Coaches and students have private voice and text communication channels.
Coaches can hit their ‘Hero Select’ key to cycle through their students.
Coaches see spectator-style item purchase popups for their students.
In-perspective player view now shows the correct state of more HUD elements (Shop Quickbuy, KDA/Last Hits/Denies, Buyback). These improvements apply the the in-perspective view in live games and replays, as well as coaches.
Economy
Steam Community Market
This update may greatly disrupt market prices. In order to prevent items being purchased at pre-update prices for arbitrage, we are removing all item listings and returning them to their owners. While this removal process is taking place, new items will not be able to be listed on the Steam Community Market.
You can now list an item on the market from the armory (right click: sell on the market).
Armory item tooltips now contain the current lowest trading price for an item of the same class as the one highlighted. (Class is a somewhat flexible concept at the moment, so unusual courier prices will be less accurate than a specific wearable piece of equipment.)
Crafting
Crafting recipes now have a chance of dropping as a bonus item. These drops do not take up your normal drops, but are in addition to them.
Western Dota 2 teams turn the table on Chinese dominance at WEC
The biggest tournament in esports history was dominated by Chinese teams, and a lot of people naturally feared that might become a trend
The biggest tournament in esports history was dominated by Chinese teams, and a lot of people naturally feared that might become a trend.
But the fear of Chinese prominence in Dota 2 came crashing to an end in the game’s first major international tournament since The International 4. Two Chinese teams played in the final of that tournament on American soil in July. Two Western teams, one based in American and one in Europe, battled in the final of the World E-Sports Championships in China this weekend.
Evil Geniuses took the WEC title and nearly $100,000 in prize money, surviving a lengthy run in the lower bracket to beat Cloud9 in the final.
The result is a welcome salve to a scene suffering at least a little worry that the growing Chinese presence in Dota 2 may grow into an unstoppable behemoth similar to Korean dominance in League of Legends and StarCraft 2. Five of the top eight teams at The International were from China. Wec dota 2 cup
But at WEC, the Western teams showed that would not become a trend. Cloud9, who placed top six at TI4, swept through the upper bracket, beating LGD Gaming, Natus Vincere, and International finalists Vici Gaming to reach the final.
Evil Geniuses had an even tougher road. After losing to Vici Gaming in the opening round, the team that eliminated them at The International, they had to win six straight best-of-three series to take WEC. They beat two International champions in a row, Natus Vincere and Newbee, before facing off against Vici Gaming and taking their revenge. Then, in the finals, Evil Geniuses won two straight best-of-threes against Cloud9, using superior drafts in a match showcasing a wide variety of styles to power to a surprisingly dominant victory.
It was an amazing run for the team, showcasing what they are capable of with their full lineup.
The Evil Geniuses team placed third at The International, but was without veteran star player Clinton “Fear” Loomis, who was sidelined due to a wrist injury. His return and their subsequent victory leaves fans wondering what might have been had Loomis been able to play in Seattle last month.
Loomis’ first major live tournament back in the lineup was certainly succesful. He posted a 5.14 KDA, tops on the team, backed by a 497 GPM and 480 XPPM.
WEC featured five Chinese teams and three teams invited from the Western scene, all fighting for a $167,000 prize pool at the Yellow Dragon Stadium in Hangzhou. Five Chinese teams, including TI4 finalists Newbee and Vici Gaming, joined three Western teams—Evil Geniuses, Cloud9, and Natus Vincere—invited to the event. Evil Geniuses and Cloud9 outpacing the TI4 finalists was certainly an impressive result.
That said, both Newbee and Vici Gaming fielded rosters weakened by post-TI retirements. The captains of both teams, Bai “rOtk” Fan for Vici and Zhang “Xiao8” Ning for Newbee, retired after raking in huge prize purses in Seattle.
“I really don’t like how Xiao8 retired,” Cloud9 player Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao said in an interview with Team Liquid at the start of the event. “Like when you’re the best I think you play a little bit more, like go for a second [International]. You want to look forward to playing against Newbee. Like if we beat Newbee in this tournament, people are going to blame [Xiao9’s replacement Zhang “Rabbit” Wang] or something. It’s not going to be as fun.”
