Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update version 1.08 is live

The patch notes are already available.

The next major Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update is now available to download.

Modern Warfare update version 1.08 hit the live servers earlier today. It’s a 3.415 GB download file on PlayStation 4. Infinity Ward has already posted the patch notes for this update on Reddit and there are a few changes that players will be excited to see.

Here are the patch notes for Modern Warfare update version 1.08:

General fixes

  • More backend fixes to prevent crashes and improve stability across all modes and all platforms

Riot Shield

  • Fix for a bug where a player using the Riot Shield would not take explosive damage during certain situations
  • Fixed an issue where the Riot Shield would stow on the players back when using Stim. (Tactical)

Footsteps

  • Adjusted to always play walk footstep sounds when in ADS and crouch independent of speed
  • Increased the speed in which you can remain using the walk footstep sounds by slightly pressing on the movement stick

Challenges

  • General fix for the UI and Challenge state getting out of sync. We’ll continue to monitor and make additional fixes as needed in future updates
  • Fix for a challenge related error that could occur; DEV ERROR 5476
  • Fix for Mission Challenge description, “Get Kills with a Burst Weapons” being too vague.

Piccadilly

  • Spawn tuning while playing TDM and Domination
  • Domination flag adjustments; B Flag is now near the busses instead of the center fountain

Weapons

  • ARs: Minor hip spread adjustment
  • 725: Reduce range
  • M4: increase hip spread, decrease damage to the head
  • FAL: Reduced recoil, increased ADS speed
  • EB-14: Increase ADS speed
  • Miscellaneous ammo reserve adjustments upon spawning to be in-line with other weapons of their class

Special Operations

  • Fix for a bug where a player using the Overkill perk with an SMG as their secondary would sometimes spawn without a primary weapon when joining a match in progress

Most notably, Infinity Ward has implemented heavily-requested changes to footstep audio in Modern Warfare. Now, you’ll only be able to hear “walk footstep sounds” when a player is aiming down sights or crouching, according to Infinity Ward. This should allow players to walk around the map more quietly.

Additionally, Infinity Ward nerfed the 725 shotgun and M4A1 assault rifle again. The developer further reduced the ranged on the 725 and increased the hip spread of the M4 while also decreasing the damage it deals to an enemy’s head.

Some slight changes were made to the unpopular map Piccadilly, but they might not be enough to keep players from backing out of a lobby whenever it shows up.

You can test all of these Modern Warfare adjustments once you’ve downloaded update version 1.08.

The new heroes started their journey pretty underpowered, not even reaching 45% win rate in their opening days. Players getting acquainted with their skill set and some balance changes have finally made heroes playable in high level pubs and also made it possible to start discussing them, since it is unlikely they will be receiving anything but some minor number tweaks in the nearest future.

The Reach beta has concluded and the team is now working hard towards the Season 1 launch. Here we share some of the details on the upcoming Season, and what players can expect when they log in to play.

The new patch is wild, with all the positive and maybe some negative connotations this word implies. As such, we are trying to be extremely cautious when discussing it so that we don’t unnecessarily invoke some misguided disenchantment from the community.

62 new items are available for finding, not purchasing. You can now build your inventory through jungling and not spending your gold. Is this good? Bad? Who knows, it’s too early to tell.

The Reach Beta has been a valuable month for us at Elo. The feedback from our community has allowed us to make considerable progress in refining the key automated systems of the platform and we couldn’t possibly be more excited to see people begin to play in Season One.

This is going to be less of a stats recap and more of a farewell to a patch, which overstayed its welcome for at least a couple of months. Instead of going over the same heroes once more, we felt it is more appropriate to highlight some of the heroes which were outside of the meta at the tournament’s start, but nevertheless had a great impact in the later stages of MDL Chengdu.

Bounty runes, come back gold, ancient creeps, camps stacking, and more. The economy of Dota keeps growing and growing but how does that affect supports and cores?

We’ve done a lot of testing with our current systems in the Reach league and are finally confident in opening it up to more users. Divine level players may now participate in Reach, effective immediately.

The first major tournament of the season is finally happening. Get up to date with all the teams participating, their odds of winning it all, and more!

Patch 7.22 is certainly overstaying its welcome and it clearly shows in the current professional tournaments. There are almost no new meta developments and for the most part the Summit 11 concentrated on the same exact heroes as the tournaments prior.

