With today’s update, the all-new ‘Hell-Spar Anathema‘ Lion Prestige item is at last unearthed. Available to all Battle Pass owners who climb to Battle Level 255, this exclusive replacement for Lion’s demonic left arm also includes a second style that can be unlocked by securing 50 high-damage Finger of Death kills where the victim has at least 350 health.

Featuring new animations and sounds for Lion’s ultimate ability, the ‘Hell-Spar Anathema’ can only be obtained by increasing your Battle Pass to level 255 before the conclusion of The International, and will not be available to market or trade in the future. Battle Pass owners who’ve already piled up 255 Battle Levels can now claim this prize from the rewards line and get started unleashing hell’s fury upon Lion’s enemies.

In other Battle Pass news, fans are invited to join the composer of The International 2018 Music Pack in his recording studio for a special glimpse into the creative process behind the new in-game audio offerings recorded for this year’s tournament.

The 2017 Level 2000 Baby Roshan

It has come to our attention that the physical Baby Roshan reward for last year’s Battle Pass has had poor production quality yields. We apologize to our fans for that, it is well below the quality we expected. We are going to start from scratch on new production for the statue, and prioritize delivering it as soon as possible to every customer that reached level 2000 last year.

The Feast of Abscession Update

With today’s update, the butcher’s got a whole new set of tools as the Pudge Arcana makes its grand debut. Featuring all-new custom animations and effects—including multiple Dismember animations, a Hook Streak counter, hundreds of new VO responses, and more—the Feast of Abscession gives Pudge a host of new ways to sink his hooks into all that fresh meat wandering the battlefield.

After the intense selection process that culminated in Pudge’s slim Arcana Vote victory at The International, it seems only fair that the triumphant hero recognize his vanquished foe. With that in mind, Pudge can unlock a second style for his Arcana by winning 12 games when opposed by Rubick on the other team. Armed with his new hooks, and even new Rubick-specific VO responses, it’s only a matter of time before the butcher collects his due.

Check out The Feast of Abscession Update page for more information on all this new Arcana has to offer.

Introducing Dota Plus

Today’s update unveils Dota Plus, a new monthly subscription service designed to help you get the most out of every match you play.

Dota Plus is an evolution of the Battle Pass. In the past we released two types of Battle Passes, ones that revolved around the Majors, and one around The International. As a result of the recent introduction of the Pro Circuit, we’ve replaced the Majors Battle Passes with a new type of service that doesn’t depend on a specific start and end date, and one that we can continually add features and content to over time.

This reimagining of the Majors Battle Pass will be an ongoing, uninterrupted service filled with features that provide both progression and opportunities for improvement. Hero Leveling offers you a way to make progress every match while earning Shards, a new currency that can be used to unlock rewards. Test your skills by completing hundreds of new Challenges of varying difficulties. Use the Plus Assistant to help you make build decisions by utilizing real-time item and ability suggestions. These suggestions are based on data gathered from millions of recent games at each skill bracket, ensuring your builds stay current in the ever-evolving meta. Dota 2 spring cleaning analysis plus Better understand your playstyle by using new graphs and analysis tools both during the match and after it’s finished.

This update also includes the return of the Battle Cup. All Dota Plus members will have free weekly access to play in the weekend tournaments, while non-members can still purchase tickets for $0.99 to participate.

Everything Dota Plus has to offer is available now for $3.99 per month. Receive a discount if you sign up for a six – or twelve-month subscription. Want to gift Dota Plus to a friend? You can purchase gift memberships that will remain active for a fixed number of months.

Check out the Dota Plus page for more information on all of the features included in your subscription.

do they actualy look at replays, or do they just count the reports?

because sometimes people insist that the whole team reports one poor guy for feeding.

and when the stats of that guy are normal or a tad bad like 2-8-8 or something it should be easy to see that he isnt a feeder.

or when they report people for missuseing communication when they have no TS and didnt type anything.

Do they look at the replay?

