Dota 2: The 10 Best Heroes of Patch 7.19

Valve has announced that Dota 2’s 7.20 patch will be coming very soon, just as soon as the Kuala Lumpur Major ends. With another patch on the horizon, let’s look back on 7.19 and the heroes that thrived in it.

#1 – Riki

Win rate – 57.77, Pick rate – 22.60, KDA Ratio – 3.2

Riki tops our list as the new king of the pubs mostly thanks to buffs to his Blink Strike ability, letting him slip in and out of combat and harass his opponents effectively. While his innate invisibility gives him the advantage in lower skill brackets, it isn’t invincibility. Riki can still be shut down with true sight, but it’s harder to keep him down thanks to the currently prevailing pace of play extending games for much later. While he may not stand up as well to most other hard carries, Riki can still take out enemy supports almost instantly, which can make all the difference in the late game.

#2 – Spectre

WR – 56.36, PR – 16.11, KDAR – 3.78

Spectre continues her ascendancy over the other hard carries in the game that was in full display back in The International 2018. As proven by the TI8 champions OG, any team with a Spectre on it will win late, no matter how far behind they may be. This is much more evident in pub play, where teams are usually not coordinated enough to close a game out quickly before Spectre comes online in the late game. The only problem, as always, is holding out long enough to get there.

#3 – Centaur Warrunner

WR – 56.17, PR – 7.12, KDAR – 2.9

Centaur Warrunner remains an unorthodox pick for the offlane, as evidenced by him having the second lowest pick rate of the heroes on our list. While it will be hard for him to thrive without a lane partner or the midlaner coming over for a gank or two, Centaur can become very self-sufficient once he gets his core items up. While Blink Dagger is still a crucial pick-up to be the initiator, some players have begun delaying getting it in favor of more survivability items and relying on just outlasting opponents in fights. Though unorthodox, Centaur can be a very potent offlaner if you can make him work in your lineup.

#4 – Zeus

WR – 55.93, PR – 20.76, KDAR – 3.79

No matter how squishy he may be, Zeus’ sheer damage output alone can make him a good core pick. Add to that his increased global presence thanks to his new Nimbus ability granted by Aghanim’s Scepter, and he can be an unlikely pub terror. The additional 0.5 second ministun on his Lightning Bolt from his Level 20 talent provides even more stopping power, but at the cost of foregoing a 15% cooldown reduction. As always Black King Bar will nullify all that he can do, but he can deal more hurt than ever once the magic immunity wears off.

#5 – Wraith King

WR – 55.37, PR – 15.09, KDAR – 3.38

Wraith King’s old reputation as a one-dimensional right click hero belies the surprising (for some) versatility he now possesses. Aside from what we all already know about him, WK’s newish ability to raise spooky, scary skeletons can still catch some players off-guard when confronted one-on-one. A newfound niche at the 3 spot in higher skill level games also highlights his ability to ensure make fights last longer than enemies would intend, thanks to his Agh’s upgrade, does him good too. Even as most can win with him by just right clicking away, he brings more than just that to the table.

#6 – Chaos Knight

WR – 54.84, PR – 7.42, KDAR – 2.72

Unorthodoxy has always come with playing as Chaos Knight, and that touches on more than him having the third-lowest pick rate of our Top 10. While most carries are busy farming creeps, CK relies on a steady diet of hero kills to keep himself afloat. While recent changes to Bounty Rune spawn timings essentially killed a creative roaming CK strategy, it led to players sticking with the tried and true way of playing as him. As always, CK is virtually unstoppable with a damage item, BKB, and a lucky roll on Phantasm. But that won’t always be the case.

#7 – Ursa

WR – 54.59, PR – 13.97, KDAR – 2.88

Ursa will almost always be a good pick with his ability to take Roshan much, much earlier than other heroes. While his strengths are best suited to overpowering opponents in lower skill level games, picking him in higher skill level games is more feasible too since he’s now flexible enough to be played at 3 or 4 spot. Though the favored pace of play goes against him, as his effectiveness goes down the longer a game drags on. Still, he’s a pretty safe hero to have in your lineup at times.