Cloud9 did not face Newbee, but they beat Vici Gaming, a team in a similar situation. Evil Geniuses beat both Newbee and Vici Gaming. While that win may not have been as fun as it could have for Mao, it certainly was for fans of the team—and fans of international Dota competition.
While we will never know what would have happened if the the International versions of the two Chinese squads showed up in China, or if Evil Geniuses had a full strength Loomis in Seattle, the results of WEC at least prove one thing. Fans of Dota have nothing to fear. International competition isn’t dying. Far from it. The next International is anyone’s game.
Dota 2 patch 6.86 released, first pro games happening right now
Update 16th December, 2015: The patch is now live to download through Steam, after a day of bugfixing and other bits and bobs on the test server. I sure hope they fixed everything. Wouldn’t be like Valve to release content that hadn’t been tested properly now, would it?
Now would be a good time to play some nice Dota 2 custom games and forget your troubles.
If you’re interested in watching some pro games, esteemed PCGamesN contributor Chris Higgins points me at this arhiveof Virtus Pro vs. Team STARK, part of the MarsTV Dota 2 League, which was the first Dota game of 6.86 played. Mid-series, even. What a fun trainwreck it was.
Meanwhile the World Cyber Arena has started, a much-maligned but nevertheless massively-prize-pooled Chinese tournaments with some of the best teams in the world, including Secret and all the major Chinese teams. The streams are split across BeyondTheSummitand the pair of JoinDota streams, Red and Blue. It’s running until Monday, and will be the final tournament of the year as well as the first tournament on 6.86.
Update 15th December, 2015: The full patch notes are now available for The Balance of Power, as the patch is officially known. It adds a hero, Arc Warden, four new items, redesigns Riki, Doom, Death Prophet, Faceless Void, Lone Druid and Winter Wyrvern. Perhaps most terrifying of all, Earth Spirit (along with Oracle and Terrorblade) has been added to Captain’s Mode.
You can read the full patch notes on the official site. Here’s the highlights:
Added Arcane Rune, reduces cooldowns and mana costs.
Added a new neutral hard camp for each team, near their respective Secret Shops.
Iron Branch can now be used by targeting the ground, planting a happy little tree.
The usual billion and a half hero and item changes.
Original article:Dota 2’s next massive patch is just around the corner, but patch notes for 6.86 haven’t yet appeared. Instead there’s a teaser site, memes and anger. Just what the doctor ordered.
The teaser site has a nice big image of a team containing current-patch all star Doom and lesser friends Lone Druid (bear not pictured), Faceless Void, Rikimaru and Death Prophet. All the community’s digging and theorising and possibility considering has resulted in nothing of any possible worth being gleaned from that, but gosh have they tried:
Meanwhile the thread on Reddit linking to it so far has 5000+ upvotes in a little over an hour, which is impressive work for something that is, as the flair says, “literally nothing.”
We’ll keep this post updated with whatever comes to pass. In the mean time, here’s proof that the Dota 2 Test Client has been changed today, another sign the patch should be coming soon, were one needed. For now, the waiting game continues.

Stacks additively with other sources of mana loss reduction.
Abilities [ edit ]
Interrupts the caster’s channeling spells upon cast.
Checks the caster’s mana once upon cast, and grants health regen accordingly.
This means the health regen value does not update after cast, and stays the same throughout the entire duration.
Recasting Bloodpact refreshes the duration, without updating the rate of health regeneration.
Heals in the form of health regeneration, so it restores 1.5% of max mana as health in 0.1 second intervals.
When having multiple Bloodstones, the one in the higher inventory slot gains charges.
The top left inventory slot has the highest priority, the bottom right one the lowest.
The effects of Bloodstone charges from all Bloodstones a hero owns fully stack.
Gains a charge whenever an enemy hero dies (including Reincarnation) within the radius, or whenever the owner makes a kill from any distance.