Considering the amount of complaints and the amount of people playing this game, I think it’s fully automated. You’d need a really big team that’s only focussed on handling reports every single day to make it completely fair. Because to be honest anyone that uses the report system unjust needs to get punished badly.

I think it was mentioned somewhere that a whole team reporting you in one game only counts as one report.

Anyways the reports punish based on behaviour through time, if the abuse trend is there, then you’re more likely to get muted.

How does the report system work?

They probably look at the report from a general standpoint. If you have been reported for the same thing, over various different games by various different players, then it’s obvious that it should be looked into, then farther action would be taken.

Due to the amount of silly reports people get on Dota 2, most of them will be ignored unless (as i mentioned above). If someone reported me because they were fussy about how i played the game, i wouldn’t expect to be punished or notified by Valve.

Well I’ve made a few reports so far and only once did I receive a message saying the player had been punished.
I’d say that all reports I’ve made were justified, of course I’m biased, but there’s a few I’m sure should have received punishment and didn’t. Like a KotL force staffing to a cliff and then teleporting his entire team there while the enemy team is pushing. if this isn’t skill abuse I don’t know what is.

They should really look into each case and while that would require a huge team, they could always use community members to help them, just choose people with a x number of played hours/games and less than y reports, I mean the community has always been a big part of DotA even going as far as help design and balance stuff.

Apple has officially pushed out for download iOS 11.2.5 beta 2 IPSW links and OTA update ahead of its annual festive shutdown. The immediate release means that developers registered with the Apple Developer Program will be able to grab the latest update OTA as well as downloading the relevant IPSW files for their device(s).

The immediate release once again gives those dedicated and invested developers something to sink their teeth into and will definitely keep a few people out of trouble over the Christmas period.

It’s also notable that Apple has pushed this second pre-release seed of iOS 11.2.5 out prior to its annual festive shutdown which will see the company close its virtual doors to iTunes Connect and other services this coming December 23rd. Those doors will reopen for business on December 27, with perfect timing for new device owners to grab a slew of new apps and updates which will have been pushed through the company’s review team panel.

Where iOS 11.2.5 is concerned, we don’t expect this second pre-release seed to contain anything of any great surprise, nor do we expect Apple to have gone through the process of embedding any new features or functionality for developers and testers to sink their teeth into. Like we mentioned with the earlier release of beta 1, this is a minor point release which exists to fix issues and bugs in what users are already interacting with rather than a meaty update like iOS 11.1 or iOS 11.2 which introduced or exposes brand new features or functionality.

Still, the importance of this build is there for all to see as you really can’t entirely benefit from a feature-packed release unless there is a follow-up release to improve the build and eradicate any niggles or known problems.

Apple has also found itself in a position recently whereby it has been forced to release software updates ahead of schedule in order to scratch out some semi-serious bugs and flaws. This iOS 11.2.5 version is an expected release – albeit one that seemingly jumped a few versions – to try and get the platform back on an even footing and get a number of the known issues ironed out and put to bed. Developers with a beta configuration profile installed on their device can grab the update now from Settings > General > Software Update section on their iOS device. IPSW files of iOS 11.2.5 beta 2 on the hand can be grabbed over from developer. apple. com.

Update x1: Alongside beta 2 of iOS 11.2.5, Apple has also released beta 2 of tvOS 11.2.5 and watchOS 4.2.2.

Update x2: Here are iOS 11.2.5 beta 2 changelog details straight from Apple: iOS 11.2.5 Beta 2 Changes, Release Notes And Changelog Details You Need To Know About.

Here’s What’s New In iOS 6 Beta 4 [Updatedx8]

Apple seeded developers of iOS Developer Program with iOS 6 beta 4 earlier today, which according to the release notes includes some bug fixes and improvements.

Here’s the list of new features and changes in iOS 6 beta 4 that have been discovered so far.

MacRumors reports that Apple has removed the native YouTube app, which came preinstalled with the iPhone since it’s launch in 2007.