#8 – Vengeful Spirit

WR – 54.50, PR – 9.51, KDAR – 2.33

Vengeful Spirit has always been one of those stalwart heroes that perform well across all skill levels even as patches come and go. One of the big reasons is her versatility, being one of the few heroes that can be played in all five positions without giving up too much of an advantage to the enemy. Another is her great all-around skillset that will always contribute for her team, having someone that can stun enemies, reduce their armor, and force them out of position all while boosting the team’s damage is always a boon.

#9 – Undying

WR – 54.09, PR – 5.86, KDAR – 2.78

Many would have surely been surprised to see Undying here, as he is rarely picked yet often thought of as just a mere annoyance. The thing that most people fail to see is that’s just what he’s supposed to do, Undying annoys you… to death. He can win lanes by spamming Decay, give his team the advantage in teamfights with Tombstone and Flesh Golem, and provide burst heal or damage with Soul Rip. Those abilities won’t do much by themselves, but things get scary once Undying gets them all off. Just imagine this: you’re chasing down a support Undying in a teamfight while being slowed down by Tombstone, then just as you’re about to land the killing blow, he gets a Soul Rip off to survive, then he turns things around by popping Flesh Golem and Decay. You were too busy being annoyed as he slaps you down and spams his taunts to literally dance around your grave.

#10 – Axe

WR – 53.82, PR – 19.99, KDAR – 2.39

Axe’s pick rate rose after TI8, where OG featured him in one of their legendary comebacks on their way to the championship. His winrate naturally rose too, but not as much as people would expect. He’s still very effective in lower skill level games but falls off hard the higher up the matchmaking ladder you go. Most still stick with the old way of playing him by having him initiate fights with Blink Dagger and expecting him to just stand and deliver. But nowadays players have found a more effective way to use him: no longer just the initiator, Axe can also counter-initiate by disrupting enemies from ganging up on his teammates, then weaving and bobbing in and out of the fight. He still absorbs damage for his team while dishing it out to his enemies as always, but it’s better to have him do it in short bursts and in critical moments in a fight.

IceFrog is the lead developer for both Dota 2 and the original Defense of the Ancients. To date, he has remained pseudonymous, and other than revealing that he was 25 years old in early 2009, characteristics such as his physical description and real name are unknown. IceFrog speaks English and Chinese, which he learned in order to better communicate with Dota’s large fanbase in China. Dota 2 funny moments 63 corvette

Various professional players and casters profess to have met IceFrog in person, but public details about these encounters are scarce out of respect for his privacy. Purge remarked that he had met him before, but was unaware he was IceFrog; 2GD mentioned that IceFrog spoke quickly during their meeting. IceFrog is known to solicit balancing suggestions from professional players prior to a patch, though this is usually done over the internet.

According to his former co-developer Neichus, IceFrog had already had formal programming training by the time he became the curator of Defense of the Ancients.

Defense of the Ancients [ edit ]

IceFrog officially began his involvement with Defense of the Ancients in 2005, when he was recruited by Guinsoo–the mod’s lead developer at the time–to assist with programming. Later that year, Guinsoo left the project and passed the lead developer position to Neichus, who continued to develop with IceFrog. Neichus’ departure a short time later left IceFrog as the sole designer for the map. Since then, IceFrog has ushered in an era of competitive play by carefully balancing and renovating the game.

It is rumored that at some point, IceFrog approached Blizzard Entertainment about the possibility of developing DotA as a standalone game, but the company was uninterested and asked him to port the mod to their upcoming StarCraft 2 map editor for free instead.

In 2009, a dispute arose between IceFrog and Pendragon, the maintainer of the de facto community hub DotA-Allstars. com. Pendragon, who had recently been hired by League of Legends developer Riot Games, was charged with using the site to promote his company’s upcoming product, while IceFrog was accused of developing the game Heroes of Newerth with S2 Games. DotA-Allstars. com was taken offline (along with all of its contents), and IceFrog and the rest of the community were forced to relocate to the newly-created PlayDotA. com.

Also in 2009, IceFrog was contacted by Valve, who had become interested in Defense of the Ancients and its future. After receiving a tour of their offices, IceFrog was hired and began work on Dota 2.