When multiple heroes in a team have Bloodstones, each hero can gain a charge from the same enemy death.
Each charge can regenerate up to 12 health and mana in one minute.
The Bloodstone loses 3 charges upon dying. Cannot go below 0 charges.
Charges are not lost when the carrier dies with Reincarnation.
Recommended heroes [ edit ]
Bloodstone is a niche item, generally only purchased by heroes who require intense mana regeneration, and prefer the bonus raw HP and mana instead of another item with a different active ability and weaker, but comparable regeneration bonuses.
Storm Spirit ‘s ultimate drains mana at a fixed rate based on a percentage of his total mana pool, and every spell he casts gives one attack an AoE splash, making a source of constant mana regeneration key in allowing him to farm and fight constantly.
Leshrac has a powerful AoE ultimate, able to deal out constant magical damage around him, with his only limitation being his mana and his relative fragility.
Timbersaw requires Bloodstone in order to fuel his Chakrams, as they are his only source of a disable in the form of a small slowing aura which can cost up to 30 mana a second to run. Additionally, bloodstone ensures that he will always have mana to cast Timberchain to escape unfavorable fights, and the extra HP synergizes well with the large amount of armor his passive ability prov >Tinker will often purchase Bloodstone in order to support his ability to Rearm his spells and items, as he can quickly run out of mana simply by casting his spells, rearming, and repeating.
Techies and Zeus both have very similar reasons to purchase Bloodstone. They both can easily gain kills (and thus Bloodstone charges) from very far away, a large source of mana regen allows them to use their mana-expensive spells to farm.
Lina gains bonus movement speed and attack speed from casting her spells, making a strong source of regeneration key for farming the jungle efficiently.

Biography [ edit ]
Born in Lviv, Ukraine, Dendi got an early start with competitive gaming in net cafes when his elder brother married, moved out and took the family’s PC with him. Dabbling with Counter-Strike first, he soon found Warcraft 3 where he played in local tournaments and built a love for the competition and a thirst to be the best. Though he was quite successful in Warcraft 3 and even won a few local championships in Lviv, he knew he had found his calling when he stumbled upon DotA. He picked up the game quickly and played it almost exclusively over the next few months.
Beginning with learning only supports, he practiced heavily and was quickly vouched to the IHCS1 league and soon created his own team for tournaments in Lviv. After he led his team to a championship in Kiev, he was drafted by a team called “Wolker. Gaming” and began his professional career at 17.
DotA [ edit ]
Dendi started playing professionally with WG in 2006. [1] He was a part of the Ukrainian squad that finished third in MYM Prime Nations the same year. Only a few months later WG made it to the grand final of one of the most prestigious tournaments at the time; MYM Prime Defending. [2] When Kingsurf. international merged with WG the next year he became a full-time member of Ks. int. [1] In late 2008 he joined DTS, only to return to Ks. int in March 2009. [3] Three months later though, Dendi returned to DTS. [4] The team would end up finishing 2nd at ESWC 2010. At the end of 2010, Dendi and DTS finished 3rd at the prestigious WDC 2010. [5] Dendi joined Natus Vincere at the end of 2010. [6]
Dota 2 [ edit ]
Dendi started his Dota 2 career with Na’Vi, who quickly established themselves as one of the best teams in the world by winning The International 2011. Na’Vi continued to dominate and won many tournaments in the years 2011, 2012 and 2013. Dendi was the center of Na’Vi’s consistent stable and skilled rosters, with his performance greatly contributing to their success.
