OG Makes History as Winners of ‘Dota 2’ The International 2019

OG is now officially the first-ever back-to-back winners of Dota 2’s yearly world championships, The International (TI), taking home a whopping $15.6 million USD, which accounts for 45.5 percent of the total $34.2 million USD TI9 prize pool.
Dota 2 TI, now in its ninth year, is one of the most watched global esports tournaments and, via their developer Valve’s in-game crowdfunding program, awards the largest single-event prize pool for the last seven years. Each year, Valve’s base developer contribution to TI’s prize pool maintains at $1.6 million USD since it started in 2011, making the Dota 2 player base the sole reason for its dominating competition reward — the epitome of a community celebrated game.
Just a few hours ago, OG (consisting ana, Topson, Ceb, JerAx and team captain, N0tail), defeated Team Liquid (consisting Miracle-, w33, MinD_ContRol, GH and team captain KuroKy), 3-1 in a Best of 5 Grand Finals, not only making them the first two-time TI champions, but also the first to hold up the Aegis of the Immortal back-to-back.
The final game saw OG pick Io (ana), Gyrocopter (Topson), Timbersaw (Ceb), Tiny (JerAx) and Abaddon (N0tail), against a Team Liquid draft of Bristleback (Miracle-), Windranger (w33), Omniknight (MinD_ContRol), Earth Spirit (GH) and Chen (KuroKy).
Perhaps the biggest mistake of Team Liquid in game four was not banning Io, which has been dominating this year’s championship with a final win:lose ratio of 12:4 — “you can’t spell champion without IO!” And it didn’t make it any easier that the support-intended hero was played as a carry by OG’s position one, ana. Bu dota 2 team og Additionally, captain N0tail outwitted Team Liquid’s early-game Chen strategy by drafting a position three Timbersaw, played by Ceb, which helped OG drag out the game long enough for ana’s Io to get its items.
In the end, the champion-deciding fountain-diving match lasted only 24.45 minutes, with the obvious MVP, Topson, somewhat ironically playing the position two Gyrocopter — the downfall of Alliance. Topson, a Finnish professional Dota 2 player who only recently entered the Dota 2 competitive scene, made serious headlines last year at TI8 with his versatility and dominance. He excels at unconventional heroes like Zeus and Pugna, and is constantly capable of out-of-the-box strategies like his Diffuser Gyrocopter in said last match of TI9, which heavily handicapped Team Liquid’s Omniknight and Bristleback.
In 2018, OG became the first team to win TI from an open qualifier. This 2019, they dominated from the start, finishing first in their Group Stage, and maintaining 100% Upper Bracket wins at the Main Event. “They are so far ahead of any other team because of the versatility of their playstyle,” said one of the commentators at TI9.
Returning to the winner’s spotlight, an emotional OG Team Captain, N0tail, says: “It’s too hard to believe and it’s too good to be true but it feels good all the same. Thank you everyone for making this possible and I’m an animal apparently!”

[WINDOWS] Set your Power Plan for Best Performance (Control Panel -> System and Security -> Power Options)
[TIP] Restart Dota after each match to reset the game memory.

Check Task manager for processes you don’t need and remove them, at least for the duration of testing. Also check for malware. (Razer software sometimes causes these micro stutters as well.)
[Windows 10] Disable Xbox application in Windows that may cap the FPS in all games to 60. (GUIDE)
Set fps_max in console to 120
Turn off the VSync
Check your autoexec / config for mat_vsync 1, if you find it, change the value to 0.
Disable Vsync completely from your GPU driver panel, it overrides the game settings.
[TIP] Make sure not to run the FPS test in local lobby as it will affect the FPS drastically, test it in game on valve hosted servers.
Put engine_no_focus_sleep 0 to your autoexec / console.
Switch from exclusive fullscreen to borderless windowed. Will reduce FPS on slower PCs.

Plus he is extremely situational pick who actually reduces his whole team’s exp gain, every separate meepo saps exp. Example – a certain creep gives 100 exo ( for sake of calculation) with 4 meepos and another guy present the other guy gets only 20 exp while meepo gets 80. Picture this on all lanes its a nightmare.
Meepo is easily countered by high single target dps(lion lina plus another person just zap 1)
That game is a specific example because earthbind disables blink unlike naga siren’s spell.
Well the draft did look horrible, undying, alchemist are substandard picks.
My opinion – Get a pugna instead of alchemist, you get single target damage, counters ogre magi and other casters and a bit of early push as well(or counter push depending on the scenario)

Naga siren’s Ensnare also disables blink, aswell as invisibility.
It also was captain’s draft and not CM, and pugna was out of the pool. Alchemist is still a great pick in competetive and was probably the best hero left in the pool.

