Sébastien “Ceb” Debs (formerly known as 7ckngMad) is a French professional Dota 2 player currently playing for OG.

Biography [ edit ]

Team Shakira and Western Wolves [ edit ]

7ckngMad’s professional Dota 2 career started with Team Shakira in 2011. The team first gained notability after placing 4th in Dreamhack Winter 2011 and shortly after Sébastien, along with the rest of the team, was picked up by Western Wolves. [1] After only three months with Western Wolves, paved with roster issues, 7ckingmad left the organisation and dec >[2] [3]

mTw and The International 2012 [ edit ]

The new mTw squad managed to win the organisations first tournament and went on to beat Next. kz in the finals of the West Qualifiers for The International 2012, qualifying for the main event. The team continued having success in almost every tournament it took part in, most notably winning DreamHack Summer 2012. Going into The International 2012 the team was considered as one of the top contenders.

After, what can only be described as a team-w >[4]

Team Shakira, Shiba Gaming and DD. Dota [ edit ]

Two months after re-forming Team Shakira four of the players on the team played in ESWC 2012 as Shiba Gaming. With the help of Alexander “CalculuS” Rathcke they finished 3rd place. The players dec >[5] Shortly after the formation the team decided not to work with MYM and formed DD. Dota instead.

After only a short while the German player Angelo “THEneNo-” Gonzalez dec >[6] Following another time of roster stability issues, the team, now featuring Airat “Silent” Gaziev and Artur “Goblak” Kostenko, entered the qualifier for The International 2013. After placing second in the West Qualifier they faced Chinese team RattleSnake in the Wildcard Match. Before the wildcard match the team was signed by Quantic Gaming and therefore entered the tournament as Quantic.

The wildcard game ended in a heartbreaking fashion for 7ckinMad and his team. After two games the score was tied but RattleSnake managed to take the last two games of the series in a dominating fashion. Rattlesnake managed to eliminate Quantic 3-1 both due to good play from their own team but also misplays from Quantic, with the most famous one being Sockshka stunning a Beastmaster Boar due to a misclick that could otherwise have stunned three enemy heroes. [7] This ended all hopes for 7ckngMad to qualify for the tournament.

In the following months Quantic slowly lost player after player, starting off with Silent leaving to Team Empire and Goblak joining Virtus. pro. [8] [9] After Funzii dec >[10]

Sigma. Dota 2 multiple coaches hot int [ edit ]

The new team, featuring 7ckngMad, Sockshka, Mikkel “miGGel” Berg, Adrian “FATA-” Trinks and Brian “MaNia” Strandby, first went under the name DD. Dota for about a month before a new organisation was willing to step in to sponsor the squad. The organisation that ended up signing the team was the french Sigma. Dota 2 multiple coaches hot [11] Before joining Sigma MaNia dec >[12] With this new team 7ckngMad had his most success so far by qualifying for several premier tournaments.

However, Sigma had mixed results at LANs, being able to achieve success at ESWC, Dota 2 Champion’s League and Starladder, but having early departures thereafter. Eventually, a last place finish at DreamLeague due to disqualification sealed the team’s fate, and 7ckngMad was left to wander around multiple teams.

Alliance [ edit ]

After short stints on various teams, 7ckngMad was taken in by Alliance, but the team posted mediocre results. After failing to qualify for The International 2015, the team seemed to be on the road to recovery, with top 4 placings at DreamLeague and joinDota MLG Pro League Season 2. However, it turned out to be for nothing, as an early departure from ESL One Frankfurt 2015 would be 7ckngmad’s last tournament with Alliance. After parting ways with Alliance, 7ckngMad began wandering the scene once more.

Late 2015 & OG [ edit ]

7ckngMad progressively lost prominence as an active player, with low placings on Monkey Freedom Fighters and Kaipi. After serving as an analyst at the Shanghai Major, 7ckngMad became OG’s coach and was able to once again show his skills through the team’s results. As OG’s coach, 7ckngMad proceeded to oversee the team’s victories and dominance at the Frankfurt, Manila, Boston and Kiev Majors, all of which were won by OG. Following Resolut1on’s departure in March 2018, he was a stand-in player until June before officially filling the offlane position for The International 2018.

New Season, New Teams – A Preview Of New Teams Formed

The recent Dota season ended with 5 players winning The International 2019 and everyone else searching for answers about how they’re going to win The International 2020. The post TI shuffle is one of the most exciting times in Dota with new players joining forces and old teammates becoming rivals. Here is a look at five new teams formed for the up coming Dota Pro Circuit season.