The Natus Vincere Dota 2 team achieved significant success with Dendi as their midlaner during the first few years of the game; they finished as the runners-up for both The International 2012 and The International 2013, losing out to Invictus Gaming and Alliance, respectively. 2013 would mark the last year of Na’Vi and Dendi’s dominance in the Dota 2 scene, as they only recorded two LAN victories since January 2014. The International 2014 saw Na’Vi and Dendi finishing the tournament outside of the top 2 for the first time and the following two Internationals, TI 5 and TI 6, they would finish in last place. The results would deteriorate further, as they would fail to even qualify for The International 2017, they failed to advance out of the group stage of the regional qualifiers. This marked the first year of The International tournaments without Dendi attending as a player. The 2017/18 season started of promising for Dendi and Na’Vi, who dominated the CIS scene in the early months, crowning their improving results with their second LAN victory since 2014. However, the second half of the season saw the roster break apart and finally the team would fail to even reach the regional qualifiers for The International 2018, after losing in the open qualifier.
Four years of roster instability and poor results finally took their toll on the reputation of the Na’Vi organization and on Dendi’s status as a legendary player and a top tier midlaner. After 8 years playing mid on Na’Vi, Dendi was finally removed from the active roster in September 2018. However, Dendi vowed to continue playing professionally. After a brief stint on Tigers, Dendi joined The Pango.
So you got your model, you uploaded it to the Workshop…now what? Ideally, you should make some advertising material to get the word out, and get dem upvotes. If you got 3DS max or Maya, it is pretty straightforward. If you got Blender, however… For many of us who do not have the budgets or commitment for 3D modeling software, Blender offers a great entry into the world of 3D for little to no risk. It is extremely fast, stable, and its interface has come lightyears (. ) from where it used to be, even surpassing some of the bigger names in certain areas. However, doing certain things is still very painful. One of those things at times: complex rendering. Fortunately, the good folks at the blender foundation had the foresight to see this coming, and made most of blender scriptable and repeatable.
On the flip side, Dota 2 models have a lot that go into them. They can be made of many parts, have different textures for each part, and have multiple separate textures defining effects. This is where the Cycles Dota2 Shader Approximation Node enters the scene.
…Blender Blender is a free (as in beer and freedom) 3D production suite. It can be downloaded here: http://www. blender. org
…Cycles Cycles is an “unbiased” render, and officially the core renderer, of Blender 2.5+ (current version is 2.68 at time of writing). Unbiased means that the renderer is actually simulating light, by tracing lines between surfaces and light sources (referred to as ray-tracing). This is good and bad. It is good because you get ultra-realistic, detailed and complicated renders. It is bad because Dota2 natively is neither.
…GIMP The GIMP 2 is a free (in both ways) image editor suite. It will be used for certain aspects of the texture. It can be downloaded here: http://www. gimp. org/
The first order of business is to download the node. It can be downloaded here: http://www. blendswap. com/blends/view/69403#comment-42945
You will have to login to download, but the account is free.
The next order of business is to open your model. If you don’t have one, use one of the characters from the workshop page here: http://www. dota2.com/workshop/requirements
. You will need to import the models with the blender smd importer from here:
Once the models are ready, we need to add the material node to blender’s repertoire. Go to File at the top left, then click Append.
Find the blend file you downloaded, and click it. You will be presented with a folder view. Choose “NodeTree”, then “DOTA2-Shader-Appro”. Click Link/Append from Library. To make sure that it was included correctly, go to the Nodes window, make sure that material is selected (the globe in the set of icons that includes a red checker and photos), and click add. Hovering your mouse above “Group” should reveal a node called DOTA2-Shader-Approx.
The node is now ready to be added to a material.
The first thing you need to do is make sure the model you are applying the shader to is selected. Then, open up the node browser and turn on materials mode (the globe next to the checkerboard). Actually click on the button referenced to on the picture above. This should show up:
This node does a lot of things to get models to look more valve-y. While a true Dota 2 shader is not yet possible with Cycles, we can fake it pretty well with this node and some tricks. Using weaver as an example, he normally looks like this, with a straight diffuse-normal setup.
Notice the lack of shadow detail on the ridges.
But the node I’m providing does a lot of stuff, including the glowing eyes, brighter lighting, gloss color mixing, and more interesting shadows.
