PC unstable. Make sure to stress test for at least 24hrs to ensure stability.
here is the website that tells you the pros and cons of overclocking your computer.
from my opinion, if you got a high end computer, then there isn’t a need to overclock your computer since you can run most games without overclocking it.