You’re probably one of those people that plays Dota 2 but subscribed to the shittiest Internet Service Provider because you live in a 3rd world country where everything is expensive like hell or your ISP is imposing some daily data cap that prevents your to download that whopping 7 GB file size which can approximately take you 2 weeks to complete without shutting your PC off.
Well, to add more to it, Valve just released a 5.8 GB update for reborn last September 3, 2015. Making the Reborn client file size to hit 10 GB and up. Moreover, Valve will soon impose a mandatory installation of Reborn client in the near future because they will be leaving the Source 1 soon and move to the new and much better Reborn client.
Worry not, there’s this one way you can get the Reborn client without going through the hassle of downloading so much data and that is to copy the whole Dota 2 folder from a friend who already enjoys the Reborn client. However, it is not as easy as copy and paste. Your Steam client would probably recognize the old Dota 2 content but it will not acknowledge that you already have the necessary data you need to play Dota 2 Reborn.
There are 2 methods to make things go smoothly after copy pasting the Dota 2 Reborn that you copied from another PC. Here’s how to copy Dota 2 Reborn:
Method 1
1. From the PC where you are about to get a Reborn Copy; look for the file location of that PCs Steam then go to SteamApps -> Common -> Dota 2 Beta, open the Dota 2 Beta folder. 2. Copy the Game folder and Content (Note: In some cases, some of you might not see the Content folder, if this happened just copy the game folder instead.) 3. Paste the copied folder/s to the location of your Dota 2 Beta. Transfer dota 2 from one computer to another Make sure you paste the copied content inside the Dota 2 Beta folder of your PC. 4. Next, from your friends PC, copy the appmanifest570.acf. You can find this acf file inside the SteamApps folder and paste it to the same directory of your PC. 5. Log in to your Steam account on your PC and let Steam validate Dota 2.
Method 2
1. From your friends PC, locate the Dota 2 Beta folder and copy the whole folder. 2. Delete Dota 2 from your PC via Steam. To do this, right click on your Dota 2 within the Steam library and click Delete Local Content. Make sure that your Dota 2 is fully uninstalled. 3. Paste the copied Dota 2 Beta folder to your PC and make sure that it replaces your PCs current Dota 2 Folder (If the folder is still present). 4. On your PC, install Dota 2. Let Steam do its thing. It will recognize the Dota 2 Beta you’ve just pasted. 5. Once the installation of Dota 2 is complete, run the game. Once you are inside the Dota 2 in-game UI, click pre-load Reborn and let it run for a few seconds. 6. After letting the pre-load run for a few seconds, close the Dota 2 game. This will make the Steam run validate the Reborn client. 7. Let the Steam validate the file, it will try to show a download for Dota 2 worth 6 to 8 GB but it will now download anything at all. It will just show that it is downloading and within a few seconds, you are done. You can now play Dota 2 Reborn.

In any kind of MOBA game, you never want to rush.
Rushing to push, gank, kill, and do everything else is only going to bring down your team in the long run.
It’s a good idea to farm. Farming will help you build XP and Gold while being able to buy better upgrades, in turn letting you take over the opposing team’s base. Play the long game!
Don’t Cheap Out At The Beginning
Almost every MOBA player will tell you it’s a good idea to buy the basic items at the beginning: potions, boots, and daggers are good places to start.
The boots and daggers will give your hero the main boost in ATK and Speed at the beginning, allowing you to farm much easier.
Master Your Hero
No one becomes a pro without having master their main (hero). You know you’re playing with or against experienced players if they use the same main in every game.
For new players: if you want to master a hero or figure out your play style, then it may be a good idea to play with the same hero for four weeks. You don’t want to miss out on the best character for your style without exploring a bit.
This gives you the chance to get comfortable with your hero’s role, often one of these:
While you’re trying to master your hero, you’ll also get used to the gameplay mechanics and what you need to work on to achieve more wins.
The best way to master your hero is to play with the same hero for three to four days.
This gives you the chance to get comfortable with your chosen hero and decide if their gameplay style is for you: rush, gank or tank.

Watch How the Pros Play
Watch. Observe. Reflect.
See how your favorite pros play in DOTA 2 matches. Taking the best parts of their strategies could boost your game pretty fast, and maybe even put you on the list of DOTA 2 champions over time.
Most DOTA 2 pros will offer advice and explanations on why they do certain things. Hit them up on Twitter or a Reddit AMA!
Look at the Mini-Map
The mini-map will help you respond quickly to what’s going on near you rather than the close-up view you have on your hero.
You’ll also be able to scope out the situation when your opponents are far away—they won’t always be in plain sight, so take the opportunity to set up some traps.
Practice Makes Perfect
It’s true that “practice makes perfect.” Make time for the game, and think critically about what you want to achieve in specific games. Check out this subreddit thread on practicing in DOTA 2. You can find a lot of useful tips from players who have done this before.
Awesome Play On Your A-Game
Make your decisions confidently. This is the key to practicing as a DOTA 2 player because your actions are building blocks for a larger strategy. Some missteps aren’t going to make or break anything.
Confidence allows you to think straight and make logical sense of all of your gameplay decisions. And confidence comes from practice and experience, one match at a time.
Observe Everything
In DOTA 2 there are a lot of things going on at once. It takes real strategy to observe everything but the more you start observing, the better you’ll get.
Stay on top of everything that’s going on in your practice sessions, and don’t develop tunnel vision. Keeping an ear to the ground is the key winning! Watch for:
the environment
teammates’ actions
opponent’s actions
traps
When you’re beginning to observe everything, it becomes quite clear where your hero should be, where you should be setting up traps, and the best places to farm at the beginning of your game.
Every time you practice observation, you begin to act quicker.
You’re on your way to becoming a pro in DOTA 2.

This could happen if you connect to a server that is too far away from your location, what server/location are you connected? you should pick southeast asia since your in Malaysia? Singapore?