Team Aster

Team Aster is a Chinese organization founded by Chinese Dota legend iG. BurNIng . They’ve recruited: Aster. Sccc , Aster. ChYuan , Aster. Xxs , Aster. Boboka and Aster. Fade for their team for the upcoming season.

Sccc was the star of Newbee during their 2nd place TI7 run. Since then he has been missing in action from Dota Pro Circuit events as his Newbee squad was unable to qualify for major tournaments.

ChYuan is a 19 year old mid player from Malaysia with approximately $10,000 in earnings. It’s not uncommon for young core players to burst onto the scene and make themselves a household name, ChYuan and Team Aster hopes this happens to them.

Xxs and Boboka were a part of INVICTUS GAMING the last time they played well at major tournaments. Boboka was the stand out star of IG especially on his position 4 Monkey King and Riki.

Fade was arguably the breakout star of all players in the last year. He won two Major tournaments last season with Vici Gaming who were one of the favorites to win it all at TI9.

We predict Team Aster to be able to qualify for at least two DPC events, if not Majors than Minors. With star power in Sccc and Fade, and young and hungry players in the other three members, Team Aster should be able to best the other top Chinese teams in at least two qualifiers.

TEAM ORACLE

Team Oracle is an Australian esports organization formed in 2019 with some competitive appearances this year.

They’ve managed to recruit: QO , No7 , Monster , Destrice , and lordboonz for their team this season.

QO is their most notable player with his run on MVP. Phoenix where the team upset OG at The International 2016. Since then he has disappeared from the professional scene and took an extended break in 2018. Now he’s back with Team Oracle.

No7, Monster, and Destrice do not have Liquipedia profiles so that should be enough analysis for them. No7 is from Cambodia, Monster is from the United States, and Destrice is from Malaysia. Dota 2 s4 new team sleep

Lordboonz is an Australian player with a Liquipedia page and has approximately $440 in earnings.

We would be very surprised and impressed if this team manages to beat out other Southeast Asian teams to make it to a major tournament. We predict this team will lose most qualifiers and at best play in a few minor tournaments.

LOWKEY ESPORTS

Lowkey Esports is an American organization with teams in Pubg, Rocket League, Fortnite and other esports.

They picked up an all Phillopino stack – Skadilicious , Yowe, TNC. Sam H , Luzify, and CG. FLYSOLO .

Sam H is their most well known player. He was the offlaner for TNC Predator for many years, playing in TI6, TI7, and TI8 with them.

Skadilicious is a carry player with approximately $4200 in earnings. He began his Dota 2 career in 2018 with Neon Esports.

Yowe is an 18 year old mid player with no earnings and little experience in competitive Dota. Dota 2 s4 new team sleep

Luzify is their 4 position and he doesn’t have a Liquipedia profile.

Flysolo is their 5 and captain. He has a long history in Dota 2 going back to 2015 but his total approximate earnings are $8,999.

If this team manages to win a qualifier over other Southeast Asian teams we will be impressed. We think this team has the potential to upset other top teams in the Southeast Asia region but whether or not that will happen is unknown.

EternalEnvy Stack

The Asian Americans have formed their own stack under the leadership of EternalEnvy.

There is no team name or sponsors but this stack consists of Pandas. EternaLEnVy , Pandas. Bryle , Pandas. MoonMeander , Pandas. Sneyking , and Pandas. Aui_2000 .

EternalEnvy is no stranger to forming his own stack to play Dota in his own vision. He created Team NP with his own funding, a team that had decent results. Now he’s forming a new team once again with what looks like his best stack to date.

Bryle is a Canadian m > J. Storm . He has a lifetime earning of approximately $24,500.

MoonMeander is a high skill offlane player who had tremendous success in the pro scene in the past. He played for the green OG team and won 2 majors and a few other tournaments with them. He has bounced around teams ever since getting kicked from OG and has been unable to recreate his success with OG.

SneyKing is an American offlane/support player who has been very active in major tournaments in the past two years. He has played in The International 2018 and 2019 with VGJ Storm and Newbee. He also won GESC Thailand in 2018 with VGJ. Storm and placed 2nd at MDL Changsta Major, losing to PSG. LGD .

Aui_2000 is a TI5 champion with Evil Geniuses . Since then he has not achieved much success as a pro player and has been coaching the North American Newbee for the past two years. He has decided to become a player once again and hopes to follow the footsteps of Ceb and become a coach turned player who wins a TI (again).

