Pyrion Flax announcer in the files.

Listen, I don’t dislike the guy. His videos make me chuckle, but the announcer pack he’s submitted is just terrible. I’m fine for people making announcer packs and getting them added, but they have to at least put SOME effort into it. The pirate pack is someone actually doing a voice, Pyrion Flax’s is just him speaking. That’s it. I honestly think this needs to be addressed.

Feel free to discuss your opinion on the situation.

I posted it on reddit already. I don’t agree with it and Valve should think a bit before adding things into the game. this is Alpine Ursa all over again!

e: Also I don’t care if Dendi has a Announcer Pack. If the quality of the announcer pack is bad it shouldn’t be add to the game.

“From the first point was begat a line. From this line was begat a world. And that first point was one I made.”

First of all, if you don’t like it don’t buy it. It’s not something like a cosmetic item which you show off to other people, it’s just for yourself and does not interact with anyone.

I’ve only heard the Teaser, and I didn’t find a problem with any of the sentences of the announcer. It’s a pack of a real person, of course it will be just him speaking with his normal tone and “content”.

I’ve read that excuse 123676712 times already, please use another one.

As far as I am concerned they can implement every single announcer pack anybody can think of, because I will never have to hear it myself. Cosmetics you are forced to see (until someone mods the game), announcer packs are only heard if YOU enable them.

For this reason I do not see why it would even bother you in the slightest.

My only complaint is the quality standard gets lowered theoretically. If something terrible gets in, what’s next?

It doesn’t bother me. What I do care is things with good and relevant content for the game itself. I see Pyrion Flax’s videos on youtube and that guy is hilarious but the Announcer Pack isn’t and it seems superficial.
If they can implement every single announcer pack why didn’t Valve added DOTACINEMA’s one?

“From the first point was begat a line. From this line was begat a world. And that first point was one I made.”

The fact that there is no option (as of yet) to disable cosmetics does not mean I should just accept having these items/announcer packs in game.

I don’t feel that this should be in the game this announcer pack, but as there IS an option to not be able to use it, why can’t the same be applied to ALL cosmetics? Same thing happened with TF2, with constant updates of adding hats and gimmicky items. My already stretched bandwidth couldn’t handle the constant updates TF2 had and I eventually had to stop playing and updating all together.

This is why I think announcer packs like this shouldn’t be added to the game. Because you will then have every man and their dog who has the smallest amount of E-celeb status making an item or an announcer pack and dota 2 will start to go down that path again of constant updates with nothing but new items for the store.

After being teamless for a period of time, Puppey attended DreamHack Summer 2009 as a stand-in for Mouz, where they placed 5th. This is where the famous Puppey – KuroKy “bromance” began. [1] The 7th of June the ex-Virtus. pro team under the leadership of “joLiE” goes under the sponsorship of “KingSurf”, getting a new tag – “Ks. int”. 18 year old Puppey was invited to the team as an experienced player.

Their first tournament was ASUS Summer Open 2008 on the 24th of August. A loss to “Rush3D” in the finals and a 2nd place finish wasn’t too bad for a newly formed team. A week after the loss on ASUS some players left the team, or went inactive. This led to the merging of two teams – KS. int and WG. [1] The new team tested their strength right away, in the East Europe Dota Championship where they faced “Rush3D” in the finals. “KS. int” had their revenge, but unfortunately it wasn’t an important tournament and the prize money was scarce. 2009 was approaching, after more roster changes the team still had no stability, or worthwhile results. Na`Vi – new home [ edit ]

Na`Vi’s roster would be: ArtStyle, Dendi, XBOCT, Puppey, and LighTofHeaveN. The reason for Puppey to leave GG. net was the lack of LAN event participation. In all this time GG. net didn’t attend a single LAN event, whereas any given CIS team attended at least 3 for the same time. Puppey’s first tournament under Na`Vi tag was the ICS#8 playoffs. In the winner bracket semi-final Na`vi met GG. net and stomped them in two quick games. Na`Vi took first place over MYM (2-0), taking their first win in the first online tournament with the new roster. On the 13th of August the team played in ASUS OPEN Summer 2011. It was their first LAN – and their first win. Next up would be The International. The first Dota 2 tournament – The International, with the unbelievable prizepool of $1.6 mil, was coming. Na`Vi got the betakeys required to play the game only 3 weeks before the tournament. (Puppey interview before The International)

Dota 2 [ edit ]

With Na’vi [ edit ]

Puppey made his first steps into the Dota 2 competitive scene with Natus Vincere among the likes of Dendi and Artstyle, as they competed in The International 2011. They went undefeated throughout the whole tournament, winning the unprecedented $1,000,000 USD grand prize. They also won ESWC 2011 and took home $12,000 USD. [2] In both of these tournaments, he demonstrated fantastic prediction with Chen’s ability to send heroes back to base. Puppey became Natus Vincere’s Captain after Artstyle’s departure from the team in October 2011. After The International 2011 Puppey went on to captain Na’vi to a successful second place in both The International 2012 and The International 2013, and multiple other high place finishes. During the run-up to the The International 2014 it became clear that Na’vi wasn’t the dominant force it once was. They finished TI2014 in seventh place, their worst result in a TI.