This doesn’t come as a surprise to us as the YouTube app was hardly updated since 2007 and we preferred to use the YouTube web app in mobile Safari, which is much better.

Apple has issued the following statement to The Verge about the removal of the YouTube app:

Our license to include the YouTube app in iOS has ended, customers can use YouTube in the Safari browser and Google is working on a new YouTube app to be on the App Store.

That worked out quite well from users point of view.

Update 1:

  • Privacy Settings now includes a section for Bluetooth sharing, which will show all the apps that have requested the ability to share data via Bluetooth (via 9to5Mac).
  • The Passbook app has been updated. It now includes a button that take you to the App Store. It looks like there will be a separate section in the App Store that support the Passbook app (via 9to5Mac).
  • You now have a Shared Calendar Alerts under Mail, Contacts, Calendar in the Settings app.
  • 9to5Mac reports that Maps experience has been improved:

Update 2:

If you’re getting “unable to check for update” error when you tap on Software Update in the Settings app for the OTA update then there seems to be a workaround. Turn off Wi-Fi and then check for the update. The OTA update should show up this time, however to download it, now enable Wi-Fi and you should be able to install the OTA update. Thanks Alan for the tip! Update: Try disabling location services if you’re getting “unable to check for update” error. Thanks Irshad for the tip!

Update 3:

There is a new settings under Cellular (Settings -> General -> Cellular/Mobile Data) called Wi-Fi Plus Cellular. According to the note, this will allow apps having trouble with Wi-Fi to use 3G. Thanks Acidburnsn0w and Fozi for the tip!

Update 4:

The Privacy settings also includes new section for Twitter and Facebook as you can see in the screenshot below. Thanks Eric for the tip!

Update 5:

After updating to iOS 6 beta 4, you’re prompted to enter your Apple ID password for iCloud. It’s not clear if this was prompted due to the change in terms and conditions. Thanks Alan for the tip!

Update 6:

Apple has updated the help section (when you tap on the “i” icon) for Siri with the new features that are included in iOS 6 such as ask Siri about sports scores and stats, where to eat, what movies to see, to post on Facebook or Twitter. Thanks Cameron for the tip!

Update 7:

Siri local search (which is supposed to be available worldwide) seems to be working in Netherlands, Korea, Australia in iOS 6 beta 4. Thanks Henry for the tip!

Update 8:

iOS 6 automatically scales to taller 1136×640 iPhone display, which strongly indicates that the next generation iPhone will come with the taller 4-inch display with 1136×640 resolution. This is probably not something new in iOS 6 beta 4, but definitely quite an important discovery so we’ve mentioned it here.

You can check out this post for the comprehensive list of iOS 6 features.

If you find anything new in iOS 6 beta 4 please let us know here and we’ll update the post.

Dota 2: WESG 2018-2019 – Day 2 Highlights

After the end of a hectic day one, the Day 2 of WESG 2018-2019 was underway. There were 36 games played in total, which is a very high number compared to some other big events. To makes matters worse, WESG is held at the same time as the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor. Even though the Minor’s games start after the end of WESG, some people who want to watch the replays have to choose whether to do that or just enjoy the Minor.

Today was also the last day from the group stage. The playoffs start tomorrow. If you missed any of the actions from yesterday, make sure to read our highlights from Day One.

Group A

Team Ukraine was definitely the strongest team in the group and their results are backing it up. Yesterday, No[o]ne and his team-mates finished with two wins.

In their first game of the day, Blackjack somehow managed to get a draw against the favourites. In game one, Ukraine drafted a very meta-based pick that completely ripped through their enemies. Seeing how their enemies played, Team Ukraine probably underestimated them a little bit too much in game two. Blackjack’s Phantom Assassin was just unkillable and the SEA team secured themselves the victory and a tie.

The next challenge ahead of Iceberg and Co. was another SEA team – Reckoning Esports. This time the Europeans gave their enemies no chances and quickly took a 2-0 victory in the series.

