Hello GG (guys and girls)! I see you have came across my guide for Pudge! Pudge used to be my main hero, so I decided to make a guide on him. I would greatly appreciate constructive criticism! If you want to downvote, please comment the reason.
Thanks!
– NapalmKing

Pudge is a durable roamer who snacks on squishy heroes. Your success with this hero depends greatly on your skill, as his main skill is a skillshot.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
– Is very durable
– Great ganker
– Very nice disable
– Not very item-dependant

Cons:
– Mana Issues Early and Mid
– Slow movement speed
– Level-dependant (needs level advantage)
– Hook is a skillshot

Skills

This skill is what defines Pudge.

Pudge launches his meat hook at the desired location, pulling in whatever it hits (yes, you can hook allies). If the hook catches an enemy, it deals 360 damage (at level 4).

The hook speed is relatively slow, so the trick to this skill is to predict your enemy’s movement. Almost nobody can get this straight away, so it requires a bit of practice.

Hooking your teammates can be life-saving or even game-changing. Use this to your advantage, and pull in your friends if they are stuck in sticky situations.
Rot(W):

When activated, Rot will damage enemies in a 250 radius. It is a toggle, and requires no mana. Dota 2 anime pudge item The catch is that it will also damage you, so you cannot leave it on forever. Rot deal 100 magical damage per second.

This is very useful in many ways. Pudge’s Hook + Rot combo is extremely deadly, and you can also use Rot to deny yourself (committing suicide). Denying yourself means that the enemy will not be able to gain gold and experience from your death.
Flesh Heap(E):

This is Pudge’s passive ability. At level 4, it gives Pudge 16% magic resistance. The other thing is that, every time an enemy hero dies within a 450 radius, Pudge permanently gains 1.8 strength.
Dismember(R):

Pudge’s Ultimate. This ability disables the enemy target, and deals 175 damage per second for 3 seconds. This skill is most often used after a hook. Using the Hook + Rot + Dismember combo, basically secures you a kill on squishy or under-leveled targets. If you do the math, the hook deals 360 damage, Dismember will deal 525 (175 x 3) damage, and Rot will deal 330 (110 x 3) damage, so you can deal 1215 damage!
This is upgradable with Aghanim’s Scepter.

Play Style

Level 1 – 5 (Early Game)

The desired lane for Pudge is solo middle, but he can also work on the side lanes too.
The reason I upgrade the hook at level 1 is for those level 1 teamfights or first blood attemps. Other than that, avoid using your hook early game, as it will use up most of your mana, unless you can secure a kill. When you get Rot, use it to harass the enemy and/or to get more farm. Like stated before, don’t try to go for kills since level 1 – 2 hook does not have much range, nor does it have good damage.

Level 6 – 11 (Mid Game)

This is when Pudge shines. Once you aquired your Ultimate and your Hook maxed out (at level 7), you can start to gank. Buy wards if you want more success with hooks.

Level 11 – 25 (Late Game)

If the game continues this long, grab an Aghanims Scepter, and keep roaming and snatching enemies out of lane!

Mineski. Jay: A team must be stable and united

In an exclusive interview with GosuGamers, Mineski Jay talks about the struggles in his team and the lack of tournaments in SEA division, he also talks about the situation of gamers in the Philippines and the upcoming The International Dota 2 Championships 2014.

Hey Jay, how are you guys doing in Malaysia? How’s boot camp?

We have a schedule here so we have a specific time to wake up; we eat then date some teams to train during the afternoon and then, discussions. We’ll do the same thing afterwards: training with other teams then discussions again. So far, we’re still trying to figure out how to get along.

How is the training there compared to the Philippines?

The training here is very different compared to the Philippines because we have no training schedule there due to internet connections.

Who are you guys scrimming with?

We’re currently scrimming with Titan, Invasion and Arrow gaming. So far, it’s equal.

How’s the team work so far during training?

We’re still trying to figure out the best roles for each other.

So what positions are likely to change?

Probably one support will play carry to try things out until we figure out what’s missing or lacking in the current roster or line-up. We’re still working on it.

Any thoughts about your team’s constant changes in line-ups especially with Julz and Joven no longer included in the current roster?

It’s maybe because the Philippines has a bad environment for gaming. I’ll just say that a team must be stable and united first before they can become a good team. And I do think that our country kind of lack decent players.

Your team just got eliminated from the ACG SEA invitational, what do you think are the team’s lapses and how do you guys plan to avoid it in the future?