He was then released from Na`Vi on August 20, 2014. [3] One week later, on August 27th, it was revealed that Puppey, along with Kuroky, Fly, BigDaddy, and s4, had formed Team Secret.

Team Secret [ edit ]

Hailed by many as a super team, Puppey joined Team Secret as their captain. After a rough start and some roster switches for the new super team they got their first LAN tournament win at the The Summit 3. Team Secret looked really dominant the months before The International 2015, but only managed to finish seventh.

After The International 2015 Team Secret split up, with only Puppey remaining. Puppey then formed a new team around himself. The new Secret was able to win the MLG World Finals against TI5 champions, Evil Geniuses as well as taking the Nanyang Dota Championship from Vici Gaming and taking runner-up at the Frankfurt Major. The team however, faltered at the end of the year with an early departure from the World Cyber Arena 2015. At early 2016, the team’s mediocre results marched on with a 5th-6th finish at Starladder and a 7th-8th finish at the MarsTV Dota League. The team, however, made a large resurgence by winning the Shanghai Major early into the year. After a last place finish at the Dota Pit, in a controversial decision, the team opted to kick both w33 and MiSeRy to welcome UNiVeRse and Arteezy.

The shuffle did not have the intended results as the team had a second-to-last placing at ESL One Manila and a last place finish at the Manila Major. After which, the team traded UNiVeRse for BuLba, and later received Aui 2000 as a coach. The team seemed to have recovered with a second place finish at Starladder, but they were quickly shot back down to the bottom with a last place finish at The International 2016.

The team later disbanded a second time with all members and coaches, save for Puppey and Pieliedie, leaving. Although there was a major setback, the team was able to rebound when it received Midone, Forev and MP from the post-International shuffle. The reformed team was able to take top 4 the MarsTV Dota League as well as 1st at the Faceit Invitational. In the end, though, the team failed to qualify for the Boston Major, and Forev later departed and was replaced by Khezu. Team Secret would later go on to take first at ROG MASTERS.

Five memorable performances from StarLadder XII

There were some big performances and some even bigger upsets throughout the weekend at Dreamhack Bucharest, but let’s focus on the players. We have compiled a Team of the Tournament; a five man list of some of the more memorable individual performances and the heroes they dominated on. Let’s take a look.

Interview with BigDaddy: “We learned a lot this LAN”

We sat down with Cloud9’s BigDaddy after their third place finish at Starladder XII, he talks about playing against top level teams like Vici Gaming, East vs West matchup, his ideas for the new patch and Valve’s new tournament system.

iG. BurNing : “VG were better prepared than us”

We sat down with BurNing for a short video interview after the Grand Final of StarLadder XII. Through his answers, BurNing talks about iG’s defeat against ViCi Gaming, their run in the tournament and the challenges they will face in the future.

ViCi Gaming declared champion of StarLader XII after 3-1 victory

ViCi Gaming is the new StarLadder champion after an impressive 3-1 victory against iG in the grand finals of the tournament. Through their victory, they have earned the first place prize of $67,500, while iG will have to settle for $30,000.

StarLadder XII Final Day – Third place finish for Cloud 9

Bone7 and Cloud 9 has made it through to the top three to keep the Romanian crowds happy but they come up against their most important challenge yet, an elimination match against a strong Invictus Gaming. Only two matches remain and live coverage begins at 10:30 CEST.

StarLadder XII Day 2 – VG goes to finals, Team Tinker eliminated

Only four teams remain in the race of StarLadder XII, after the elimination of both Team MY and Alliance from the competition. Invictus Gaming and ViCi Gaming will cross their swords for the first Grand Final spot, while Team Tinker and Cloud9 will fight for their own survival in their Lower Bracket match.

StarLadder XII Day 2 – Cloud9 and Team Tinker stay in the race

StarLadder XII is turning into a terrible tournament for European teams with two already eliminated and the remaining two Cloud 9 and Alliance are forced to compete against each other for the privilege of reaching the next round. On the second stage Team MY are looking to bounce straight back with a win over American qualifiers Team Tinker.