Abdul Ismail [ edit ]

A persisting rumor is that IceFrog’s real name is “Abdul Ismail”. In late 2010, an anonymous person posted a defamatory article called “The Truth About IceFrog: Behind the Bullshit”, which has been termed “false” (unofficially) and “fake” by Valve representatives. A common theory is that it is pure libel, written by Pendragon after his falling out with IceFrog. One of IceFrog’s posts on PlayDota, which appeared before this incident, implies that IceFrog had no direct involvement with S2 Games.

However, the name supposedly reappeared in the Dota section of Valve’s project management and bugtracking software, and was included in the Free to Play credits. It is unknown if it belongs to IceFrog or simply another Valve employee.

In 2016, The Pres >[2]

In May 2017, a California court was discussing the ownership of Dota and they mentioned the name of IceFrog (Abdul Ismail), so it was confirmed by the California District court. Additionally, they make reference to Icefrog working with and being employed by S2 Games. [3]

Thread: How do you use text colors in the ingame chat?

How are they setup though? In his text on the copy/paste website there are multiple codes as the poster above my original post stated. How are we to know what order to arrange them in order to get a certain color?

Each color corresponds to a certain control character. You can’t customize which color those character codes result in.

I have a list of all the colors and their corresponding ascii character (not hex value). I will post it up in a few hours when I get home.

Also, I will post up a tutorial on what the keyboard combinations are for all the colors, so that you can type it straight into the game without having to use a HEX editor or copy-paste things

The problem is where are you going to paste those. Ie, Citrix and Chromr can’t see those characters unless you add a pack addon or something. Hex tut works fine. Easy to use

If I pack them into a text file, people should be able to see the invisible characters if they are using a text editor made after the 90’s (anything other than notepad)

Even if they can’t, I will put the invisible characters inside [ and ] characters, so that people can copy-paste the whole block, and then backspace the 2 bracket characters

Sorry for the delay, I forgot to post them up last night

You can download a font that supports ASCII symbols, for example: http://www. apollosoft. de/ASCII/indexen. htm
and load them to your notepad / textmate.

There is currently no mod functionality in Dota2 whatsoever. Your text in game is specifically whatever color you are on your team (If your blue, your text is blue. If your yellow, your text is yellow.) and outside the game its probably accessible via the console and normal chat commands.

Also, please never type “Setinfo name —-” to whatever it says for the —-. That will change your account name to whatever is listed there and your account is gone. Its an old phishing scam, or a joke that looks very similar to an old phishing scam.

This is false. All it does is temporarily change your in-game name. It doesn’t even change the name on your steam account. The part about phising. what? How does changing your IGN result in your account being stolen?

The final word on the great esports capitalization debate

A capital letter is a powerful thing

A capital letter is a powerful thing.

In December 2013, the Daily Dot launched a dedicated esports section. We’re pretty sure we’re the first non-gaming publication to do so, and it was exciting—not the least because fans and gamers reacted with overwhelming positivity. But there was one major problem. Lingering in the middle of the word itself was an oversized “S.” In headlines, regular copy, and even the top of our section, the word looked like the discarded offspring of an Apple product and late-’90s techno-jargon.

And readers hated it.

Why did we cap that pesky “S”? Simple: When we googled the term, that’s what came up. From Wikipedia to the New York Times, the name was consistent: “eSports.”

“Esports” is not a proper noun. It is not a unique person, place, or institution; it is, broadly, a phenomenon, a catch-all term for the world of competitive gaming. Or, to put it in the simplest terms, “esports” is a common noun. And as any first-grade English student will tell you, common nouns don’t get the big-letter treatment.

We don’t capitalize “sports” for the same reasons, and we certainly don’t insert capital letters into a word just because it looks more appealing that way. A copyeditor stumbling across “eMail,” for instance, would quit on the spot.

So how did this typographical oddity come to propagate across our website and a substantial portion of the Web?