Despite getting a draw against Aster, it was enough for them to continue further in the tournament.

EHOME also started the day with a quick 2-0 against Reckoning Esports. The next challenge ahead of ASD and Co. was another Chinese giant – Team Aster. The laning stage in game one was very even, however, during the mid-game, EHOME was able to slowly gain the needed advantage. ASD was probably the star of the show with his flashy Invoker plays. After the loss, Aster tried to pick themselves up and dust themselves off but their attempt was unsuccessful.

Even though EHOME lost against Blackjack in their final game, they were still able to secure the second spot in their group.

The final two teams that will advance to the playoffs are Team Ukraine and EHOME.

Group B

As expected, Keen Gaming dominated the second group of WESG 2018-2019. Their first game of the day was a walk in the park as they stomped LeetPro with a quick 2-0.

Next, they had to fight against the other hidden favourite in the group – Nemiga. Dota 2 na vi dendi highlights for black The Belarusian squad is performing very well so far, despite some questionable plays yesterday. However, Keen Gaming was definitely their biggest challenge yet.

As expected, the Chinese had little to no problems against them and secured themselves a third victory.

Probably the biggest surprise here was team Australia. Dota 2 na vi dendi highlights for black On paper, they had a pretty decent line-up which was definitely capable of dealing with their enemies. However, they were just unable to synchronize well enough to make it work. The team finished with 1 win, 3 draws and 1 loss, which placed them 4th in their Group.

Keen Gaming and Gorillaz-Pride are the teams that will be playing in the playoffs.

Group C

#TNCDOTA2 will advance to the TOP 8 of the #WESG2018 World Finals after a 2-0 win against Team Team! GGs to everyone and see you tomorrow at the playoffs!#StrongerTogether#SummonYourStrength pic. twitter. com/ReRmz7rf9X

TNC Predator had little to no competition on the first day of the group stage. After getting two victories yesterday, the SEA powerhouse had to deal with their toughest challenge yet – The Final Tribe.

In the first game of the series, Gabbi and his team-mates completely outplayed the Swedish team. They had a jaw-dropping 18k net worth advantage just 30 minutes into the game. With their backs against the wall, TFT went into game two with only one goal – to win. And they did. Frost’s Troll Warlord was just way too big to handle and TNC had no other choice but to surrender.

Probably the strongest team in the entire event has to be White-Off. However, it seems like VP’s players are not taking this event seriously. They lost 2-0 against TFT in two very one-sided games.

To save themselves from elimination, WO had to step up their game. They quickly won two games against FATE Esports.

After that, their next challenge was TNC Predator. This was undoubtedly the most anticipated game in this group. In game one, the SEA powerhouse gave their enemies no glimmer of hope in one of the most one-sided games of the event.

Despite the shocking result, in the second game of the series, WO was able to turn things around and secured the win.

Both them and TNC advance further in the event.

Group D

The last group was heavily dominated my Nolifer5, a team from Central Asia. Dota 2 na vi dendi highlights for black Pretty much no one expected them to finish first but here they are, against all odds.

PotM Bottom was considered to be one of the strongest team in the group. Their first game of the day was against Mr Game Boy. The Chinese team has a very special player in their roster – the TI winner Ferrari_430. After arguably one of the most interesting games in the entire group stage, PotM Bottom was able to take the first victory in the series after an amazing back-and-forth game.

Despite the loss, Mr Game boy completely dominated the second game. The Canadian team was just unable to deal with the enemy’s Timbersaw as he snowballed out of control.

PotM vs Canarinho

The last game from the group stage was between PotM and the Brazilian squad – Team Canarinho. This was a very important game because the winner was going to join Nolifer5 in the playoffs.

The first game of the series went in favour of hFn and his team-mates. Their Shadow Fiend pick turned out to be very strong as just 30 minutes were enough to claim the win.