StarLadder XII Day 2 – ViCi Gaming and Invictus Gaming dominate

With Secret eliminated it’s now time to focus on the upper bracket semi-finals. Cloud 9 are the only Western team still undefeated but face a massive challenge against the new roster of ViCi Gaming while Invictus Gaming and Team MY battle it out to discover who will continue their good form.

StarLadder XII Day 2 – Secret eliminated at the first stage

Bucharest will start seriously heating up with some must-win matches for the teams starting with an early morning elimination match between Team Secret and Alliance. A loss means they exit the tournament at the first stage, so both teams will come out fighting to remain in the competition.

Interview with Conrad Janzen of Cloud9

Interview with Conrad Janzen

Player Manager of Cloud9

Conrad Janzen: My name is Conrad Janzen. I am from Vancouver, Canada. Dota 2 team secret vs c9 guitar I have been working full time in esports for about three to four years in a variety of games, but focusing primarily on Dota 2. I have worn many hats, but for the past eight months I have been the player manager for Cloud9.

I never really decided to become a player manager, but my skillset fit the role very well. It was something I always wanted to do but the timing was never right until this year. I have a background in film production where I worked with actors and crew members, which gave me a skillset easily translatable to player managing.

I previously worked with Evil Geniuses and my last major work with them was with Charlie Yang, manager of EG, assisting him at TI4. At the event I proved myself and when Cloud9 were looking for a new manager, Charlie recommended me to fill the role there. I first started working with the team at Starladder 10 and have been with them since then.

In my opinion, the duty of a manager is to provide everything possible to make sure the players can focus on the game. I managed the logistics, scheduling, arranged discussions with Jack, media outlets, tournament organizers, sponsor representatives and more. I also provided a lot of on-site support and in general just tried to besomeone they could speak to about anything. I also ran the c9dota2 snapchat to provide more of a behind the scenes look for fans of the team.

Going into TI5 I was feeling quite confident in the team. I thought they were looking strong and I would like to say the players felt the same way.

My preparation for the event was done a month in advance in terms of logistics – a lot of flight changes, requests for additional hotel rooms, etc. I spoke with Valve very little during that time.

Conrad: I believe that losing to CDEC shook them up a bit, but they sat down and were professional about getting ready for the next match almost immediately. I don’t think anyone expected CDEC to be the powerhouse that they were at TI5, and it threw a lot of teams off guard.

Both myself and ppasarel recommended notes for bOne7. ppasarel drew up a very detailed (but also concise) set of notes for each of the opponents. I printed them out and provided the binder to bOne7.

Conrad: Dota 2 is the only esport where an organization like Team Secret can exist, and even then, it’s extremely difficult. Team Secret was a super team that ended up winning a lot of tournaments, making the self-funded team possible. They still had an awesome support staff in Cyborgmatt, Kemal and 1437, even though they are considered an “independent team.” Being independent comes with the benefit of not dealing with sponsors, media, and pretty much allows you to just focus on playing the game.

By working with an organization like C9/EG, you gain some benefits like salary, equipment, bootcamp, accountants, contacts, and lots of unquantifiable resources. I think both have their pros and cons but it’s about finding what works for you as a player.

Alright, I know we already touched on it a little bit but as you formerly managed Aui, who was just recently kicked from EG after winning TI5. I’d like to get your thoughts on the matter, as a manager.

Charlie released a statement saying “Personally, I’m deeply affected by this and I’m very sad to see Kurtis go. I’ve known him the longest out of anyone on the team. He was the one that originally asked me to be the manager for Potm Bottom years ago, and I cannot state enough how depressed I am to see him go. I cannot imagine how much worse he feels. Professionally, I trust the judgment of the captain and the other players. I will not make roster decisions on their behalf and I will not force players to play on rosters they don’t want to play on.”

How do you feel about players in the west having the ability to seemingly make these decisions, even on TI winning teams, without needing to really talk/agree with their organizations about it? Do you think the players might have too much control over these types of things, ompared to China where most players are under strict contracts and trades are made under the approval of the team owners and managers most of the time?

Thank you so much for taking the time to talk to me. I only have three very quick questions left:

1) Which player on C9 did you have to manage the most?
2) How did you come up with the ID QuantumPope, because it sounds amazing?
and 3) What’s your favourite hero in dota (and please don’t say techies!)?

Female Dota 2 team banned for being too skilled

So you’ve got a completely kitted all-girl Dota 2 team, and you have hopes of winning the big tournament that is exclusive to the gender. You know your players are good, but how good? Good enough to be seen as a “male” gamer? Careful now, apparently there’s a noticeable skill difference which could cause trouble. Don’t believe me? An admin recently banned an entire team from an all-female tournament because one of their players was too skilled to be female.