We think this team has the potential to beat any team in North America. Dota 2 s4 new team sleep With Evil Geniuses and Newbee changing their roster, North America is wide open. We wouldn’t be surprised if this team sticks together after qualifying to some major and minor tournaments.

Evil Geniuses

It is weird to think about Evil Geniuses without Suma1L , but the new roster is built around EG. Arteezy instead, with EG. Ramzes666 in the offlane replacing s4 . EG. Abed will take over the mid, while both Cr1t and Fly will keep their current positions.

There are several things worth noting in this new roster. First of all, we will finally get some sort of an answer about whether the RTZ and Sumail duo was too greedy. Both Sumail and Abed are top tier mids that can fulfill both the main carry and the tempo-core roles really well, but Abed definitely skews towards the latter more. In theory this should allow Arteezy to have a better time in his games and fully get into superhuman efficiency mode.

Secondly, while Ramzes is frequently thought of as that incredible, mechanically gifted super-carry, few know that for the last season he was also frequently the drafter and sometimes the de facto in-game coordinator of Virtus. Pro. Perhaps he will fill the very necessary role of introducing fresh ideas to the team and convincing veterans such as Fly and Bulba to experiment and take risks more frequently. Moreover, the third position is a little bit less intense, so Ramzes could take over some in-game coordination as well.

Finally, the departure of Sumail doesn’t necessarily mean he is out of the scene and perhaps separating the region’s strongest talent will allow the NA competitive Dota to flourish. Last DPC season was hardly a success for the region as a whole and despite decent TI9 results, some sort of fundamental change was needed. Hopefully, if there are three NA Major qualifier slots this year, they will be more deserved than last year.

GAMERS DECIDE

New Season New Teams

The Dota 2 Pro scene is forever a changing landscape and now that the post-TI lineup changes have concluded, and the teams have had their chance to play in a full Major and the Qualifier for another, it is time to speculate on which teams could be the top of the new season.

10. TNC Predator

TNC Predator tied with PSG. LGD at the Kuala Lumpur Major, and finished in 2nd place for the Southeast Asia Qualifier for Chongqing behind Fnatic. Their Chongqing Qualifier performance, however, could’ve been negatively impacted by a Valve mandated banning of Kuku from the tournament and losing a Captain is no minor inconvenience. Clearly they have the skill and teamwork to Qualify for the Major, but as their down a Captain in Kuku it will be hard to judge their true potential regardless of their Chongqing standings – but a full powered TNC Predator could be a force.

Playing for TNC Predator:

9. NIP

Ninjas in Pyjamas, can never get over that name, finished 4th place in the Kuala Lumpur Major and holds the 4th most DPC points for this year. The team is only 3 months old and already had a high standing in a Major – clearly the talent is present, but will they have the teamwork to last the entire year?

8. VG

VG tied with Fnatic at the Kuala Lumpur Major and had a solid showing in last year’s Circuit. The team has had a 3 player roster change of picking up Yang, Fade, and Dy dropping eLeVeN, LaNm, and Fenrir. VG is set to play in DPL Season 6 and if their performance picks up then they could be a promising team to follow into the year.

7. Forward Gaming

Time to get into the grey areas, Forward have finished 2nd place in two Major Qualifiers but have overcome their problems with EG, losing 0-2 in Kuala Qualifier and 1-2 in the Kuala Major only to turn around with a 2-0 in the Chongqing Qualifier. This rising team shows great potential for the upcoming season and the Chongqing Major will be a testing ground for them to hopefully triumph upon.

6. Fnatic

The 4th place TI finishers have changed their roster and still finished 2nd in the PVP Esports Championship, ahead of PSG. LGD but losing 2-3 to Secret. Clearly the potential of this team can be seen.

5. EG

3rd place Kuala Lumpur finishers and 3rd place 2018-2019 DPC standing team EG shows no roster changes and no chance of slowing down.

4. Liquid

Team Liquid proved they still have what it takes during the Chongqing Major Qualifiers by completely clowning around in style and still making 2nd. These previous TI winners show they still got it and half of Dota is actually enjoying the game and this team surely does.

Same as ever, Liquid’s players are:

3. PSG. LGD

The 2nd place team out of TI, PSG. LGD showed great consistency last year. This team roster has been together since January 2018 and their 3rd place DPC ranking last year feels very earned, making up for their Kuala Lumpur performance. For all we know PSG. LGD will have their shot at TI again this year.