Facing elimination, PotM Bottom had to do something if they wanted to continue. Sadly, this did not happen. Despite picking some of the most annoying heroes in Dota, it was just not enough as hFn’s Troll Warlord had a monstrous amount of farm and eventually carried his team to victory and secured them the second place in the group.

The first day of the playoffs is shaping up to be a fun one. A lot of powerful teams made it out of groups, and the upcoming matches are sure to be exciting. Expect some high-quality Dota as the teams continue to fight for the top spot.

how many times do i have to tell you to respect me, slave?! i only want peace everywhere all around the globe! I beg of you please help me

I’m not going to respect a level 1 account despite you living in England with me and playing dota with almost 3k hours

ok, can you terll us one hero that is “possible” with a bad team?

Tanks are the main game breakers currently, as of Patch 7.21 – Most melees that are flexible enough to outrun a ranged attacker, [Like PA with basher = winners]
But you have to always have a team to play with,

Encourage your team to fight.
The most common people, even in low rank – are the ones who are only there to last hit your enemies. . . that does make the game suck

But play Pub-games
|
PA can win 70% of the time, Ancient – and lower ;->
Drow Ranger is also brilliant, with silence, and split-shots.

Phantom assassin isn’t possible with bad teams

It seems like at the moment many people are leaving dota 2 due to bad teams and i’m on the edge of also doing it since i’ve been on a terrible streak of terrible teams so i figured perhaps i can try phantom assassin and carry 1v5 late game, but sadly i can’t farm long enough to get to late game because everyone just feeds the enemy before i can actually do anything, is there any character that can 1v5 fed enemies or should i just uninstall the game like the 56,740 people that have this month alone? Because at this point it feels like a lost cause, i get myself all hyped up and excited to play dota 2 which USED to be one of my favourite games but at this point it feels more like an exhausting job rather than it does fun

If you’re not having fun, go do something else – videogames are supposed to be entertainment.

People seem to get stuck in this weird rut where they can’t just accept that their tastes have changed or they’ve gotten all the enjoyment out of something that there is to be had, and they somehow feel like they have to justify picking up different hobbies. And so they end up making these long, cringy posts about it’s not them, it’s the game, and they are totally, objectively right in walking away despite they fact that they sunk thousands of hours into it. When in reality, NO ONE CARES IF YOU LEAVE. Maybe 56,000 people did un-install DotA this month, but there were also something on the order of 12-million unique players (or at least accounts) who played DotA. It’s really no big deal if you take a break from DotA, nor if that break becomes permanent.

For context, you have already posted multiple threads where you claimed it was “impossible” to win in Dota at all, multiple thrreads where you claimed it was impossible to win with certain heroes and you actually ironically posted a thread claiming it was impossible to kill PA. Since you’re now playing PA, can you give us the matchid of a game where it was “impossible” to kill you?

Seasonal MMR system pros and effects on players

The new seasonal ranked system will be out on November 22. Let’s find out how it will benefit the players, counter account buying, and improve the MMR brackets.

Account buying is less attractive

Dota 2 is plagued by account buyers because for a cheap price one can finally get the “well-deserved” 4-5k rank. The seasonal ranked system will directly fight against this problem as the MMR resets every six months.

We still don’t know how much the calibration will influence our actual rank.

Most likely Valve will only do a “soft reset” – players should be able to earn a MMR similar to the old one.

What is a soft MMR reset

I will use as an example the system implemented in Overwatch where players must recalibrate every three months.

I don’t play OW constantly but I still fight my way in all the calibration matches. In the past months I barely touched the game, and after the evaluation I got about 1k rank less than in the previous season. Afterwards, I practiced a lot while waiting for the new one – the training brought fruits as I regained my old rating.

Even if Valve will use a similar technique instead of a “hard reset”, we can still see how an account buyer could potentially lose 1k MMR or more.

The seasonal system won’t end account buying completely, because there will be always people that don’t care about the money spent and will keep getting new ones, but I am sure that it will greatly undermine this trend.