What is this, 1492? For starters, I really don’t know why there is an exclusively female contest in the first place. Males are biologically stronger, which is why there are gender specific events in athletics for example. Dota 2 on the other hand is more about team play, general decision making, and good communication. I guarantee you that my male hands and fingers don’t give me any kind of advantage, at least not that I know of.

The administrator of this particular tournament (Girls Wars SEA) must have had some super powers to tell the difference though (via Player Attack)

An administrator, claiming to know the difference between “girl and boy game style”, has commented on the team’s midlaner, stating that a girl “can’t play like that”. It’s not clear if event organisers are accusing team Dolls of bringing a boy onto the team, or if the girl in question is simply too good.

While I would MAYBE give the administrator the benefit of the doubt (perhaps he really is some professional when it comes to telling the difference between male and female gaming styles, which may be plausible), the following image eliminates any hope I had for him. The captain of the banned team, Team Dolls, posted the screenshot to her Facebook (apologies for the poor quality):

It’s just complete ignorance from the admin. He claims that girls simply “can’t play like that”. There was no real conclusive proof, or an investigation for that matter. The captain goes on to express her disgust at the whole saga:

So you’re hosting tournaments for girls to show what they’re capable of, but you disqualify them when they’ve exceeded your expectations and encroach into what you think is the exclusively male territory of skill?

So what are girls joining this tournament for? To perform as poorly as possible to reinforce the stereotype that all girls suck at gaming, so YOU can feel safe in your already male-dominated community?

The organisers of the tournament have recently given comment as to why Team Dolls were banned. It’s rather lengthy, but here’s a portion of it:

Going into the matter, Dolls Team was disqualified because we suspected that they used a male player, or the so called “pilot”, during their match against Team DDR. Here are the reasons regarding the decision for disqualification:

  • While monitoring the game, we carefully observe for the consistency of gameplay of the player by also checking her other gamelogs. We saw that there was a tremendous change on how the hero was played during early compared to mid game. This though was not enough reason for us to disqualify the team. ( http://prntscr. com/4tsz8j)
  • The team already violated a rule even before the tournament has started – Under III. Registration-Check In: Check IN via – Skype or raidcall. Their team wasn’t able to present any Skype accounts, especially the captain. They rather insisted on using in-game voice chat. As much as we wanted to go by the rules, and consider the team’s effort to be present on the tournament, we did allow them to participate. But we noted their violation and carefully observed their team.
  • Other than added justification that the team may be using a male player by violating Check-in rules, as the match proceeded, we carefully investigated that specific account. We then confirmed with the captain that there are quite a lot of cases where the girl actually had her boyfriend play on her account ( http://prntscr. com/4tsyzi) .

With all these , only then we have decided to finally disqualify the team without the single thought of offending any other female players, or as they say “SEXIST”.

Team Dolls are wrong for not following the official rules of the tournament no doubt. I still feel that the dismissal was unfair, especially if, as the captain claims, the offending teamie lets her boyfriend use her account. Personally, I would never share my account with anybody (yes, not even my imaginary girlfriend).

There could have definitely been a much more involved investigation before dismissing the team entirely. I just think the whole thing was blown out of proportion because the admin simply stated that the player was too good to be a girl, raising sexist sirens everywhere.

What is your opinion on this whole debacle? Is the skill gap between male and female gamers really that noticeable? I just don’t get it.

All Dota 2 heroes available in Dota Underlords

Here’s the full list with their tiers and Alliances.

Valve surprised its fans by releasing the company’s official take on Auto Chess yesterday, Dota Underlords. This is the company’s version of the Dota 2 mod that it promised to release after Valve and the Auto Chess creators agreed to not work together and release separate versions of it.

Dota Underlords is out in closed beta, restricting players to those who own this year’s The International Battle Pass. The game will be out in open beta to everyone in a week, according to Valve.

Even though there’s a player restriction, fans of Dota 2 and Auto Chess are eager to see which characters from the MOBA have been added to Underlords. Valve kept many of the ones from the original Auto Chess mod, but it’s made some changes to their Race and Class, which are now unified and called Alliances.

The International 2020 is headed to Sweden’s Ericsson Globe

As The International 2019 was coming to a close in Shanghai, information on next year’s edition of The International was revealed.

Valve announced that next year’s Dota 2 championship would take place in Stockholm, Sweden. The city’s mayor, Anna Konig Jerlmyr, said that Stockholm was “honored” to host the 10th International Dota 2 tournament in an announcement video that played at TI9.

“The International is a celebration. The celebration of the enormous power of professional Dota, and of the community that has taken part in the journey. In Stockholm, the passion for Dota runs deep. We are honored to host the world in cheering on your favorite teams while paying tribute to a decade of champions as they compete for the most prestigious trophy in all of esports,” she declared.