Captains and drafters are some of the most revered pros in the scene. The genius drafting strategies and counter picks can win the game before the first bounty runes spawn. Here are some draft ideas to try out for your next battle cup tournament.

Reach had an exciting and informative first week of games, with over 1000 matches played, and over 1200 unique players participating. Here’s the rundown on week 1, and what’s coming down the pipeline.

The idea of a tanky frontline hero in the offlane has been repeated over and over again for the last several months. It makes sense on the professional scene, while working incredibly well in pubs. Building survivability items and allowing yourself to be initiated on has become the go to strategy for a lot of teams and it is unlikely to change until after the new patch is released.

MMR may just be a number but a higher number is superior. Read this article to learn a few tips and tricks on growing your MMR number.

The current meta has been established for a long time but teams still must find their slight edge. At ESL One Hamburg 2019, we saw more of what we’ve been seeing for a few months now.

A $33 million esports tournament is now underway, and the prize pool could keep growing. Here’s everything you need to know about ‘The International’

One of the biggest events in esports kicked off from Shanghai on Wednesday night, pitting 18 teams against each other for a share of a $33 million prize pool.

The International is the annual championship for “Dota 2,” a popular free-to-play computer game with millions of players around the world. “Dota 2” has more than 10 million active players each month, and each one of them can help contribute to the massive prize pool by spending money on the game.

Valve, the company behind “Dota 2,” began hosting The International near their Seattle headquarters in 2011, and adopted a crowd-funding model to help support the game’s active esports community.

The first International offered a $1.6 million prize pool, but it’s ballooned in the years since. Last year’s event gave away $25.5 million to the qualified teams, and this year’s $33,039,566 prize pool could continue to increase as the tournament gets underway.

“Dota 2” is a team strategy game, and each match can take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour and a half to complete. Players must implement a masterful level of strategy, team work, technical skill, and overall game knowledge to reach The International, and the 18 qualified teams showcase talent from countries around the world.

Group play begins on August 15, and the main event will be held from August 20 to 25. Each match will be streamed live on Twitch. TV, and the main event will be held over the course of five days in Shanghai’s Mercedes-Benz Arena, which seats up to 18,000 people.

Here’s everything you need to know about The International, the massive championship event giving away $33 million in prize money.

The International’s $33 million prize pool is crowd-funded by the game’s community. Here’s how the prizes are handed out to the 18 teams.

Dota 2 is free-to-play and has more than 10 million active players each month. Players can help boost The International prize pool by purchasing a seasonal “Battle Pass” in the months surrounding the tournament.

The battle pass starts at $9.99, and gives players tons of rewards for completing challenges as they play. Players can also pay to raise their Battle Pass level instead, which boosts the prize pool even further. Valve places 25% of all Battle Pass proceeds into The International prize pool, even after the tournament is underway.

There are 18 teams from around the world that have qualified for The International by competing in smaller tournaments throughout the year.

The International includes qualified teams from six regions:

North America: Evil Geniuses, Newbee

South America: Infamous

Europe: Team OG, Alliance, Team Liquid, Chaos eSports Club, Ninjas in Pajamas

China: Vici Gaming, Keen Gaming, Royal Never Give Up, PSG. LGD

The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS): Virtus. Pro, Natus Vincere (Na’Vi)

Southeast Asia: Fnatic, TNC Predator, Mineski

Each team consists of five players, and they each play a specific role during the match.

Each of the five players on a Dota 2 team has a specific role, similar to a basketball team. For example, a “carry” player will spend the early part of a game building their strength so they can dominate the late stages of a match, while support players make sure the carry stays safe and puts pressure on the opponents early on.

Teams typically handpick players for a specific role, and the team captain selects characters for all five players at the start of each match.

This year’s defending champs, Team OG, completed their roster together just two months before The International began. Their sponsor, Red Bull, put together a feature-length film called “Against the Odds” documenting the team’s amazing run to the championship.

The International has a similar format to the FIFA World Cup. First, the teams face off against each other in a round robin group stage, then they’re placed into a traditional tournament bracket for the main event.

The International will separate the 18 teams into two groups. Each team in Group A and Group B will play the other teams in their groups twice, and each win will earn them a seeding point for the main event.

The two teams with the least points will be eliminated when the group stage ends. The remaining 16 teams will be placed into the Main Event tournament bracket based on their seeding points.

The eight teams with the best records will end up in the Upper Bracket, where all matches are best-of-three. The other eight teams with worse records will be placed in the Lower Bracket, where they face elimination.