A fresh MMR distribution will stabilize the brackets

There are many players that are stuck in a certain MMR range. Even if they improved a lot in the past years, they still couldn’t move to the next bracket for different reasons.

I am gonna share a personal circumstance with you guys.

Honestly, I mostly pick core heroes. I know that it is possible to rank up using a support, but I am aware that generally it is more difficult. If you are one of those that achieved it, Valve should give you an extra medal!

Some of my support friends were stuck in the same MMR range, and only after starting picking cores they improved their rank by about 1k – 1.5k

Thereafter, they went back to their usual support position as they love that gameplay the most. They successfully retained the rank, proving that the promotion was deserved.

A quick note: Always be friendly with support players as they are the most patient and reasonable individuals on this planet. If carries will keep treating them poorly we will have bigger issues to face than just our rating.

Redistributing the MMR will give a chance to all those stuck in the same bracket, and every six months they will have a new opportunity to test their growth.

Instead, I don’t think Valve will do a hard reset – they could never delete all our progress. If you are a 4k or 5k player, I am sure that the new system will take it into account when calculating your new MMR. 1k players can’t expect to jump directly to 4k, but 4k won’t drop down to 1k either.

Professional Career

In April 2009, ArtStyle joined DTS at the expense of Axypa. Mirena dota 2 art style [1] During ESWC 2010, ArtStyle showed strong performances, with DTS claiming second place, only losing to eventual champions EHOME. During WDC, ArtStyle showed his versatility and craft by overpowering EHOME in the group stage with a surprise strategy, followed by a win over LGD, and eventually claimed third. At the end of 2010, ArtStyle was named captain of the year by media site GosuGamers. [2]

Natus Vincere

In December 2010, after a series of conflict with manager v1lat, [3] ArtStyle left DTS [4] and joined Na`Vi along with Dendi, [5] replacing Mag

. [6] After a roster change, Na`Vi stomped through ASUS Summer 2011 and, with an all-win record, won the $1,000,000 Grand Prize from Dota 2 The International, cementing ArtStyle’s legendary captain status.

Back to DTS

After the International, ArtStyle went a long vacation which saw him miss Techlabs Cup. Soon after that, Na`Vi announced his departure from the team, [7] and ArtStyle reformed DTS with players from HT. They participated in the offline finals of ICS 9 and placed 4th. [8]

Darer

In January 2012, ArtStyle was spotted playing as a stand-in for M5. In a few weeks, after a huge scandal, the former M5 players left their organization and Darer Entertainment had made it official that the former M5 team would be playing for them with ArtStyle becoming the captain. However, their results were rather average, and many fans questioned ArtStyle’s legendary captain skills. Eventually, ArtStyle silenced all doubters in a showmatch Darer vs Virtus. pro by ingenious picks, which seemed weak and without synergy at first, but worked perfectly, and Darer was able to win in 15 minutes.

Under ArtStyle’s leadership, team Darer was invited to the International 2012. Soon after that, ArtStyle changed his captain position with his teammate Goblak, the former DTS captain. The reason behind this was simple – ArtStyle, who had been criticized for “non-shining” performances, wanted to play more carry-like heroes instead of being classic captain-support. After these role changes, ArtStyle excelled with strength-based semicarry heroes such as Night Stalker or Chaos Knight.

Although Darer was eliminated in the round 2 of the lower bracket at the International 2012, ArtStyle’s performances were stable. His highlight moment was in the first round of the lower bracket against team Absolute Legends. ArtStyle’s Chaos Knight was extremely effective against aL and played a major role in Darer’s success.

Team Kharkiv/Eclypsia Gaming

Shortly after The International 2012, team Darer disbanded, and ArtStyle formed a new team called Team Kharkiv, with Mag, ALWAYSWANNAFLY, dubas, and Unstop. The team was picked up by Eclypsia Gaming in October 2012.