Professional publishers of words always follow a generally accepted style for how those words should appear on a page, and they’ve been doing it for generations. The Chicago Manual of Style, first published in 1906, continues to set a standard across the publishing industry. The Modern Language Association guide, which appeared in 1986, lives on English classroom bookshelves across the country.

Much like a dictionary and spelling, style guides are important simply because they set a standard. They’re a force of consistency. So, for instance, “website” will never appear on the Daily Dot as “Website” or “Web site.” The Internet will never appear as “internet.” The state of Alabama will always be abbreviated Ala. Dota 2 name big letters in fashion , not AL.

The Daily Dot generally adheres to the Associated Press Stylebook, a reference work updated annually by the wire service. It’s followed religiously by newspapers throughout the industry. But the AP Stylebook is not perfect, and where it lacks we have to modify it to fill in the hole. We like serial commas, for example. AP doesn’t.

The Associated Press Stylebook 2009: Where’s esports?

No style guide tells us how to format esports.

We don’t need a standard format. Newspapers have written about esports before. So how did they write it out? In the pages of respected journalism institutions, including the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and Fortune, esports was always written as eSports. That seemed to be a standard, and that’s what we went with.

And the knee-jerk reaction was instantaneous.

“Can you guys do me a favor and not capitalize esports?” one person wrote in a Reddit discussion about our launch. “I’m finally starting to come to terms with the name, but I think you’ll agree that you won’t be reading your eMail anytime soon.”

“The medial capital in esports needs to be eradicated,” another wrote in an email. “‘Esports’ isn’t a brand name, it’s a common noun, and I don’t understand how writers and editors alike don’t shudder at seeing ‘ESports’ when capitalized at the top of a sentence.

Please join with other publications in not perpetuating this crime against the language!

There’s something more going on here, too, which the outraged commenters didn’t touch on. Esports suffers from a legitimacy problem. Whenever our articles about the industry are shared outside the gaming community—and sometimes even within the gaming community—discussions frequently derail. Commenters focus not on the content of the articles, but rather the very nature of esports. Are players “athletes” or not? Is esports even worth mainstream coverage? One Reddit commenter suggested our esports section invalidated our site’s journalistic legitimacy.

That’s why esports deserves a standard style. It deserves better than some typographical distinction. A newspaper’s style ought to be descriptive of how readers (and the whole Internet) are communicating. They shouldn’t be prescriptive—hard and fast rules that contradict the way we usually type and communicate.

So, esports and newspaper style fans, we hear you. We feel your typographic anguish. And you are all correct. From now on, “eSports” will always be “esports” on the Daily Dot.

Now let’s start talking about the actual stories, for chrissake.

It’s going to happen. It’s really going to happen. We were denied the possibility of Evil Geniuses vs. Team Secret at The International, but we are getting a treat in Frankfurt. On Wednesday both teams played amazing Dota and will meet on Friday. This major has been everything we hoped for and here’s how it happened.

OG defeats Mineski (2-0)

It’s time to really start paying attention to OG. The European team was formed less than a moth ago, but already show a preternatural level of teamwork we haven’t seen from a team in a long time. Sure, there are plenty of teams that work well together, but OG are on another level. Formed as (monkey) Business after The International, OG has ascended to being a team to watch.

There’s a reason I’m spending more time talking about their background: This series was over before you blinked. OG ended both games in the time it takes to watch an episode of a TV show, finishing in 28 and 30 minutes, respectively. Stellar play from the 1 and 2 positions proved to be the difference, and the quick-farming European team dominated.

They still need to fight through the lower bracket, but no team is playing a more complete game than OG. Watch out.

Virtus. pro defeats Alliance (2-0)

Alliance has been marred with inconsistency and strange team compositions for much of the year and it finally began to look like they turned the corner. On Wednesday they had unquestionably the toughest game of the lower bracket thus far, facing off against Russia’s Virtus. pro, who took Vici Gaming to the limit in a brutal three-game series in the upper bracket on Tuesday.

Game 1 saw Alliance return to its comfort zone in its draft. S4 played his familiar Brewmaster, while Loda played an excellent game on Gyrocopter. Two things caused these factors to be for naught. Firstly, Virtus. pro perfectly counter-picked Alliance’s single-target damage lineup by pairing Razor with Spirit Breaker, and secondly Dark Seer was played to perfection by DKPhobos, whose wall play was executed flawlessly and resulted in a win.

