Zeus is one of my favourite hero with ridiculous amount of damage in early-mid that also scales well into late game thanks to his 3rd skill. He often played in mid lane, but sometimes also as a support or offlane. I’d like to know what items you build on him, because i think this hero doesn’t rely on items. I usually build eul’s scepter, force staff, and ghost scepter for survivability (usually against right-clicker heroes like sniper or lifestealer), bloodstone for mana issue, octarine core for a good lifesteal, mana pool, and cooldown reduction. I don’t buy aghanim because i don’t think that’s necessary, and sometime i buy refresher orb.

So how you build this hero? Thanks again for your answers

The core item for zeus is one mobility item (Force, Euls, Blink), veil, and aether lens. These 3 items are good enough for a support/offlane zeus. If you got extra gold, getting another extra mobility item is also an option. Ghost is also great situationally as you mentioned.

Personally I prefer to get both Euls and Force Staff. The extra disable from Euls is great if your team have low lockdown. After that its lens for better positioning to keep you safe. Only after that you go either veil/refresher/octarine. Veil got buffed significantly and helps you with every stats that it offers; armor, int, and magic res. debuff. I highly recommend you build veil in every game at some point because the spammability + more magic damage is superior than aghs in every way possible.

I ALWAYS build Force Staff and Veil of Discord. Now that Lens is introduced, I play him with Lens aswell. I think Zeus needs at lest 1 Mobility Item (Blink, Eul’s or Force Staff) to be effective. I also love Aghs + Refresher. But I prefer Octarine Core actually. Bloodstone is quite underwhelming actually compare to other Items. But yea if I had to chose 1 or 2 Items, I would chose Veil and Force Staff.
Interesting thing about Veil is, as soon as they are hit by the Veil effect, the enemy is scared immediatly. Sometimes they waste their Pipe or run away if you defend highground, it can buy time. And in a hectic teamfight u can deal massive damage and escape safely with a Force Staff or even save an ally. Best two items by far.

Oh yea i forgot to mention aether lens, that’s pretty good item. I agree with you about mobility item, because if he comes in a bad position in a teamfight he is as good as dead. Sometimes i don’t buy force staff because my team is dominating the game, eul for countering enemy combo spell and more disable, i rarely got blink except it’s necessary. Veil of discord is very awesome item for zeus aswell, but sometimes i don’t buy it but my support instead. Anyway, thanks for your reply