We may have lacked preparations especially during the past matches, we’re really unprepared. I also think that it has something to do with the roster changes. We need to sort it out first to play better.

Anyway, what is Mushi like as a coach and what were the insights he shared with you guys?

Well, I can’t say much but he shared us about the hardships in his team and how they managed to cope with it. He shared those with us and the rest is a secret, haha. Mineski jay highlights dota 2

SEA lack tournaments compared to other regions, how is your team affected by it?

Yeah, SEA does lack tournaments compared to EU and China and we’re deeply affected by it. Due to the lack of tournaments, some of the players don’t have the means to train harder so they tend to slack off. They don’t have that much reason to train, after all. And gamers here in the Philippines has a different mindset from the other countries.

How is it different?

There are players who would want to be a professional gamer for as long as they can, like a long term dedication for the sport. While there are others who just play for fame and salary. But like our management always say: win in a huge tourney, you wouldn’t need salary.

What are your expectations with the upcoming TI and what do you think about Mineski competing in it?

I think that it will be good but I don’t think that our team would get an invite at all. I’m not expecting it to happen yet, maybe in the future. But we’ll still try to compete in it—if not a direct invite, maybe in the qualifiers. We’ll do our best.

Although, right now I just want to focus on the Philippines. Our country really lack good players, there aren’t much that are good enough for the competitive scene.

How do you see Mineski and SEA DotA in the future?

I don’t know, really. Haha. Mineski jay highlights dota 2 We’ll just go where the road takes us. We’ll just go with the flow and see what happens. All of it will still depend on the tournaments if there would be a lot of them that we can compete in. and also how often those tournament are, plus the amount of cash prize. We’ll see what the future leads us.

So what have you guys liked about Malaysia so far?

Their ISP is great, there isn’t much lag here so it’s good. It’s a nice country. The view is okay and the food is fine too–pretty normal, although we eat a lot of chicken. Eating too much chicken is kinda tiring, though. Hahaha. Mineski jay highlights dota 2

We thank you for accepting the interview, we appreciate it. Last question: any shoutouts?

Shoutout to my family and my girlfriend, Shaira Mae Adriano. I also like to say hi to the fans who support us and to the Mineski Family. Thank you.

CodenameE’s guide to Hard Carry definition

CodenameE’s guide to Hard Carry definition

1. What is a Hard Carry?
2. Why does a team pick a hard carry?
3. Why are hard carries so popular?
4. List of popular Hard carries EDIT: In no particular order
5. Conclusion

What is a Hard Carry?

Hard carries are considered the most powerful and dangerous heroes in Dota able to become extremely scary in the late game. They usually are Agility heroes which copliments their tendency for insane DPS through sheer auto attacks.
In the early game and the biggest part of mid game, they are still pretty vulnerable and not as impactful. This is directly connected to the fact that their farm is intensive throughout the WHOLE game. No hard carry should wander around when no teamfights or pushes occur. They must constantly and quickly farm to get their big items and get powerful enough to “carry” their team.
Although technically any hero can become a carry in that sense, hard carries are those heroes who are particularly better at it but have no other significant contribution. A popular semi-carry like Axe is often utilised as an initiator. Same goes for Kunkka who has a great teamfight ultimate that matters more than him being really farmed. Hard carries though have almost no other purpose than becoming powerful and dominating teamfights.
Carrying your team means that when your team cannot deal with the enemy directly, you take the responsibility to clean the house. The hardest of carries like Spectre or Anti-Mage are known for enormous team wipes in the late game being able to lead their team in a teamfight through sheer right clicking power. Of course, that doesn’t mean they are invincible.
And that’s pretty much the tone as most hard carries have this vulnerability which is more or less dealt with by the very late game but is very obvious, particularly in the early game. This has led to a very common pattern for most hard carries of “2 active and 2 passive abilities”. The two passives usually provide protection and a scaling damage-offensive ability. The two actives provide a versatile spell to help them survive and farm more efficiently and another spell that is usually a nuke or more offensive spell to allow their attacking prowess to shine. This pattern isn’t a law as several hard carries stray a little outside this pattern in some points, but it shows what a hard carry is all about: remaining alive, natural vulnerability, emphasis on constant farm, scaling power and influence.
Hard carries are a risk and that is why they are not seen a lot in the competitive scene. A game doesn’t always go to the 35-40 minute mark or more and teams are increasingly more focused on ganking which is a hard carry’s worst nightmare because either he will die or miss on farm significantly. That’s why Anti-Mage and Alchemist are some of the most picked hard carries in the pro scene since they are notorious for their insane farming speed that allows them to bounce back if they are denied farm.