Teams in the first round of the lower bracket will play a single elimination match, while matches in the later rounds will be best of 3. Teams that lose in the Upper Bracket will fall to the Lower Bracket, where they will face elimination.

In the end, the final team in the Lower Bracket will play the final team in the Upper Bracket in a best-of-five match for the $15 million first-place prize.

You can see all of the rules for match play on the official “Dota 2” website.

The main event will be held at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China, from August 20 to August 25.

Up until 2018, The International was held in Seattle each year, near Valve’s corporate headquarters. The tournament branched out last year and moved to Vancouver, Canada, for the tournament, welcoming nearly 20,000 spectators to the Rogers Arena. Stream dota 2 the international 3 results

This year, The International will shift to an entirely new continent, with the main event being held at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China. Stream dota 2 the international 3 results China has a massive “Dota 2” community and the arena has room to host 18,000 spectators for the five-day event.

The International will also feature special events beyond the tournament. There will be special events during each day of the main event, including a cosplay and film contests, and an all-star match.

The International will feature commentary in multiple languages, and players can login to the game to watch a direct feed of each match in their language of choice.

While The International will be streaming live on multiple Twitch channels, players can get a more hands-on experience by watching the live feed from their own computer. If you login to “Dota 2,” you can choose between multiple commentary teams in different languages, move the camera around yourself, and even check out live stats in the game client.

People who bought a battle pass and contributed to The International prize pool can also earn extra rewards by predicting match results.

Since multiple matches will be taking place at the same time, you can follow several streams in multiple languages on Twitch. TV.

You can check the official “Dota 2” website for the full schedule of matches; times appear to be based on the US East Coast time, or GMT -5, but they might change automatically based on your location.

Doom/Old Abilities

  • This ability got reworked into the current Devour in the 7.20 gameplay patch.
  • Can target all neutral creeps and summons, except for couriers, ancient creeps and creep-heroes.
    • Can target ancient creeps (excluding couriers and Roshan ) when the talent for it is chosen.
  • The targeted creep is instantly killed, granting its bounty and experience like a regular last hit.
  • Can only gain abilities from neutral creeps. Abilities are gained instantly upon devouring the creep.
    • The abilities use the original cast point of the neutral creeps they come from.
    • However, the cast backswing differs depending on the spell (see chart).
    • Abilities from neutral creeps are kept permanently, even through death, until another neutral creep with abilities is devoured.
    • Devouring a creep with no abilities does not remove the already acquired abilities.
    • When devouring Ancient Black Dragon s, Doom gets Fireball and Splash Attack , but not Dragonhide Aura .
    • When devouring Ancient Thunderhide s, Doom gets Frenzy and War Drums Aura , but not Slam .
  • Places a debuff on Doom, which lasts 1 second per 20 health the creep had upon getting devoured. The debuff is lost upon death.
    • The bonus gold is unreliable and granted when the debuff expires. Losing it upon death does not grant the gold.
    • Doom cannot devour another creep while the debuff is active, even if Devour is off cooldown.
    • The debuff lasts longer than Devour’s cooldown when devouring a creep with more than 1400/1200/1000/800 current health.
  • This ability was replaced by Infernal Blade in the 6.86 gameplay patch.
  • The mini-stun lasts for 0.03 seconds.
  • The 20% bonus damage is also dealt as magical damage.
  • Cannot be cast on non-hero units, except for creep-heroes.
    • Since non-hero units do not have levels like heroes, only the base damage is applied.
  • Bonus damage of 20% of the target’s maximum health is applied on the following hero levels:
    • LVL? Death Level 1: 6/12/18/24/25
    • LVL? Death Level 2: 5/10/15/20/25
    • LVL? Death Level 3: 4/8/12/16/20/24/25
    • LVL? Death Level 4: 3/6/9/12/15/18/21/24/25
  • This ability got reworked into the current Scorched Earth in the 6.66 gameplay patch.
  • The regeneration and speed bonus are provided by separate auras. Their buffs linger for 2-4 seconds.
  • Multiple overlapping instances do not stack.
  • Deals damage in 1 second intervals, starting 1 second after cast, resulting in 20 instances.
  • Can deal up to 20/40/60/80 damage to a unit when it stays within the area for the full duration (before reductions).
  • Can heal up to 22-24/44-48/66-72/88-96 health to Doom and his owned units if they stay within range for the full duration (varying values caused by the buff lingering).