Alliance needed to get back on track in Game 2, but it never happened. They showed a Lich pick too early, which was countered immediately with a Broodmother. It felt like Alliance was on tilt, switching Loda to Slardar in an attempt to get some single-target lockdown, with Nuts playing Queen of Pain, instead of S4. The game felt weird in general. Alliance was never comfortable and didn’t have the wave clear to get rid of the spiderlings. The hard-carry combo of Shadow Fiend and Drow Ranger ran wild, and it was an easy victory for VP.

Evil Geniuses defeats CDEC Gaming (2-0)

It’s terrifying how good EG are playing right now. There were questions entering Frankfurt whether their mindset was in the right place after losing to Team Secret at MLG New York, but they have really turned it on again.

Their series against CDEC was a treat to watch. Well, a treat if you’re an Evil Geniuses fan. Game 1 saw EG play to perfection. SumaiL took Timbersaw and showed his astounding versatility in the 2 position. It was an unconventional lineup from EG that saw Arteezy play Tiny as both a hard carry and initiator. They won the lanes, took the team fights and blitzed CDEC (which we should note is still one of the best teams in the world).

There was a shock Lifestealer pick in Game 2 from CDEC, which seemed like a really nice selection — but there just wasn’t the support around it. This game was much closer than the first, but eventually the late-game hard carry of Arteezy on Shadow Fiend and SumaiL on Doom were simply too much. It was an aggressive, violent game that saw EG over-extend at times, but ultimately prevail.

Team Secret defeats Vici Gaming (2-1)

This was a really fascinating series to watch. Team Secret and Vici Gaming are both teams looking to earn a little more credit than they tend to get. Since TI:5 there’s been this sense that Evil Geniuses and CDEC Gaming are firmly locked as the No.1 and No. 2 teams in Dota, but Secret has been making a strong (and flashy) claim that they belong in the same breath. Quietly Vici was staking a claim of its own, largely ignored in the West.

Team Secret showed a rather greedy lineup in Game 1. They selected Spectre to be their hard carry, supported by Windranger in the 2 position and a support combo of Nightstalker and Ancient Apparation. It was a strong team-fight oriented lineup rounded out with a Dark Seer. Vici went a little more off-book. Super took his all-too-familiar Ember Spirit, but a Tiderhunter and Juggernaut added to the fray. Both teams were built to team fight and the game felt like a firecracker waiting to pop.

Vici’s lineup was built for the mid-game, but they couldn’t get enough objectives. Settling for blowing ults and abilities on supports was hugely problematic. For a while it felt like Secret would drop the hammer, get enough farm on Spectre and run away with the game — but that didn’t happen. Puppey had a problematic game on AA and Secret’s team fight began to break down. Ultimately Vici got on top and slowly surged to victory.

Game 2 was an absolute mess in the best possible way. Team Secret brought the noise to Frankfurt with a Meepo AND Huskar pick that had the crowd screaming. The unpredictability to the lineup paired with a Tiny put Vici Gaming on tilt. It was the polar opposite of the one-hour slugfest we saw in Game 1 and Secret ended in 29 minutes thanks to the Meepo that Vici had no way to deal with.

Team Secret blended some of their old strats with new techniques in Game 3, surprising with a Invoker pick. The real shocker came with Vici’s last pick, which was a Lycan for Super. One team wanted to finish quickly, the other wanted to drag it late. Invoker went quas/ wex, which was to be expected and served as the perfect counter to Spirit Breaker and Slardar, both of whom were picked by Vici.

This was all Secret. They put their foot down and had a non-stop ganking combo of Ember Spirit and Invoker. There was simply nothing they could do. Vici were on the back foot all game and couldn’t get any breathing room. Secret cruised to the win, and now we’ll get to see Secret play EG.

What’s on the cards for Thursday?

This is the day we’ll see the lower bracket solidified and it will be a nice respite before the huge day on Friday.

Who Won the First Open Qualifiers for Dota 2’s TI9?