The players on PSG. LGD are:

2. Secret

Secret finished in 4th place for the DPC rankings last year and suffered during the TI event. They have since dropped Ace and Fata for Nisha and Zai and finished 2nd place in the Kuala Lumpur Major. Their early strength for the new Circuit has been further shown in the Chongqing Major finishing 1st in their Qualifier over Liquid – however, Liquid may have not been trying as hard as expected.

Secret’s roster consists of:

1. Virtus Pro

VP have been a powerhouse since last year’s circuit and continue to show a strong dominance early in 2019. VP are currently leading the DPC charts for this year which shows major stability for this team as they also finished last year with the highest DPC. VP took 1st place in the Kuala Lumpur Major, continuing their trend of early Major dominance. With the stability this team shows maybe this year will be their Aegis.

yup right, they have it on wiki

The ward is a sepatare unit. While WD channels it, the player can even select the ward and order it to attack a different target. It’s the ward that does damage to you, not WD himself, so logically blademail should return the damage to the ward, but since it’s invulnerable, it doesn’t care.

You can however return a lot of damage to the WD with blade mail if you happen to get hit by his maledict!

“The balance of Power”
I’m going to write about this monster of an update (1 hour to download on test client!) and hopefully people write back.

FIRST THING IS FIRST:
Arc Warden, new hero, OP. As usual. Learn to play him, he’s extremely versatile.
Zeus Arcana is meh, desert terrain is meh–is music pack free with it?–, nice comic, treasure, cool

New menu seems like a gift from zeus–Arcana style buff zeus. Thank you!

I think the map changes should help balance sides, but I haven’t downloaded the update on test yet. I did notice it sounds like the ward spots are more plentiful on radiant now.

New rune may be OP, depending on the numbers of it.

Creeps got buffed, especially Roshan’s attack speed.

ITEMS: Dragon Lance and Aether Lens seem fun, especially on squishy supports or supports/ranged heroes that need that extra range. Iron Talon may be helpful for supports to gain a bit of gold, like a cheap midas? Not sure. Faerie Fire could use a 125 heal over time to make it worthwhile.
The Bash buffs= Rise of RNGesus. Most defensive items got buffed which is cool I guess. Rod of Atos is now a cheap PA counter.

HEROES:
Alch – The GG rescale is weird. obviously it makes that early bottle come with more of a price – dropping stout or QB, but 600 gold is a lot. Maybe could use another 100 downwards.
Brewmaster – Strong buffs. Brew players rejoice. Drunken haze is already annoying enough, and if you can micro your split you’re going to have a good time.
Bristleback – He got buffed. surprising. The aghs upgrade is strong, it boosts his quill spray damage because everyone gets their armor reduced.
Centaur – Return is already really fun. Nice buff.
Chen – Underwhelming attempt trying to fix him
Clinkz – That AGI gain. Clinkz is already pretty strong.
Dazzle – Good enough.
Death Prophet – I think spirit siphon can work situationally. She IS stronger because of it, and it can drain a total of 54.4% of respective max HP. It’s a bit strange.
Doom – le nerf hammer
Dragon Knight – A small buff. Needs more.
Drow – One of the better scepter upgrades, not all that great, though
Earth spirit – Seems good to go!
Elder Titan – Refresher=Easiest rampage in dota. Dota 2 6 86 lone druid jungle A much needed buff.
Ember Spirit – Quite honestly, a perfect nerf. Greatly reduces his map presence since you can camp his remnants. And it still allows him to carry.
Enigma – Buffed, cool I guess
Faceless Void – Basically a pain in the ♥♥♥ to play against.
Huskar – Another spot on nerf.
Invoker – Level 1 invoke? I don’t play invoker, so I don’t really know.
Kunkka – Aghs upgrade is basically Magnus’s combo. Not sure if worth.
Legion Commander – Scepter is now viable, and pretty fun honestly
Lone Druid – Savage Roar is a quirky lil thing. The buffs to the right click of the druid and his bear are strong, however.
Magnus – The scepter gives him a position as a support for sure, and identifies him as an aura guy I suppose. I think it’s pretty good.
Outworld devourer – A weird change. I think it’s overall a nerf due to the INT gain nerf, which isn’t really what he needed.
Phoenix – Pretty significant buff, in my mind. I’ll probably start playing him again.
Pudge – I love the change. Now I can skip aghs and rush dagon (;
Riki – Actually seems pretty balanced, I don’t know why they dec >Sand king – Probably one of the worst scepter upgrades in the game. I dunno.
Shadow fiend – I don’t even know. Will the heal be significant?
Silencer – Arcane curse seems pretty strong, not sure.
Slardar – Exactly what I expected.
Tidehunter – I don’t even understand what the aghs does
Timbersaw – Surprised he got buffed after SumaiL’s performance
Tinker – A good buff to laser
Tiny – I think this means he takes the damage from the attack, so he is less durable. A fair change to the hero.
Troll Warlord – A possible of +180 attack speed seems a little unfair.
Tusk – As was expected
Ursa – That scepter upgrade is really strong. Scepter Octarine Ursa=New Meta
Vengeful Spirit – Scepter is a good upgrade, means her death will benefit the teamfight even further than the vengence aura reduced damage.
Windranger – As was expected
Winter Wyvern – I think this was the original idea of the hero, rather than a strong BKB piercing lockdown.
Wraith King – THANK YOU icefrog.
Other hero changes I pretty much nodded my head in agreement to.
Side note: I’m not sure why they chose to rework the heroes they did, but whatever.