This is the first International tournament held in Europe since TI1, which took place in Cologne, Germany. It only makes sense to come full circle 10 years later. Dates have yet to be announced.

TI10 being held at the Ericsson Globe

During the announcement video for The International 2020, fans became fixated on the large, white, spherical structure with the setting sun reflecting off the top. That is the Ericsson Globe, where The International 2020 will be held.

Stockholm’s Ericsson Globe is the world’s largest hemispherical building. Designed to serve as the sun in the world’s largest permanent model of the solar system, the building also referred to as Globen is 361 feet in diameter and 279 feet high. The spacious sphere has a seating capacity of 16,000 for shows and concerts. Its all-time capacity record is 17,303 attendees for a 2018 Metallica concert.

The International 2020 not the only esports event at Ericsson Globe

While the Dota 2 tournament is sure to be a special occasion, the Ericsson Globe has hosted many other iconic events since it opened in 1989. This includes a number of esports tournaments.

Among that lot is the Starcraft 2 World Championship Series European Finals in 2012, which was played on StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty. The event closed out a tournament series that included more than 30 other live events.

More recently, DreamHack Masters Stockholm came to the Globen. The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament saw North defeat Astralis in the finals for the $100,000 top prize.

Karin Wanngård, Stockholm’s mayor at the time, discussed the significance of hosting the CSGO tournament.

“Stockholm is one of the world’s most important tech cities, and we have established ourselves as a prominent event city. We have a long tradition of esports that we are now building on,” she said in a statement.

And of course, Sweden is home to a number of prominent esports organizations including Fnatic, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and Alliance. The country has been a deep well of esports talent over the years, which has seen Swedish players rise to the top of every major esports title.

Of course, much of the Ericsson Globe’s history is wrapped up in traditional sports. Ice hockey is actually the Globe’s primary function, as it’s home to the AIK, Djurgardens IF, and Hammarby IF. The arena has been home to major ice hockey events, including the Ice Hockey World Championships in 1989, 1995, 2012, and 2013.

The Ericsson Globe has also hosted a variety of other sporting events, including World Cup of Hockey in 1996 and 2004, the Men’s World Floorball Championships in 1996 and 2006, the European Men’s Basketball Championships in 2003, the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2012, and, most recently, the 2015 European Figure Skating Championships.

Ericsson Globe’s musical history

The Ericsson Globe has hosted some of the biggest bands in music.

In 1989, Globen was home to Pink Floyd during their Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour. In 1990, Eric Clapton’s Journeyman World Tour stopped at the Ericsson Globe, followed by Guns N’ Roses in 1991.

Janet Jackson’s world tour stopped came by in 1995 and Tina Turner took her Wildest Dreams Tour to the same venue in 1996. Spice Girls’ Spiceworld Tour took to the Ericcson Globe stage in 1998, followed by the Backstreet Boys in 1999 and Britney Spears in 2000.

As the Globen became more and more well known for its big-name guests, it was used for the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2000. Eminem’s Anger Management Tour stopped by a year later, then Shania Twain in 2004. That was the same year that Britney Spears returned to the Stockholm venue. She also returned in 2009, the same year that the Globen became a stop for Metallica, Green Day, and Tina Turner.

In the past 10 years, many superstars have graced the Ericsson Globe’s stage. This includes Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, and Justin Bieber. This year, Ariana Grande used the Globen during her Sweetener World Tour and Nicki Minaj did the same for hers.

So with the compendium golden weapon treasure for AM, I decided to play this hero. Can you guys give me some tips to keep in mind with this hero? I just did 2 matches, fairly alright, actually the last match went pretty great. First time I play a carry so it’s pretty neat to win the team to victory like that, but I don’t think I played as best as I could have.

My ulti for example, is it OK to use it for solo heroes to kill them? Or should I really use it for group fights? I really haven’t done much dmg with it, but I guess I should check the enemies mana bars, it’s just a hassle to select em mid-combat and contemplate wether I should ulti or not.

Farm , farm and farm , then die in a teamfight becouse you have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ HP stats.

It’s okay to use your ulti to solo-kill heroes if it’s the best way to secure the kill. But you have to know when to use it – generally it’s best to use it after you’ve wailed on them a decent amount with your right-clicks.

Generally, Anti-Mage is your basic hard carry – you can’t really do anything at the start of the match except farm. Generally the first big item you want to build is a Battle Fury, and then you go to town farming the jungle creeps. You’ll want to get Manta Style and Skull Basher, too.

Also, generally you should max Blink first.

I’d say that staying out of team fights early on is acceptable. I find he doesn’t really come online until he gets at least two of his major items (such as BF and Manta Style).

Farm , farm and farm , then die in a teamfight becouse you have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ HP stats.

