Compendium No Trade Period

I wan’t to buy a 2014 Compendium for each of my RL friends who plays Dota 2 but I’ve seen complaints about not being able to trade within a certain time period after purchase .

Anyone know how long this time period is or if it has been removed for Compendium purchases ?

Also this would my first purchase on Steam so could it possibly that which is the cause for the waiting period between trade windows?

As far as i know, its not tradeable for “New credit cards or PP users” since i’ve bought more then 40 compendiums and never had an issue with trade. So If u have new CC or u think that ur pruchase will bi limited, try then to buy keys and trade compendium @ dota2lounge for 7k.
Regards.

Why aren’t some of my gifts tradable?

Only gifts that are purchased on trusted accounts can be traded immediately; otherwise there is a 30-day cool down before the gift can be traded. Any account that has made any valid purchase from the Steam Store more than 30 days ago is considered trusted. This is to ensure that all games traded are valuable, and help prevent fraudulent purchases for the purpose of trades. If you do not make a purchase on your Steam account after being labeled as trusted within a year your status will be reset and you will need to wait an additional 30-days before being trusted again.

Find whatever is suiting your scenario.

Ok well I’ve been a Steam user for over 4 years just never bought anything so I’m sure my account should be trusted by now.

I went ahead and bought 3 Compendiums and they show Not Tradeable until 20/05/14 21:00 which is fine thats only a seven day wait which my friends should be fine with .

If I buy a point booster thingie would I then be able to trade it immdiately or would I have to wait another seven days because I would like to get 2 x 2400 points for each of the compendiums .

But if I cant give them to my friends straight away then its pointless they might as well play for levels they would probably get to level 15-25 in a week playing anyways so why waste my money.

I bought a compendium 2 days ago. I just bought another one so I wanted to trade it to a friend. I have bought some items previously that is more than 30 days too. How is that not fulfilling the following:

” Any account that has made any valid purchase from the Steam Store more than 30 days ago is considered trusted. This is to ensure that all games traded are valuable, and help prevent fraudulent purchases for the purpose of trades.”

Newly Added Payment Method

Only items and games that are purchased with trusted payment methods can be traded immediately; otherwise there is a 7 day cool down before they can be traded. The Steam Community Market will also be unavailable during the cooldown. Any payment method that has been used on the account more than 7 days ago is considered trusted.

I recommend you to read through the two Steam pages I provided in my previous comment.

Today we are announcing the Dota 2 Reborn Beta, which brings with it a new interface, new engine and Custom Games. Everything in the dashboard has been completely redesigned utilizing a new UI framework, and the engine that powers the game has been fully replaced. On today’s update page we will be giving you a preview of the new interface. Early next week we’ll be talking about Custom Games, and later that week we’ll conclude with various details about the new engine and launch the open beta. Dota 2 compendium tradable

Throughout the beta we’ll be releasing frequent updates in order to fix bugs and make changes based on the feedback you provide. As you browse around in the new client, you’ll notice a few things that aren’t fully functional yet. Additionally, our focus has been on the dashboard so you’ll find the in-game HUD currently looks the same.

We want you to help us during the beta with your suggestions and bug reports. Our intention is to keep gameplay and heroes looking and feeling the same, so if you find anything unexpected please let us know. We’ll be bringing the update out of beta some time after The International to ensure we have enough time to respond to all of your feedback.

The Collector’s Cache

Available for purchase exclusively to Compendium owners, the International 2015 Collector’s Cache costs $1.99 and gives you another chance to contribute to The International prize pool as you claim 11 community-created, Mythical sets. The Cache also has a 1 in 250 chance to contain the Immortal Faceless Rex courier. The Collector’s Cache will only be sold until the end of The International.

Opening a Collector’s Cache also gives you several ways to increase your Compendium level. The first time you open a Cache will earn you 2 levels, when you open 5 Caches you’ll earn 5 levels, and you’ll earn 11 levels when you open 11 Caches. There’s also a chance that a Cache will contain an item that grants 11 Compendium levels. Additionally, each set from the Collector’s Cache can be recycled for two levels.

These sets won’t be sold elsewhere, and won’t be available on the market or for trade, though they can each be gifted once. The Faceless Rex courier, however, is fully tradable and marketable.

New Compendium Rewards & Spectator Effigies

Immortal Treasure II has been released, bringing exclusive new items to Compendium owners. The Immortal Treasure II contains items for Anti-Mage, Disruptor, Faceless Void, Leshrac, Shadow Fiend, Sven, and Tinker. Increase your Compendium level to earn more treasures and complete the set.