The first Open Qualifiers for The International 2019 are complete, with one more set to go. (Image via @wykrhm / Twitter)

All six regions in Dota 2 have been locked in two days of Open Qualifiers for The International 2019. The first Open Qualifiers are now behind us, giving us more teams who will compete in the Regional Qualifiers.

China

In China, two familiar organizations made it through the Open Qualifier. Invictus Gaming beat Team Serenity 2-0 to take the first spot. CDEC Gaming beat Royal 2-0 to take the second spot. CDEC was a prominent org internationally in 2015-early 2016, but they’ve struggled in recent years to make a splash at a global LAN. Invictus Gaming finished in last place at The International 2018, and has gone through a complete roster change since then.

Notable teams to watch for in the next round of Open Qualifiers include Newbee and Team Serenity.

Southeast Asia

The SEA region had three qualifying teams out of the first Open Qualifier. Team Jinesbrus, a stack featuring three Koreans (Lee “Forev” Sang-don, Kim “Febby” Yong-min, Park “March” Tae-won), Nico “Gunnar” Lopez, and a Thai player with the tag “23savage,” took the first spot. Also qualifying is Team Adroit, a Filipino stack with a few familiar faces in Marvin “Boombacs” Rushton and Jun “Bokerino” Kanehara. Epic dota 2 moves for flat The third team, EVOS Esports had to play an extra series versus Resurgence to determine the third-place team.

Notable teams to watch for in the next round of Open Qualifiers include Execration, Neon Esports and Geek Fam.

There was only one spot up for grabs in the CIS Open Qualifier and that went to FlyToMoon. The team is stacked with familiar players including some late roster changes. They are veterans of the Open Qualifier format, having taken first place in Open Qualifiers for the last two Dota 2 Pro Circuit Majors. The real question is whether they can parlay that expertise into the Regional Qualifier.

Notable teams to watch for in the next round of Open Qualifiers include The Pango (Danil “Dendi” Ishutin!), KBU, Unique and Vega Squadron.

Europe

Three Open Qualifier spots were up for grabs in Europe’s first run. Epic Name, which includes Jonas “jonassomfan” Lindholm, Axel “Pablo” Källman and Petu “Peksu” Vaatainen, took one of the top spots. Another stack of pro players, Anti-MagE-, took the second spot with names such as Aybek “Naive-” Tokaev, Anas “MagE-” Hirzallah, Victor “GeneRaL” Nigrini, Dino “dnz” Šavuk and fan-favorite Troels Lyngholt “syndereN” Nielsen.

The third spot came down to a stack calling themselves Evil Corporation and Hippomaniacs, an all-Czech team. Hippomaniacs took it in a 2-1 finish.

Notable teams to watch for in the next round of Open Qualifiers include Ad Finem, Team Singularity and TeamEquilibrium.

North America

In North America, two spots were available in the first Open Qualifiers. One went to Kookaburra, a roster with Ravindu “Ritsu” Kodippili, Jonathan “bryle” Santos De Guia, David “MoonMeander” Tan, Danylo “Kingrd” Nascimento and Kartik “Kitrak” Rathi. It’s an intriguing mix of pro players who have done the gauntlet of swapping from team to team to try to find the right combination. The second spot went to the lone Mexican roster, Team Xolotl. They’ve competed in several Regional Qualifiers in the past year, often coming close but not hitting the mark to qualify for the bigger Dota 2 tournament. This is, obviously, the ideal time for them to peak and breakthrough.

South America

SG e-sports, an all-Brazilian team, qualified with a 2-1 over S-Class, a mostly-Peruvian roster. SG brought in a new player for the Open Qualifier, Emilano “C4t” Ito. So far, that decision seems to be paying off. The second slot in South American went to FURIA Esports, another all-Brazilian roster. They won over EgoBoys, 2-0. FURIA is an org better known for its CS:GO squad, so it’s exciting to see them making moves in Dota 2.

What’s Next?

We’re immediately launching into the second set of Open Qualifiers. They run July 5-6, and will be followed by the Regional Qualifiers starting July 7. Good luck to those teams competing again! You can find information on how to follow along in “Open Qualifiers for The International 2019: Basics.”