It’s just a matter of providing the correct information in the form of textures. Before you do anything, click add->output->material output on the nodes window, and hook up the shader approximator node up to it. Then click add->input->Texture Coordinates. You will need this in a moment. From here on out, it is a fairly rote process. Click add->Texture->image Texture for each texture that is required. Then click the folder and find the needed image. Hook up this node to the input described. There is one special case that needs to be handled however, but we will get to that in a moment.
connect input marked “Normal map” (yellow) to the image texture using the normal map (suffix _normal).
connect input marked “Texture” to the image texture node using the color map (suffix _color)
connect input marked “Mask2” to the node that has the image texture with mask 2 (suffix _masks1)
connect input marked “mask1” to the node that has the image texture with mask1 (suffix _masks2).
connect ALL image texture nodes’ vector input to the output marked UV on the Texture coordinate node
The camera ViewAngl input currently does nothing.
If your model has any glowing or lightmap components, it will need to be extracted from mask1.
For light maps, this is where GIMP enters the picture.
For weaver, it is only his glowing eyes, so I open up “weaver_masks1.tga” on GIMP. Go to “color->componants->Decompose”. On the pop up window, ensure the color mode is “RGBA”.
Ensure that only the alpha layer is visible, then press Ctrl+e to export the image as whatever you like. Add the image Texture like you did the others, and hook it up to the illum-Mask input. Remember the UV input for the texture. It should look similar to this when done:
At this point, repeat for all parts and items for the hero, and you are done with the material part.
Lighting makes a scene, so I will not give specific steps here. Here are some things to keep in mind.
As mentioned before, Valve uses something called Half-Lambert as a shader. This means models are lit brighter than their real world counterparts.
Since Blender does not give access to this physical ruleset, we have to fake it a little. I went about lighting weaver with a few planes with emit shaders on them for ambience, then I put some point lights fairly close to him. Point-lights are useful in this regard, as they do not render as a physical object, and can be put wherever needed. Just don’t get them too close, or your model will appear glossy.
The gloss on his right antennae is what I’m warning against. Otherwise good
A light box as shown here will increase render complexity and render time. You may want to consider compositing in backgrounds to save time.
If you plan on doing animations, parent the point lights to the armature.
The light source coming from the light mask should not go above 20 units. Remember, the way this renderer works, the model is actually emitting light. Going too high will add to the complexity of the scene and increase render time, not to mention look bad.
Before you start taking stock in your renders, go to the scene pane on the right and set units to “meters”.
Now, press space bar and type “add cube”. The cube that is spit out is 1x1x1 meters. Your character should not exceed the dimensions of a 2x2x2 version of this cube. Scale up or down as needed. The renderer does care.
While Progressive rendering does work alright, turning it off and tweaking the aspects of the render process may increase the quality/decrease render time. These settings worked for me and weaver here, but YMMV . Tweak as needed.
As with anything cycles, more samples means better quality, but be aware of the point of diminishing returns.

Dirge revels in teaming up with heavy hitters and crowd controllers, as just his presence makes the enemy shiver in agony as nukers become the most imba thing next to your maxed blood stone.

ROLE and POSITION
Like it or not, Undying is a CASTER . He is neither a source of DPS , nor is he a TANK , which means that Ring of Health should not be turned into a Battlefury. In public matchmaking it will be pretty common to see people playing him with alternative builds, and obviously there is a chance of being successful, but these builds do not truly accent his kit to it’s potential. There is no need to restrict your abilities exclusively to you, the strength of Undying is in team situations. If you’re expecting to go on a rampage then look elsewhere. Undying is not a hero that is meant to CARRY or even SEMI-CARRY ; your main purpose is to make sure you win by aggroing team fights and pushing, not achieve an epic kill to death ratio.
Assuming you bought your starting equipment as suggested and are wondering what to do now, you might want to cons >DUO or TRI lane. You should not SOLO a lane for the sole purpose of your role.
BOTTLE and RUNES
Illusion : DO NOT PICK UP , unless there is no one nearby with a bottle.
Double Damage : Do not pick this up EARLY or LATE game, this is a great pick up for you in the MID game.
Invisibility : This is your rune, PICK IT UP , and use it to successfully nuke the opposition.