E:60 Recap: Julian Edelman, Meet the Mets & eSports

E SPN’s E:60 explores the rise of Julian Edelman, introduces the Mets power pitchers and explores some of biggest payouts in eSports gaming competitions.

Julian Edelman

Julian Edelman is one of Tom Brady’s go-to receivers on their New England Patriots team that as of Sunday is now 6-0. Edelman talked about being close to Brady and doing errands for him if he needed anything.

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski joked about being able to see Edelman do all of the little errands.

Edelman was so dedicated to his quarterback that he moved out to Los Angeles simply because he heard that Brady and a lot of his receivers went there in the off-season. He simply said that he went out there just incase Brady needed him.

It took him four years of dedication to form his bromance with Brady and together they have become a pretty successful one-two punch for New England.

“He had me at hello,” said Edelman.

Edelman also talked about religion and managed to continue coming with the jokes. When asked if he considered himself Jewish, he replied, “I consider myself, Jew-ish.” Despite his dedication to Brady and calling his quarterback a role model, Edelman still broke into a hilarious impression of Brady.

The voice was incredibly high-pitched, almost as if Edelman was equating Brady to Mickey Mouse. If that isn’t enough, Bill Belichick is also a victim of the Edelman impressions.

“His father drilled him every day, seven days a week, season to season, football to basketball to baseball, before practice, after practice, on weekends,” according to ESPN.

“It was agility drills, conditioning drills, then 200 spirals or 200 jump shots or 200 ground balls.”

His father drilled him to the point of tears but Edelman pushed back because it was the only way he could get past it.

At 5-foot-2, Edelman was overlooked even after his stellar accomplishments in high school, his junior year in college and at Kent State University, according to the report. He was once a quarterback and got into it with his receiver who had been giving him crap the entire way.

The confrontation started a brawl and as ESPN put it, it was all in Edelman’s highly competitive nature.

Edelman was once plagued with injuries one of which was his broken foot during what was supposed to be his breakout year.

Edelman was mentored by Wes Welker who during his time on the Patriots, was one of Brady’s go-to receivers. Edelman has assumed that role and is continuing to help his team dominate during the 2015-2016 NFL season.

Edelman is 5-foot-10 and one of the most talked about wide-receivers in the NFL. He still has the spirit of competition in him and attests much of the man he has become to his father and his mother.

Meet the Mets

The New York Mets’ last World Series title was won in 1986. 29 years later they are back in the World Series and the only team that stands in the way of them recapturing another World Series is the Kansas City Royals.

Their last trip to the playoffs was in 2006 and the team has seen huge changes over the past couple of years.

The matchup has been highly regarded as a good old fashioned pitch-off and E:60 introduced the Mets’ power pitchers Matt Harvey, Jacob deGrom, Noah Snydergaard and Steven Matz.

The unit is being compared to the Atlanta Braves pitching in the 90’s and the guys are pretty confident in their ability to get the job done.

“Noah’s throwing 100, Harvey’s throwing 98, Jake’s throwing 98 and it’s like everyday they can’t breathe,” said Matz when asked about their comparison to the braves.

How to Play DotA

Updated: March 29, 2019

Defense of the Ancients, or DotA, is a map in the game Warcraft 3. It was created by players and is arguably the most popular custom map ever made. It combines strategy, skill, teamwork, and a little luck. DotA is a game of infinite depth and complexity and as a result, it can be a little difficult for beginners to get the hang of it. With a little practice and some helpful tips, however, even a beginner can start succeeding in DotA in no time.

Steps

Video .

  • Despite popular belief, pushers win games; not killers. “Pushing” is the act of killing enemy creeps and destroying enemy towers in your way to the enemy base. The enemy will do the same, so keep an eye on your towers at all times.
  • If your hero is still weak or does not have any strong items do not focus on killing opposing heroes, thus focus on destroying towers and killing creeps.
  • Learn how to “farm”-farming is the act of killing neutral creeps in your farm area or that of opponents area. Dota 2 watch Learn how to farm early specially if your hero is a late gamer (strong during late game). Avo >