Compendium owners will also receive the Wyvern Hatchling courier. You can give it a new look by increasing your Compendium level, with the Fire Style unlocking at Compendium Level 25, and the Gold Style unlocking at Level 200.

Head over to the Compendium site to see everything in action.

Meanwhile, you may have noticed that we’ve rolled out a special drop system for The International matches, including the Qualifiers. Major events in a match where we would have previously dropped a normal item will now drop an effigy featuring the triumphant hero, or a random team member in the case of a group accomplishment. The effigies will be built from a random material (including the rare Solid Gold material), and will come ready to be posed using the preset hero and equipped items the player was using at the time.

Live spectators will also have a chance to earn coins, coin charms, and Compendium points toward levels. Additionally, every Compendium owner will have a chance to receive an effigy celebrating the victorious team whenever a live match ends, even if they weren’t watching. The higher your Compendium Level, the higher your chance to receive one of these effigies.

The International Qualifiers

The International Qualifiers begin next week. Be sure to catch all the action as the America and China qualifiers begin on Monday the 25th. The America qualifiers will start at 17:00 GMT, with the China qualifier beginning at 02:00 GMT.

Then, tune in on Friday the 29th for the Europe and Southeast Asia qualifiers. The Europe qualifier gets going at 10:00 GMT, while the Southeast Asia qualifier commences at 02:00 GMT.

Head to The International invites site to see which teams are competing in each qualifier, then make your predictions in your Compendium.

The winners of each qualifier will be given a direct invite to The International, while each of the second place teams will battle it out for the final two invites.

You’ll find English and Russian language coverage for The International qualifiers over at Twitch. tv, with Chinese language coverage available here.

Who will emerge victorious, and be invited to compete at The International?

Dota 2 Short Film Contest

Aspiring filmmakers, the time has come. We’re throwing the doors open on the Dota 2 Short Film Contest.

Filmmakers will have until the morning of July 13th, 2015 to submit their entries to the contest. The winning films will be featured as part of The International broadcast, and each winner will earn $20,000. Entries must be less than one minute long, so be sure to make every second count. Head over to the Dota 2 Short Film Contest site to learn more information on the submission guidelines and process.

Everyone else, head over to the contest voting page and tell us which videos you would like to see showcased at The International.

Compendium Level Up

Today’s update brings new ways to earn Compendium Coins and Levels.

The Ten Hero Challenge returns from last year, and gives all Compendium owners the chance to earn additional Compendium Levels by winning matchmaking games with a selection of heroes. The Ten Hero Challenge can be completed up to three times with a different selection of heroes for a total of 450 points (4.5 Levels).

We’ve also brought back Item Recycling. Whenever you recycle any 10 items, you’ll earn 25 points toward a Compendium Level as well as a Charm of the Crucible Jewel II. There are also three Compendium Achievements for Charms to help you earn more Compendium Points. If you have extra TI5 Compendium Immortals, you can consume them to gain two Compendium Levels by right-clicking on them in your Armory.

All Compendium owners will now have an additional slot for hero-specific challenges in their list of in-game challenges, which will award both Compendium Coins and points toward Compendium Levels when completed.

Now that Team invites are out, don’t forget to vote for your favorite players to participate in this year’s All-Stars event. Completing this task will grant you 50 Compendium Points.

From Kappa to BibleThump, we’ve got you covered.

On June 6, 2011, video game streaming website Twitch launched as a spin-off of livestreaming site Justin. tv. In the nearly seven years since, Twitch has become the go-to place for streaming, even surpassing its former corporate owner.

Part of the reason for Twitch’s popularity is Twitch chat, and especially its emotes. With Twitch chat, passive viewing becomes interactive, and Twitch’s emotes become a kind of internal language of inside-jokes.

The emotes have changed how people talk to each other on the site. They can change the meaning of a message or they can be the entire message in many cases.

The images have unique stories about how they came to be, why they’re used so much, and what they’re used for. Many Twitch newcomers probably don’t know much about ResidentSleeper and its origin or who the man behind Kappa is. That’s where we come in.

Kappa

Kappa is a grayscale photo of Josh DeSeno, a former Justin. tv employee. DeSeno had been working on the original chat client for Justin. tv when Kappa was added as an emote. This was not uncommon at the time as several Justin. tv employees had added various photos of their facial expressions—but DeSeno’s photo was much more popular than his peers’. He became the face of Twitch.

The emote is mostly used to convey sarcasm and trolling, which is a major reason it is used so much in Twitch chat. Kappa has been used almost 300 million times, according to StreamElements, and each day DeSeno’s face is spammed in countless channels.