Regeneration : SITUATIONAL , for the most part you will pick this up if no one needs it anymore than you do.
Haste : Exceptional PICK UP on Dirge, allows for your R to create max performance and an easy in-out.
EARLY GAME
Lvl 1: Occasionally cast Q , making sure to land it on as many heroes as there are in the lane.
Lvl 2: Try to save casting for your next level, using your W if needed.
Lvl 3: Cast your W frequently, making sure there are at least 10 creeps nearby.
Lvl 4: Do not cast your E , as the mana cost and cool-down are not worth it at the time.
Lvl 5: Continue casting W , and occasionally Q , using your E only in defense.
Lvl 6: Use your R in conjunction with your E to successfully nuke any opposition.
Lvl 1: Cast W only to heal or secure first blood.
Lvl 2: Only use you E if someone is ganking your lane, friendly or enemy.
Lvl 3: Cast your W frequently, making sure there are at least 10 creeps nearby, heal your carry.
Lvl 4: Your Q should be used to temporarily heal you or harass them.
Lvl 5: Continue casting W , and occasionally Q , using your E only in defense.
Lvl 6: Try to secure an early game kill if your lane has not yet. Use a combination of your Q , W , E , and R .

INTRODUCTION
Mazzie, the Snapfire is a ranged hero who can juggle between support and mobile damage dealer. She can bake and save pastries for her allies with the ability A Taste of the Revolution. She can also cast the spell Sic ‘em, in which Fanadin, her mount, jumps toward an area causing damage and slow. Another of her ability is Gatling Volley which pelts the enemies with hot lead. Her ultimate ability, Guzzle Fire, spits a burning liquid towards an enemy hero’s face causing DPS while cutting its vision to zero and disables all forms of allied vision for the targeted unit.
Aunt Mazzie is not new to the scorching flames of conflict. Serving as the mother to many injured keen who find themselves in her custody, she feeds her wounded children cookies and other pastries to soothe their troubled minds and empty bellies. In her own home she would secretly shelter these brave rebels from the armies of the Machine King, a maddened magnate who bought the local Keen government in Iron Fog; he was Aurel’s old boss. Yet after all her effort, her infirmary finally falls after the kindness she freely offered to one of the enemies’ soldiers was reciprocated with betrayal. She was captured, tortured, and imprisoned until the cause that she and her children fought hard for was finally lost.
Offered between the choice of servitude or exile, Mazzie did not hesitate to choose the latter. She was exiled to the Keen prison colony in the Knollen peaks, where she taught herself how to wield a blunderbuss to keep the cold away. Then finally came the day when the exiles of the Knollen peaks outnumbered their guards, the battle was swift. Most of the exiles decided to stay in Knollen, but Mazzie decided that she had to leave. Salvaging the technology of the fallen guards, she crafted a weaponized motorcycle from the bits and bobs. She left Knollen with a man named Brag, a Keen sharpshooter who she fought with in the last battle.
The keen duo has faced many adversities and has made many friends. Brag was a lover of Snapfire dragons and kept one as a pet. But alas father time has finally caught up with Brag, and he dec >
Hey guys, this is my first gu >give me feedback. 🙂
I love playing Tiny because “he” is not only bad *** but not an enemy to ignore, otherwise multiple enemies can melt in seconds. 🙂
In this build i will show you my ins and outs to building a successful Tiny .

Pros / Cons
+ GREAT melee carry counter from his ‘E’ skill + Amazing in mid + Increased movement speed from ultimate + Great STR and STR gain + Amazing burst early/middle game + Good carry potential or semi-carry potential if played right + Amazing ganker early and mid + Bonus attack damage through his ultimate + Looks f**king BAD-***
Items
Starting Items:
My preferred starting items are 3x Iron Branch and one Mantle of Intelligence for a generally bigger mana pool in the early stages, Tiny is very needy when it comes to mana as i will be discussing in the “skills” section. Along with this you do your basic regeneration of a set of Tango and a Healing Salve
Your Blink Dagger and you:
I cannot stress enough about how IMPORTANT Blink Dagger is. Tiny is too damn slow to catch his enemies in various early stages of the game and becomes increasingly harder to land Avalanche and follow up by using Toss half way through the duration of avalanche to maximize his combo. Adding to this you need to have a Bottle and Boots of Speed ; boots obviously for getting around the map faster inbetween lanes for ganking opportunities and bottle for runes to keep your mana pool up throughout the WHOLE game.