Yea thats also something, I was a ton of times in the jungle farming. Especially after I got battle fury, and I missed some team fights. Is this OK?

Thanks all, will try to practice more. Got dazzle support on my lane last match and that worked pretty well, but the match before that I was somehow forced to go mid. Does AM work mid at all? I didn’t know what item build to pick, so I just went with the regular and skipped the bottle (that mid heroes take). The match was lost though, probably just a bad pick or outclassed.

If I play as AM I should probably always go either lane or jungle, right?

I don’t know why people have the stupid idea that “ANTEH MEG BEUSHT CURRY CEN KEEL PEE AH SUPEA EZ” and then die to a lucky crit. Anti-Mage (obviously) works best against Magic heroes, thanks to his Mana Burn and passive Magic Resistance (Never forget that he has that!) Along with that, Int. heroes generally have bigger mana pools, therefor becoming potentially more valuable targets for your Ultimate.

Farm , farm and farm,

Your first (about) 20 minuets of the game should be spent farming the buck out of everything. Get Battlefury if the game is going well. Get Vanguard if the game is going poorly. (One too many times I’ve seen AMs building BF 30 mins into the game and dying whenever they enter a teamfight because they have no HP)
Other than that, be sure to get a Yasha. Silly builds dota 2 anti mage comic Then you can basically build whatever carry ♥♥♥♥ you want.

My ulti for example, is it OK to use it for solo heroes to kill them? Or should I really use it for group fights? I really haven’t done much dmg with it, but I guess I should check the enemies mana bars, it’s just a hassle to select em mid-combat and contemplate wether I should ulti or not.

If you can get a kill with your Ult then go for it. You need all the farm you can get. The cool-down for the Ult (especially in the early game) is about equal to the amount of times you’ll need to kill-secure with it. Don’t be afraid to use your abilities, it’s not Black Hole!

But yes, later on you should try to use it in team-fights. Don’t hold up on it though. Sometimes killing a semi-melee semi-spell caster hero (the likes of Earthshaker and Lina) quickly with your ult can outweigh the “super epic damage” you can deal by waiting a bit. (Don’t want to get stunned and die!)

When you play a carry, survivability is everything. Make a Vlad as your first core item.

People build Battlefury on Antimage often, this is helpful if you are jungling, with your blink and battlefury, you can clear the entire forest in less than a minute.

Manta is advised as your illusions do their mana burn on targets, this compliments your ultimate.

Skullbasher – Abyssal blades are recommended when you need to lock down a fast target, Antimage is fast by himself, but at times you will still need it to lock down a Weaver or someone.

For more survivability, some build Butterfly, some build Heart. Both has it’s own uses. For instance, Antimage’s BAT is quite low, meaning you hit more times than many heroes. Building Agility item like Butterfly would compliment that. But when someone already has an MKB in the other team, you might just go with Heart.

EBlade is a good pick up. Your ultimate deals magic damage (eventhough he hates magic), so, if you are quick enough, do an EBlade active on the target before you ulti him, this secures a killl. Eblade also gives you a tonne of Agility, meaning, more hits, more armor, more damage.

If you are against a magic damage team or just against magic nukes in lane, maxing your magic resistance first is obvious. I cannot tell you a specific step by step skill build as it depends a lot on who you are against in lane.

And, you dont have to see his mana to do your ultimate. Once you are level 16 or a higher, a few hits is all it takes to kill an average hero with your ulti.

While playing a carry, your main objective is to maximize your GPM. If you manage to do that and your team could hold the line till you get farmed, you automatically won the game.

TLDR?
Practice against bots and learn everything that I just said by yourself.

Introduction to Omniknight, our Epic Bearded Friend

Omniknight is the hero that is easily overlooked. he`s listed as a support but has the potential to carry because of the fact that he can keep himself alive from ANYTHING. His Spells can heal, give magic immunity, slow down enemies, and can even call upon BUDDHA to protect his epic beard and his friends.

The Gear

You already have the beard, what else could you need?
Well. for starters. Mana
Omni is one of those heroes who is really really spell dependent and needs mana, but whats this crazy build for? CARRIES. NOT SUPPORTS.

Early Game:
Soul Ring is great on most heroes, Omni is no exception, but what do I get first? the Health ring or mask? WRONG. You get the Recipe first, because you can buy from the side shops anyway.
After that, get yourself a Ring of Basilius, this`ll give you some Mana Regen and can help you push the lane if you`re looking to push. If not, go ahead and be a ***** and turn the ring off. Be sure to get boots.