We know that queue times have increased across the board recently, and the most significant factor contributing to this has been the stricter requirements that Ranked Roles imposes on the formation of matches. Prior to the introduction of Ranked Roles, the matchmaker had a wider pool of people to draw upon because of the few restrictions. In the past, when one or more players desired the same role, this conflict was resolved during the game itself, often with unpleasant results. This conflict is now resolved at queue time, but a price of this is that the matchmaker is often starved for players in the least-queued roles. The matchmaker must wait for players in the desired roles to enter the queue, or form sub-optimal matches with the players currently in queue to satisfy all role requirements. Usually the role most in demand by the matchmaker is Hard Support, but this is not always the case, and historically this has varied based on time of day, skill bracket, region, etc.

To address role imbalance more generally, today’s update introduces Fast Queue for Ranked matchmaking. Players in the Fast Queue are given priority by the matchmaker, and will find matches much more quickly. In order to earn games for Fast Queue, you must elect to play with all roles selected. Playing with all roles selected will also automatically place you in Fast Queue for free.

When playing solo with all roles selected, you will earn four more games for future use in the Fast Queue. When grouped as a party, players can also earn Fast Queue games if the party fulfills all roles between its players. Two-player parties earn 2 games each, three-player parties earn 1 game each. You can earn and store up to 60 Fast Queue games.

For example, if you are in a party of two where one player marks the three Core roles and the other marks the two Support roles, they will enter the Fast Queue for free, and will each be awarded two additional Fast Queue games. Parties of 5 will always enter the Fast Queue for free, but do not earn Fast Queue games. We’ve added new UI to make it easy to see to understand when you or your party is eligible for Fast Queue.

Our data clearly showed that players choosing roles without any additional constraints simply doesn’t result in enough role diversity for the matchmaking population to be healthy, negatively affecting both queue times and match quality. The motivation of the Fast Queue is to solve the “roll for mid” problem in a structured way that prevents in-game conflicts, while also providing enough role diversity to enable reasonable queue times.

Going forward, our immediate focus will be validating that Fast Queue is doing enough to improve health of the matchmaking pool, and tweaking as necessary. We’ll also be rolling out a small incremental update to the behavior and report system in the coming weeks. As always, please continue to give us feedback. We appreciate your patience thus far as we iterate on matchmaking.

Clockwerk’s Talents

Clockwerk’s Lore

Rattletrap descends from the same far-flung kindred as Sniper and Tinker, and like many of the Keen Folk, has offset his diminutive stature through the application of gadgetry and wit. The son of the son of a clockmaker, Rattletrap was many years apprenticed to that trade before war rode down from the mountains and swept the plains villages free of such innocent vocations. “Your new trade is battle,” his dying father told him as the village of their ancestors lay in charred and smoking ruins.

It is a poor tradesman who blames his tools, and Rattletrap was never one to make excuses. After burying his father among the ruins of their village, he set about to transform himself into the greatest tool of warfare that any world had ever seen. He vowed to never again be caught unprepared, instead using his talents to assemble a suit of powered Clockwerk armor to make the knights of other lands look like tin cans by comparison. Now Rattletrap is alive with devices—a small but deadly warrior whose skills at ambush and destruction have risen to near-automated levels of efficiency. An artisan of death, his mechanizations make short work of the unwary, heralding a new dawn in this age of warfare. What time is it? It’s Clockwerk time!

i’m sorry guys, but your GUIDES for CLOCKWERK really sucks, they are TRASH play attention of that:

[BEGGINING]what’s the point of clockwerk, you need mana, first get PHASEBOOTS

skill max first power, 1 lvl CAGE, and at lvl 6 start to max the rocket, then skill hook at lvl 8(you don’t have many mana)

[MIN20] try to farm as fast you can EUL, if you have many enemies nukers get HOOD OF DEFIANCE

[min30] get aghanim as fast you can
So what’s the point, you will always have mana to jump, every 10 sec, you’ll just run in them and onw all if you got support from team. Eul will help you to escape too