Primary items:
For tiny to have carrying potential you need to gank very often while farming inbetween lanes, once you have your Aghanim’s Scepter your farming potential rises through the roof, It gives approximately 50% cleave damage in a large radius, increases your attack range, improves toss bonus by 15% AND lets you deal 70% extra damage to buildings for 3 attacks on a 30 second cooldown. Finishing off your boots is also a nice touch giving an extra 24 damage to your 300 damage or so at level 16, added to this Tiny’s attack speed is incrediby slow without any modifiers; this is why i have included a Hyperstone to be primary in the build so you can dish out more attacks and more death.
Situational items:
There are many possible final items for Tiny it just matters on your situation! IF you need more attackspeed for faster attacks build a possible Assault Cuirass or a Manta Style for its very beneficial illusions and the added attack speed. If you want damage, you can build a Daedalus . Getting stunned alot and getting frustrated? Build Black King Bar and watch those stunners run for their lives (atleast for 10 seconds xD)
Skills
Avalanche :
Avalanche is a GREAT nuke at the start of the game, It also prov > Toss and Grow for extra damage. This is because of the funny scaling from lvl 3-4 being only an increase in damage of 40 instead of 80 like the other levels. This is why I level avalanche to level 2 and max toss by level 7.
This skill is practically your “bread and butter skill” it deals massive amounts of damage no matter what stage of the game you are in and has r > Avalanche because it 1. Doesn’t do anything with grow! leveled. 2. Doesn’t scale as well from level 3-4. 3. Doesn’t increase in range. 4. DOESN’T DO AS MUCH DAMAGE. (cons > Avalanche ‘s possible 600) I max this first after taking 2 levels in Avalanche at 1 & 3.
The combo!
The combo that makes Tiny a godlike ganker and burst hero is casting Avalanche and instantly following up by using toss. With Avalanche knockup makes the damage deal twice and reset the stun, this perfectly works with Toss to follow up. So mathamaticly, using level 4 Avalanche and throwing up an enemy will deal 600 damage (avalanche) + a possible 580 damage with Aghanim’s Scepter (toss). This combo will just about burst any caster or carry down with the ADDED damage from your basic attacks. After this you just beat them with your tree and watch your enemies fall.
craggy exterior:
This skill has a chance to stun enemies and increases base armour. I find this skill a bit underestimated when it comes to physical dps heroes, especially melee carries. when at level 4 this stuns enemies for 1.2 seconds and has 1/4 chance to proc, this basically saves your *** many many times when targeted by the enemy carry either 1. Disrupting their dps giving you a chance to kill them :D. 2. Gives for a great get away from a teamfight. I get thos skill and levels 10,12,13 and 14. ( basically when i have maxed out skill 1 and 2.
I well and truly love this skill, it is subtly awesome. It improves your toss bonus when throwing an enemy at level 3 by 65%! It also gives you added 60 movement speed to scale late game and improves your damage by 150. The only downs >
Laning
Playing as Tiny you almost always want to be put in mid, this provides early levels and relative safety from ganks in the early stages of the game.
What you want to do is:
– Harrass enemy with your melee attacks – Remember to always have 240 mana as this is the magic number to use your combo. – Take special priority to control rune spawn locations every 2 minutes – Make sure to bottle runes and use them to gank, but only when you reach level 5, it will melt squishies and get you fed quickly
Summary
In summary tiny is an excellent character when executed and performed properly and a VERY capable carry if you know what you are doing. 🙂
Please give me some feedback and critise my guide, this is my first one after all. I am not neccessarily finished yet and will finish this later.