Why does a team pick a hard carry?

In games where the strategy isn’t offensive or focused on pushing, hard carries are a guarantee to victory as the clock ticking is their ally. A well-farmed hard carry can turn the tides of battle with just his presence and particularly in the late-late game, hard carries set the tempo.
They get harder and harder to kite or focus, and if they allow you space to invade them, they punish you immediately. Nothing is scarier than a farmed hard carry late game and you should either want him dead or out of a teamfight.
But as stated before, waiting until the game reaches the late game to allow the hard carry to shine can be a mistake as the enemy team might end the game early because of the very reason you want it to last longer. And their line-ups will reveal their tendency to do so.

Why are hard carries so popular?

In the friendly discussions on “who is the best hero to play” it often (mistakenly) comes to “who is better at murdering your face”. Hard carries are the best heroes at that despite their desparate need for farm and levels for that and that’s why many people either love them or absolutely hate them (Cancer Lancer anybody?).
As their name suggests, they are also pretty hard to play as last-hitting and positioning are increasingly more important and demanded for their success. This difficulty yet lack of complexity (unlike Meepo ‘s micro-management or Invoker ‘s spell combinations) makes them the most popular choice for the majority of experienced players in the community. The fact that they are the most likely heroes to get a rampage and a HOLY **** streak as well makes them pretty popular for newer players too, who want to be in the center of attention.

List of popular Hard carries EDIT: In no particular order

1) Anti-Mage (Do I need to say more?)
2) Phantom Lancer (My personal favorite, he is just plain awesome. Period)
3) Spectre (Hard as an old piece of oak)
4) Ursa (Many people disagree but his scaling DPS through his tankiness has hard carry written all over it)
5) Alchemist (Give him more gold!)
6) Lifestealer (Not the hardest of carries but yeah he is a tough guy)
7) Viper (He can become a nasty carry if built tanky, but it’s still debatable whether he is that hard of a carry)
8) Phantom Assassin (Crit queen!)
9) Faceless Void (The moniker for the most difficult of late-late hard carries)
10) Dragon Knight (He is kinda debatable because of how early in the game he can peak)
11) Sniper (Kinda poor in general but hey if he gets his farm..)
12) Drow Ranger (Hard to stop but easy to take down also not the best of hard carries out there)
13) Luna (Squishy but not to be underestimated-especially with those Moon Glaives )
14) Medusa (She is ugly as hell but she is so hard as the stone she will turn her enemies into)
15) Morphling (Well, he is Morphling :P)
16) Outworld Devourer (His unusual dependency on intelligence items only makes him quite special-and more easily countered though-but the scaling he has along with his pure damage potential is really scary late game)
17) Shadow Fiend (The ultimate farmer yet the ultimate fragile hard carry since he can easily lose much of his damage output and advantage by just one death. His ultimate is unusually powerful for a hard carry)

Conclusion

Whether a hero is a hard carry or not comes pretty much to playing them in different builds to see what goes and how it goes so my theory around it is pretty much a general line of the current metagame rather than an unbreakable law on which hard carries should be built.
I hope you enjoyed my gu >

Dota 2 System Requirements

Dota 2 System Requirements (2019) – full specs, system checker and the gaming PC setup you need: Can I Run Dota 2?

These are the Dota 2 system requirements
(minimum)

  • Memory:4 GB
  • Graphics Card:NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT
  • CPU:Intel Pentium D 915
  • Dota 2 File Size:15 GB
  • OS:Windows 7 or newer

Automatically test your computer against Dota 2 system requirements. Check if your PC can run the game with our free, easy-to-use detection tool or enter your system manually.

Can I Run Dota 2?

To play Dota 2 you will need a minimum CPU equivalent to an Intel Pentium D 915. The minimum memory requirement for Dota 2 is 4 GB of RAM installed in your computer. In terms of game file size, you will need at least 15 GB of free disk space available. Provided that you have at least an NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT graphics card you can play the game.