Warnings

  • Because you are a newer player, many people will be hostile towards you for not being ‘good’. Don’t let this discourage you, they were beginners once, too. Just ask for help nicely, and cooperate to be a team player.
  • Do not leave a game once it has started. This will certainly anger your teammates.
  • If the game says banlist in the title, or you see an apple join and leave a lot when you are waiting for the game to start, do not quit, or feed the enemy, you will be banned, and you will be unable to join a host’s game if he has banned you. However, this will not be a problem unless you are banned from a large number of players or by an Approved Host. In public games getting banned is usually not a big worry, as Approved Hosts rarely host public games. TDA and other league or high-level games are almost always hosted by an Approved Host, and it isn’t a good >

Dota 2 Hotkey Optimization Gu >

Dota 2 Hotkey Optimization Guide by ChaQ

After writing my “Advanced solo mid guide” I’ve received a lot of questions about hotkeys. People wanted to know how to choose them, which settings are the best and what hotkeys I use myself. To answer all of them, here’s a short guide to choosing your hotkeys:

As I said previously, I’m a big fan of optimising and making your play more efficient. But how can you be efficient when you keep missclicking spells and items or not hitting hotkeys that are too spread out? Yes, you can’t.

I’ll state this clear: i will NOT tell you what hotkeys you should use, if you feel comfortable with legacy hotkeys where spells have their own hotkeys scattered all over the keyboard, go for it. I WILL tell you though some general rules you could follow, and how I discovered my ideal combination.

To start off, there are 4 most common hotkey settings:

1. QWER
2. ASDF
3. ZXCV
4. Legacy

As you can see you can manually select your favorite hotkey setting from the list in DotA 2 options:

If you’re not a DotA veteran, I strongly suggest using the 1, 2 or 3 combination. Legacy hotkeys are for people that are so used to hotkeys from W3 DotA that it would be simply too hard for them to convert to any of above combinations.

Now, to the more advanced things:
Most of the people set their hotkeys to their hero spells and inventory, and that’s it.

In my opinion, if you want to play better and waste less time, you SHOULD have hotkeys for:

1. Quickbuy – allows you to buy an item that you “shift queued” instantly. Insanely useful when waiting for important items like bottle.
2. Purchase sticky – In your settings you can select one item that can be bought after pressing this hotkey. The most useful one is probably tp scroll.
3. Control groups – at least 3
4. Courier, all courier commands – tick “mirror hero hotkeys” in your settings
5. “Missing” – message to allies, really useful in pubs
6. Binded camera position hotkeys (rune spots)
7. Scoreboard – for constantly checking enemy levels
8. Shop – no further explanation needed
9. Show names/hero icons on minimap (default alt)
10. Commands: stop, hold position, move
11. Glyph

Other general hotkey rules:

  1. Have hotkey for EVERY inventory slot. As you progress in skill as a player you’ll notice that situations where you have 6 active items in your inventory are really common and not having one of them binded proves to be a serious disadvantage.
  2. Avoid using alt or ctrl+hotkey for inventory hotkeys, this makes things really hard when trying to play heroes like tinker effectively.
  3. Start putting items into the same slot every game. That way you’ll never have to look at your inventory before casting a tp scroll or magic wand. For me TP is always at G and wand at E.
  4. Do not put items that require extremely fast reaction on slots that are somehow harder to access and/or require you to change position of your hard before using. Example: blink dagger is way more effective on “Q” than on “Space”.
  5. If you think you have all your hotkeys mastered and there’s nothing you can improve on – turn on “Shop always uses hotkeys” setting on. Memorizing all the shop hotkeys brings your mechanics to a next level, allowing you to do flashy plays like upgrading the courier with 2 button as someone dives to kill it.
  6. Do NOT be afraid of changing your hotkeys to something more efficient. For example I’ve always had my hero on “1″ and courier on “2″. Then, when i decided to play meepo my control groups could only start from “3″. That made me missmicro a lot by accidentally selecting the courier. I decided to change the hotkey to ” ` “, it took me well over 3 weeks of missclicking and never getting my items delivered but when I learned it, it helped my play immensely. Think of it as of performing a somersault. If you fall on the ground first time doing it, it doesnt mean you shouldn’t do this at all. It’s just a matter of practice.

When changing hotkeys you know you’re gonna fail a lot, but what matters is the final result – you playing faster and more effectively.

For those unfamiliar with camera binding, the commands are:

Top Rune – bind “yourkey” “dota_camera_setpos -2273.898682 1232.745483 982.072876″

Bottom Rune – bind “yourkey” “dota_camera_setpos 3035.773438 -2972.680176 966.072937″