Mid Game:
Upgrade them boots to PHASE not ARCANE. Why? DEGEN AURA, you`re purpose is to slow as much as possible with degen aura, be a **** and body block them. Also upgrade your Basilius into a Vlads. This`ll give you some nice lifesteal which is good on anybody, as well as some extra auras for pushing. Next up, get yourself a Sange. It is a very nice item on you because it has a chance to make your attacks SLOW the enemy even more along with your DEGEN AURA. Upgrade it into a SnY ASAP, because you might wanna right click, also you`ll get extra movespeed. And before you head into the late game, pick up a HYPERSTONE which will increase your attack speed crazily. Upgrade this into either an Assault Cuirass or a Mjollnir later on.

Late Game:
As we touched on earlier, your Hyperstone should be either an Assault Cuirass or a Mjollnir depending on personal preference, team composition, or both. If you can get both items you`ll be crazy fast in the attack speed area. Omniknight dota 2 set riki After that, go get yourself the item of your dreams. If you crave Tankiness get yourself a HEART OF TARRASQUE, but if it is damage you want, get yourself a DIVINE RAPIER. if you choose to go with the latter I will call you a Heartless Monster-get it? get it? aw who am I k >

THE SKILLZ

Get Purification right off the bat, the heal will come in handy once you run out of tangoes or your Health pot was destroyed by that pesky ranged creep. continue to max it out first. at level 2 you want to get a level of repel so that Spell Spamming Lina on the other team cant do SHEIZA to you. At level 3 you want to get Degen Aura, this will help you get a first blood, and combined with phase boots in the items chapter, you can really be annoying to enemies and they will see you as more of a threat. Max this out 2nd. Next up is your ULTIMATE SKILL, Guardian Angel. This skill calls upon your God of choice, and he will save you from all that is mortal (physical attacks) but you`ll have to save yourself from anything that is divine (magical damage). He also heals up your wounds for you. What a nice guy.

The Friends and Foes

Friends:
People who you can kill steal easily, because as a carry you want to get as much kills as possible, even if that means having to killsteal. Also, being a good teammate will get you some commends on your Dota profile.

So lets go with:
Pudge
Not only can he be KS`d easily, he will really benefit from a free BKB.

Any Other Carry
Why? Free BKB.

Huskar
We all know the trick, Huskar uses Life Break, then you heal him up.

Kunkka and Leshrac
Their respective stuns have set up times, so use that Degen Aura to slow them down and body block for an easy stun hit.

Foes
Who doesn`t like Chuck Norris? apparently these haters (Heroes)

Riki, Phantom Lancer and Naga Siren
These guys will almost always have a diffusal blade in pubs, so they will wanna take down your Repel as much as possible.

Beastmaster
FUS RO DAAAAAAAH! His Primal Roar will go right through Magic Immunity, making your Repel ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS

Rubick
He`s just an arsehole thief, lets say you just Guardian Angel`d and you repel a teammate so they can be virtually invulnerable. And this twitchy scumbag steals your Guardian Angel because you didn`t give yourself magic immunity.

Teammates in pubs
They`ll rage at you and keep telling you to do support stuff. Screw them.

So, we made a game! – Invoker Sunstrike

It’s simple – If you know the board game “Battleships”, you will know how to play. Just head over to www. joindota. Dota 2 sunstrike tutorial excel com/en/challenges/ and get started by either reading the guidelines below or, if you like, just start by trial and error and find out for yourself. It’s not that hard.

How to play the game

After you have found and challenged a user via the search function, the ranking or the history of your games on www. joindota. Dota 2 sunstrike tutorial excel com/en/challenges/, you can place 5 different heroes on the 5×5 square Dota 2 minimap either by drag & drop or by pressing the “Randomize” button. The heroes you have placed will not be visible for your opponent and the task is to eliminate all 5 heroes of your opponent before he eliminates yours.

As soon as you and your opponent have put your heroes in position and hit the “Challenge” button, each player can shoot a limited number of Sunstrikes on any of the 25 fields (unless one is already fired upon) and try to eliminate the five heroes from your opponent.

You must place 5 different heroes on the minimap to be able to start a challenge. You can not place a hero more than once and your opponent has the same ability to place heroes as you do. The individual heroes do not have any functionality per se, but we put all of them into the game so you can pick your favorite lineup.

If you have placed the wrong hero or want to place him on a different field, you can just click onto the hero in the minimap to remove it again and make another choice per drag & drop to put them onto another field. Once the game has started, your lineup is locked in and it is impossible to change the position of your heroes.

The person you challenge will always be the one to shoot first. The amount of shots that can be made are in the following order as you take turns:

2-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-3-2-2

This is order is to make it as fair as possible for both while not dragging out the game like it would if it were only one hit per turn. Note that the last shot can technically not be made and is the lone casualty of us doing the match to balance out the fairness/experience ratio.