Even while using a high end PC, you could still experience minor lag or FPS issues while playing Dota 2. To open up an FPS counter inside of Dota 2, simply open Dashboard > Gear > Options > To Advanced Options, and then enable the “Display Network Information” this will show your FPS and your ping. The quick and easy way to improve FPS is to try using Fullscreen mode instead of windowed borderless, this will completely focus your computer on the game only. You could also increase the CPU priority of Dota 2, this can be done in the steam menu properties, once you are here click on “Set launch options” and simply type in – high to increase the priority of the game. Another method for increasing performance is to lower your gameplay resolution. If you are using 1080p try lowering to 720p, doing this will mean that the game will require less pixels allowing a better performance for the pixels that are being shown.

As a competitive online game, frame rate is very important in Dota 2. If you can’t hit a consistent 60 frames per second, especially during heated moments of combat where the particle effects fill the screen, you’re going to have more trouble reacting to the game and keeping track of activity. However, you don’t want to crank the settings too low if you can help it. Turning off all the graphics options can result in visual elements blending together, and if you can’t pick out an important detail from the surroundings it can mean the difference between victory and defeat.

Turning off the atmospheric fog, ambient creatures and world lighting can help improve frame rate without any significant loss in visual quality. If you don’t mind certain areas being a little rough around the edges, turning off anti-aliasing, specular lighting, and high quality water can net you a big boost in performance. If you’re still struggling to get the frame rate you want, you can turn down shadow quality and render quality – though be warned that this will effect the visuals considerably. Unless you’re experiencing a lot of screen tearing you should keep Vsync turned off, as it can cause visual and input lag. Lastly, disabling the steam overlay can also help considerably.

Dota 2 will run on PC system with Windows 7 or newer and upwards. Additionally it has Mac and Linux versions.

Looking for an upgrade? Try our easy to use Dota 2 set up guides to find the best, cheapest cards. Filter for Dota 2 graphics card comparison and CPU compare. We’ll help you find the best deal for the right gear to run the game.

How to Level Up in Dota Underlords

This guide will teach you how to level up in Dota Underlords. We also list down ways to gain experience in the game and how much EXP is neede to level up for each level.

Leveling up in Dota Underlords will give you a huge advantage against your enemies—it allows you to deploy more hero units and increases the chance to get rare pieces from the shop.

Read ’til the end if you want to be the next Auto Chess Grandmaster!

Why you need to Gain EXP and Level Up Fast

In Dota Underlords, gaining experience will increase your level.

Leveling up has the following benefits:

  • Increased Unit Cap, so you can put more Hero units (pieces) on the board
  • Higher chances of getting rare, powerful units in the Shop during Preparation phase

These benefits will give you more room to execute your strategies and use Alliance synergies to gain advantage against your opponents.

You can check your enemies’ levels on the left side of the screen. The small number next to their names is their current level.

Keep an eye on this, as you don’t want to be facing opponents with a larger army than you!

How to Level Up in Dota Underlords

In order to level up and increase your unit limit, you need to earn enough experience points needed for the next level.

Here’s the EXP table to see how much experience you need to earn for each level:

  • Level 1 – Default
  • Level 2 – 1 EXP
  • Level 3 – 1 EXP
  • Level 4 – 2 EXP
  • Level 5 – 4 EXP
  • Level 6 – 8 EXP
  • Level 7 – 16 EXP
  • Level 8 – 24 EXP
  • Level 9 – 32 EXP
  • Level 10 – 40 EXP

As you can see from the list, more and more EXP points is needed to reach the next level as your level increases.

How to Gain EXP in Dota Underlords

There are only two ways to gain experience in Dota Underlords:

  1. Gain 1 EXP at the start of each round
  2. Buy 4 EXP for 5 Gold at any time

If you have extra Gold to spare, you can use it to buy instant experience points and speed up your leveling.

Just click on the experience button on the upper-right to spend 5 Gold and gain instant 4 EXP.

When is the best time to buy XP and Level Up?

One common question is: when is the best time to buy experience from the shop?

Here are some pointers:

  1. Do you have enough Gold to reach the next level?
  2. Do you have an important unit to add that gives you a significant advantage? (e. g. strong unit or activates a synergy)
  3. Do you have lots of excess cash?
  4. Are you losing and about to run out of HP?

There’s no reason for you to buy EXP if you can only afford half the EXP needed to reach the next level. Better keep that Gold in your stash to earn interest or spend on units. That is unless you have more than 50 Gold and have no other better use for your Gold, then just prepare your XP for the next level up on the next round.