So. Thoughts? Questions? Arguments? Opinions? Anything I missed?

General DiscussionCarry riki build?

I’ve been doing diffusal basher sny bfly abyssal

deso better than basher? or add aghs somewhere what are people doing

you probably want basher over deso so you can keep them in the ring when you go on them.
I haven’t played him much but it’s pretty stupid how much damage you deal with just diffusal yasha upgrade

Bf is kind of stupid but if you have free farm go for it. A good carry riki item progression would be:

Pre 15 min:
Phase/Treads
Wand
Aquilla
Diffusal
Batfu(Optional)

15-30:
Basher
SnY
Deso(Optional)
Manta(If the enemies are carrying so much dusts)

Late game:
Abyssal
Nullifier(To purge/stop force staff, ghost, bkb and euls users)
Skadi
Daedalus
Dagger(Optional for quick initiations and escapes)

Other good late game options:
MKB
Linkens/Bkb
Divine rapier
Butterfly
Bloodthorn
Aghanims
Mjollnir

Put in mind: Riki is a stomper/snowball hero and falls off at late game when the enemy can lock you down and have good detection carriers. Riki is soft when caught by the enemy so its obvious that anyone can burst you down very quickly.

Riki is a stomper/snowball hero and falls off at late game when the enemy can lock you down and have good detection

dude, with 25 u are just machine gun agi carry who is invincible for 7 seconds and can attack anyone in area 2x size of the screen. id say if anything you just keep getting stronger when u get 20 blink talent and 25 ult talent, compared to another carry like sniper or juggs talents

the damage is insane

Ofc the damage is insane, you could literally solo any carry late game but if the enemy groups up later and have decent ways of stopping you and your mg output. You’re toast.

Riki can’t split push and deal tower damage. Gem kills his vibe.

That’s why he’s played as 3/4 because of the utility he has and damage output is very good.

Fact is 900 blink strike and smoke talents are fucking insane. 6 sec duration smoke on a 4 sec cd? Thats just stupid.

Riki is a good core but a better utility hero.

ur not toast u just kill everyone instead of 1 guy dude

unless the enemy team is 5x centaur it doesnt matter, 6/7 seconds and .4s attack = 15/17 attacks , people are fucking dying to that even if they clump

and clumping is NOT GOOD, forcing people to clump is a benefit in itself

Riki is one of the strongest late gamers lmao, problem is getting there

Nullifier alone lets him solo most people without his ult

pretty sure phase (aquila) battlefury sny aghanims deso skadi is the build ( the idea is that you do a lot of damage with your ultimate if you got enough +dmg items hence the phase bfury, so you build slows-on-attack to ensure ppl dont run away, aghanims so you can infest your frontliner, and deso to 1/2-hit supports unfortunate enough to find themselves in your AOE and hit towers)

but for low coordination pubs you can always go diffusal-nullifier, and you also need bkb because you probably wont be able to just get away with carrying via aghanims.

i myself find quite good success with a casual crysalis build but im not playing in divine

and i suck at riki pos1 myself (i play him as a 4 sometimes 3)

and yea if ppl clump you rampage with battlefury lol

theres not much point going bfury tbh

even divine 5 pubs are easy to pick off as riki, so i see no reason why you should ever farm creeps over heroes in any kind of pubs

phase aquila diffusal basher, then you can decide if you want team fight more (aghs) or pickoff more (nullifier)

manta if they’re hunting you with gem + orchid or something