After you have taken your turn and are waiting for your opponent, you must refresh the page in order to see if your opponent has made his move. Having a voice chat up with the friends that you play against might be useful in this case to know when they are finished. We chose to not auto-refresh the page to not stress your browser or internet line and wanted you to decide when to refresh it.

Point System

Killing 1 hero: 1 Point
Killing 2 heroes in a row (Double Kill): 4 Points
Killing 3 heroes in a row (Triple Kill): 9 Points
Killing 4 heroes in a row (Ultra Kill): 16 Points
Killing 5 heroes in a row (Rampage): 50 Points
———————————————————–
Winning the round: 15 Bonus Points

Losing a game will still give you points for all the heroes that you have eliminated before your opponent won, so do not give up too early as you could still land an Ultra Kill! If you however decide to hit the “Ragequit” button, you will get 0 points and your opponent will get the points for the heroes he has eliminated plus the 15 points for winning the game.

Winning is key to grab the EIZO FORIS FS2333 Monitor

You can have as many open challenges at the same time as you like. So in order to increase your chance of climbing up the ranking list faster, the golden rule is “The more you play, the more points you will get”. Once you have an open or active challenge, you will be able to see it directly on the top left below the navigation bar on www. joindota. Dota 2 sunstrike tutorial excel com so it’s easier to tell when it’s your time to strike!

( ! ) Using multiple accounts for this game and therefore levelling up either one or more accounts is strongly prohibited and will result in a ban from Invoker Sunstrike and deletion of points of the accounts involved. The system behind Invoker Sunstrike will detect patterns in play behavior to determine if an account is used to boost another, so please do not try to cheat your way up in the ranking list – you will be detected.

Who will win?

The ranking for Invoker Sunstrike will run from July 11th until August 31st, 2013 and within the top 10 ranked players on joinDOTA, we will random out the monitor. Why the top 10? – Because we feel that anyone who made it up that high in the ranking put in a great effort to get there and should have a chance; not just the 1st placed player who could get there just because he spent the highest possible amount of time to play.

Doom/Old Abilities

  • This ability got reworked into the current Devour in the 7.20 gameplay patch.
  • Can target all neutral creeps and summons, except for couriers, ancient creeps and creep-heroes.
    • Can target ancient creeps (excluding couriers and Roshan ) when the talent for it is chosen.
  • The targeted creep is instantly killed, granting its bounty and experience like a regular last hit.
  • Can only gain abilities from neutral creeps. Abilities are gained instantly upon devouring the creep.
    • The abilities use the original cast point of the neutral creeps they come from.
    • However, the cast backswing differs depending on the spell (see chart).
    • Abilities from neutral creeps are kept permanently, even through death, until another neutral creep with abilities is devoured.
    • Devouring a creep with no abilities does not remove the already acquired abilities.
    • When devouring Ancient Black Dragon s, Doom gets Fireball and Splash Attack , but not Dragonhide Aura .
    • When devouring Ancient Thunderhide s, Doom gets Frenzy and War Drums Aura , but not Slam .
  • Places a debuff on Doom, which lasts 1 second per 20 health the creep had upon getting devoured. The debuff is lost upon death.
    • The bonus gold is unreliable and granted when the debuff expires. Losing it upon death does not grant the gold.
    • Doom cannot devour another creep while the debuff is active, even if Devour is off cooldown.
    • The debuff lasts longer than Devour’s cooldown when devouring a creep with more than 1400/1200/1000/800 current health.
  • This ability was replaced by Infernal Blade in the 6.86 gameplay patch.
  • The mini-stun lasts for 0.03 seconds.
  • The 20% bonus damage is also dealt as magical damage.
  • Cannot be cast on non-hero units, except for creep-heroes.
    • Since non-hero units do not have levels like heroes, only the base damage is applied.
  • Bonus damage of 20% of the target’s maximum health is applied on the following hero levels:
    • LVL? Death Level 1: 6/12/18/24/25
    • LVL? Death Level 2: 5/10/15/20/25
    • LVL? Death Level 3: 4/8/12/16/20/24/25
    • LVL? Death Level 4: 3/6/9/12/15/18/21/24/25
  • This ability got reworked into the current Scorched Earth in the 6.66 gameplay patch.
  • The regeneration and speed bonus are provided by separate auras. Their buffs linger for 2-4 seconds.
  • Multiple overlapping instances do not stack.
  • Deals damage in 1 second intervals, starting 1 second after cast, resulting in 20 instances.
  • Can deal up to 20/40/60/80 damage to a unit when it stays within the area for the full duration (before reductions).
  • Can heal up to 22-24/44-48/66-72/88-96 health to Doom and his owned units if they stay within range for the full duration (varying values caused by the buff lingering).