Try to make quick mental calculations to compute how much Gold you need to get to the next level. The formula is:

Gold needed to level up = ((Total XP needed for next level – Current XP) / 4) * 5

So for example if you have 20/32 EXP, the calculation is: ((32 – 20) / 4) * 5 = 15 Gold needed for three purchases of 4 EXP.

Rounds 5 and 9 are common rounds to buy EXP to level up to Lv 5 and 6, respectively.

Conclusion

In Dota Underlords, the key is how to manage your resources wisely. We highly recommend not to spend too much Gold on leveling up during the early rounds—focus on building your army first and let your natural XP do the leveling up for you!

As you master playing the game you’ll learn to balance spending Gold between buying heroes and buying extra XP points for leveling up.

The International in Vancouver? Valve may move huge ‘Dota 2’ esports event from Seattle to Canada

by Taylor Soper on December 28, 2017 at 10:26 am December 28, 2017 at 11:20 am

The International could be heading north.

Valve isn’t yet talking publicly about its plans, but several clues point to the video-game giant moving its huge Dota 2 esports tournament from its backyard in Seattle across the border to Vancouver, B. C.

The International is one of the largest esports events in the U. S., drawing sold-out crowds that pack KeyArena to watch the world’s top Dota 2 players compete for a $24.7 million prize pool. The tournament, which started in Germany six years ago, was previously held at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall before Valve moved it in 2014 to a larger venue at KeyArena. Dota 2 daily top 10 weekly 2014 super

Now the tournament may be heading to Canada, bringing with it tourism revenue and a growing fanbase that pays hundreds of dollars for tickets.

Initial clues popped up in October, when a stadium banner ad for The International ran at Rogers Arena in Vancouver during a TSN hockey report.

This week, when asked about the availability of tickets for The International in 2018, a KeyArena ticketing agent said the event wouldn’t be returning to KeyArena next year due to the pending renovation, which is set to begin in the fall of 2018.

Earlier this year, Valve co-founder Gabe Newell said The International could be moved out of the country as a result of President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown. Competing teams come to Seattle for The International from all over the world; the same goes for spectators.

Valve, based in Bellevue, Wash., didn’t respond to multiple requests for comment. The City of Seattle and a representative for Seattle Center declined to comment, referring our inquiry to a Valve representative.

If Valve is indeed moving the event to Vancouver, then Rogers Arena — home of the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks — would be a logical place to hold The International, with a capacity of 18,630.

KeyArena, which holds about 17,000, has hosted the event for the past four years. But the city recently approved a new $660 million deal to renovate KeyArena, with construction set to begin in October 2018.

The International is typically held in the summer, though it’s possible that KeyArena renovation leader Oak View Group wants to close down the venue before it officially begins the reconstruction.

A quick walk around The International this year showed how people travel from all over the world, from Minnesota to Singapore, just to attend the event. Tickets sell out in minutes. It’s a big deal for the city, bringing additional tourism money to the urban core. It’s part of a still-nascent esports industry that is growing by the day.

“I came to see my favorite team, Evil Geniuses, play and win,” Zac Mishler, who hails from Bloomington, Minn., told GeekWire in August.

Those not familiar with esports may wonder why people travel from halfway across the globe and pay big bucks to watch other people play video games. But for some Dota 2 fans, attending The International can be a life-changing experience. That’s what happened to Kyra Slovacek, who came back to Seattle from her hometown of Boulder, Colo., after checking out the event last year for the first time.

“It was the best trip I ever went on,” she told GeekWire. “I really had no idea how big the Dota 2 community was until I came to The International and saw the line wrapped all around Seattle Center and sat in the arena. Dota 2 daily top 10 weekly 2014 super It was unbelievable.”

Spectators watch the professionals battle out at center court, where the teams compete in two pits with glass windows. The International has a sports-like feel, from the raucous crowd to the broadcast booths to the press rows to the festivities outside KeyArena. Dota 2 daily top 10 weekly 2014 super Valve streams the live action to four huge screens inside KeyArena, and any time there’s a heated battle, the crowd roars — the decibel level certainly matches, if not surpasses, what you’ll experience at any other sporting event.

The prize pool for The International has grown from $10.9 million in 2014 to $24.7 million in 2017, the largest ever in esports history.

Speaking at the GeekWire Sports Tech Summit this past June, Oak View Group CEO Tim Leiweke said that esports is on the agenda for the redeveloped KeyArena, which could also house an NHL team. He expects to host 20 esports events per year at the arena once the reconstruction is complete by October 2020.

“Do I think 18,000 people come into each and every one of those 20 nights to watch people play games?” Leiweke said in June. “I’m not sure it’ll be 20,000, but look, if you do 5,000-to-8,000, and that keeps your building busy, and those are 20 nights that you can schedule around your anchor tenant and your concert business, I think it’s a fantastic addition completely driven by technology.”

Dota 2 [ edit ]

Sumail first started playing Dota when he was eight years old. When his family moved from Pakistan to Rosemont, Illinois in 2012 he began playing in the North American Elite League. Sumail quickly became the highest rated player in the in-house league, establishing himself as one of the best upcoming talents in the North American scene. [1] His play was so impressive that UNiVeRsE pushed for EG to recruit him in January of 2015. Sumail’s LAN debut was at the Dota 2 League Season 5 finals in Las Vegas on January 6th 2015. The team performed poorly at the event, in part to lack luster performance by Sumail. Critics began to question whether he deserved a roster spot on a team like Evil Geniuses.

In February, Sumail would get a chance to redeem himself as EG participated in the Dota 2 Asia Championships. In his first match of the tournament, Sumail introduced his Euls Scepter of Divinity Shadow Fiend build, which would quickly become part of the meta for the tournament. EG’s captain ppd entered the tournament with a focus on drafting around Sumail, in order to ensure he was comfortable in game. This proved to be quite successful as EG found themselves in the top 4, with an 11-4 record, after the group stage. EG stormed through the upper bracket beating Na’Vi and Big God, but were soundly defeated 2-0 by VG in the upper bracket finals. After a 2-0 victory over the tournament favorite Team Secret in the lower bracket finals, EG had a rematch with VG in the finals. In the finals Sumail established himself as one of the best mid players in the world with his stellar play. Sumail’s most notable performance of the tournament was in Game 3 of the finals, where he found himself with a 0-3-0 score on Storm Spirit before the three minute mark. Undeterred by the poor start, Sumail quickly took control of the game and led his team to victory, while finishing with a score of 17-7-11. Sumail’s breakout performance at DAC led to widespread recognition as a young prodigy in both the Chinese and Western Dota scenes, and secured a reputation as one of the best Storm Spirit players in the game. Sumail helped EG establish themselves as the best team in the beginning of 2015, along with securing $1,284,158 USD for the team.

EG entered The International 2015 as one of the two favorites along with Team Secret; EG had finished 2nd behind Secret at each of the previous two LAN tournaments, The Summit 3 and ESL One Frankfurt 2015. Team Secret finished in 8th place, leaving the way to the championship open for EG. However, EG experienced a setback of their own after losing the Upper Bracket Finals 0-2 to the surprise wildcard powerhouse CDEC Gaming. EG defeated LGD Gaming in the Lower Bracket Finals and prevailed 3-1 in a rematch with CDEC in the Grand Finals to claim the International 2015 championship. Sumail’s play was particularly noteworthy in both the Lower Bracket Finals and the Grand Finals – Game 1 of the Grand Finals was eerily reminiscent of Sumail’s experience in DAC, as Sumail died 3 times on his signature Storm Spirit in the opening moments of the game, but proceeded to complete the fastest Orch >[2]

Following the tournament saw the departure of Aui_2000 for Arteezy. He finished second place in the MLG 2015 World Finals and came third in Valve’s inaugural announcement of the Majors system, the Frankfurt Major 2015, losing to potential champions, OG in the lower bracket finals. Ending the 2015 calendar year, ppd’s decision to draft the Shadow Fiend for sumaiL in the grand finals of the The Summit 4 saw the team making an eventual comeback of 3-2, winning the tournament.

In 2016, SumaiL started off in a slow start and finished third in the Shanghai Major. However after numerous roster changes throughout the year saw his team exit in the early stages of premier tournaments. After the announcement of being directly invited to The International 2016, saw a roster change to occur with the addition of Zai and Universe, causing the team to have to play in the open qualifiers. After qualifying, he attended The International 2016 for the second successive time under Evil Geniuses and came third place in the tournament. After the extended post-TI break, he travelled to China to compete in the MDL Autumn 2016 and came first place. [3]

KingSurf. International [ edit ]

After being teamless for a period of time, Puppey attended DreamHack Summer 2009 as a stand-in for Mouz, where they placed 5th. This is where the famous Puppey – KuroKy “bromance” began. [1] The 7th of June the ex-Virtus. pro team under the leadership of “joLiE” goes under the sponsorship of “KingSurf”, getting a new tag – “Ks. int”. 18 year old Puppey was invited to the team as an experienced player.

Their first tournament was ASUS Summer Open 2008 on the 24th of August. A loss to “Rush3D” in the finals and a 2nd place finish wasn’t too bad for a newly formed team. A week after the loss on ASUS some players left the team, or went inactive. This led to the merging of two teams – KS. int and WG. [1] The new team tested their strength right away, in the East Europe Dota Championship where they faced “Rush3D” in the finals. “KS. int” had their revenge, but unfortunately it wasn’t an important tournament and the prize money was scarce. 2009 was approaching, after more roster changes the team still had no stability, or worthwhile results. Na`Vi – new home [ edit ]

Na`Vi’s roster would be: ArtStyle, Dendi, XBOCT, Puppey, and LighTofHeaveN. The reason for Puppey to leave GG. net was the lack of LAN event participation. In all this time GG. net didn’t attend a single LAN event, whereas any given CIS team attended at least 3 for the same time. Puppey’s first tournament under Na`Vi tag was the ICS#8 playoffs. In the winner bracket semi-final Na`vi met GG. net and stomped them in two quick games. Na`Vi took first place over MYM (2-0), taking their first win in the first online tournament with the new roster. On the 13th of August the team played in ASUS OPEN Summer 2011. It was their first LAN – and their first win. Next up would be The International. The first Dota 2 tournament – The International, with the unbelievable prizepool of $1.6 mil, was coming. Na`Vi got the betakeys required to play the game only 3 weeks before the tournament. (Puppey interview before The International)

Dota 2 [ edit ]

With Na’vi [ edit ]

Puppey made his first steps into the Dota 2 competitive scene with Natus Vincere among the likes of Dendi and Artstyle, as they competed in The International 2011. They went undefeated throughout the whole tournament, winning the unprecedented $1,000,000 USD grand prize. They also won ESWC 2011 and took home $12,000 USD. [2] In both of these tournaments, he demonstrated fantastic prediction with Chen’s ability to send heroes back to base. Puppey became Natus Vincere’s Captain after Artstyle’s departure from the team in October 2011. After The International 2011 Puppey went on to captain Na’vi to a successful second place in both The International 2012 and The International 2013, and multiple other high place finishes. During the run-up to the The International 2014 it became clear that Na’vi wasn’t the dominant force it once was. They finished TI2014 in seventh place, their worst result in a TI.

He was then released from Na`Vi on August 20, 2014. [3] One week later, on August 27th, it was revealed that Puppey, along with Kuroky, Fly, BigDaddy, and s4, had formed Team Secret.

Team Secret [ edit ]

Hailed by many as a super team, Puppey joined Team Secret as their captain. After a rough start and some roster switches for the new super team they got their first LAN tournament win at the The Summit 3. Team Secret looked really dominant the months before The International 2015, but only managed to finish seventh.

After The International 2015 Team Secret split up, with only Puppey remaining. Puppey then formed a new team around himself. The new Secret was able to win the MLG World Finals against TI5 champions, Evil Geniuses as well as taking the Nanyang Dota Championship from Vici Gaming and taking runner-up at the Frankfurt Major. The team however, faltered at the end of the year with an early departure from the World Cyber Arena 2015. At early 2016, the team’s mediocre results marched on with a 5th-6th finish at Starladder and a 7th-8th finish at the MarsTV Dota League. The team, however, made a large resurgence by winning the Shanghai Major early into the year. After a last place finish at the Dota Pit, in a controversial decision, the team opted to kick both w33 and MiSeRy to welcome UNiVeRse and Arteezy.

The shuffle did not have the intended results as the team had a second-to-last placing at ESL One Manila and a last place finish at the Manila Major. After which, the team traded UNiVeRse for BuLba, and later received Aui 2000 as a coach. The team seemed to have recovered with a second place finish at Starladder, but they were quickly shot back down to the bottom with a last place finish at The International 2016.

The team later disbanded a second time with all members and coaches, save for Puppey and Pieliedie, leaving. Although there was a major setback, the team was able to rebound when it received Midone, Forev and MP from the post-International shuffle. The reformed team was able to take top 4 the MarsTV Dota League as well as 1st at the Faceit Invitational. In the end, though, the team failed to qualify for the Boston Major, and Forev later departed and was replaced by Khezu. Team Secret would later go on to take first at ROG MASTERS.