PogChamp

During a 2010 bloopers episode of Cross Counter, a YouTube game series, Ryan “Gootecks” Gutierrez gave his now iconic reaction to the cameraman bumping into the camera. Mike ross dota 2 The face is now known as PogChamp on Twitch, a name from a separate Cross Counter video where Gootecks defeats co-host Mike Ross in a pog battle.

Although Gootecks’ expression was made in surprise and shock, the emote is used mostly in instances of excitement.

Kreygasm

Popular variety streamer Kreyg was approached by Justin. tv staff in 2011 about having a global chat emote on the site. Originally, according to Kreyg, he declined the offer. But months later, the term “Kreygasm” was coined in his stream, prompting him to make an emote befitting of the name.

Kreygasm is mostly used to express pleasure.

John “TotalBiscuit” Bain is one of the most popular video game reviewers in the world and he just so happens to have one of the most popular Twitch emotes in the world. His laughing face, LUL, debuted in 2016 and instantly became one of the most used emotes on the site.

As one would expect, LUL is used to express laughter.

4head

4head is used a lot and it’s used in a lot of different scenarios. It can be used in the same vein as Kappa for sarcasm, but it also can be used like a less-enthusiastic LUL. Either way, 4head has been seen over 200 million times in Twitch chat, according to StreamElements, making it one of the top 10 most used emotes of all time.

There isn’t much of a backstory to this emote either. League of Legends streamer Cadburry took a photo of himself smiling and it just caught on in a big way.

PJSalt

Unlike many of the other top Twitch emotes, PJSalt is not a photo. The image of a container pouring out salt was first seen over two years ago and is widely used when streamers and other chatters get “salty,” a term for being upset or bitter.

BibleThump

In 2012, BibleThump made its debut on Twitch. Coming from the game The Binding of Isaac, the crying round face is most commonly used in sad moments.

ResidentSleeper

ResidentSleeper is mostly used when chatters are bored to the point where they say they are falling asleep.

The photo originates from broadcaster Oddler’s attempt at a 72-hour Resident Evil stream. While not reaching his intended goal, Oddler got to the 65-hour mark before dozing off, creating one of Twitch’s most prolific emoticons.

FailFish

At one point or another, everybody has failed—but not everyone can personify failure and disappointment on Twitch in a single emote. That can only belong to Spamfish with his facepalming FailFish photo.

It’s just plain wrong to see someone fail and not let them know you saw and disapprove with this emote.

SwiftRage

Like Spamfish, who is the face of failure on Twitch, streamer and YouTuber Joseph “Swiftor” Alminawi is arguably the face of rage on the site.

Competing with a similar emote, BabyRage, SwiftRage is used to express anger and even sometimes overwhelming excitement and demand. BabyRage is used more to show whining or immature raging.

WutFace

WutFace is a very surprised-looking photo of Overwatch League desk host and Halo commentator Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez. The esports personality was in the crowd at MLG Anaheim 2014 when the camera settled on him. When he realized he was on camera, Goldenboy made the WutFace expression.

The emote has been used in a variety of situations, but it’s caught on mostly when things go wrong or someone says something weird. No matter how it’s meant, WutFace will forever keep Goldenboy’s face plastered in Twitch chat.

DansGame

WutFace and DansGame are pretty similar but DansGame came nearly half of a decade earlier. During the Justin. tv days, DansGaming sent a disgusted-looking photo to Justin. tv staff, which has stayed around for nearly 10 years.

Similarly to WutFace, DansGame is used at many different times but it’s mostly employed when commenters are disgusted or freaked out.

  • Pick Traxex if your team need Carry / you are pros in farming.
  • Don’t pick Traxex if your enemy have to many Gankers or Nuker / your team have to many agi hero.

Lane

Traxex is flexible, you can go anywhere. Choose wisely, usually, i’ll go solo or go with support type hero(At least, they have stun).

Early game’s Strategy

Traxex is Carry hero which will dangerous on late game. So just keep farming safely. Carry heroes’s way to success is just two : Die Mid game’s Strategy

In mid game, traxex usually still like chubby. it still cute and doesn’t often killed enemy. Don’t be so sad if your just got a few kill. Still focus on farming. Just Lothar / yasha doesn’t give you much advantage to evolve into Beast ! farming until you got at least 2 Luxury Item.

War game’s Strategy and Ganking’s Strategy

When on war or ganking, Traxex is easy to use. We just need to seek enemy with a lowest HP, silence him and if possible silence him with another, then hit him until die. That will become some of looping until your life in danger. The tips is just one. Try to stay on the fog in the war. This helping you to get less damage from nukers and to ease your escape.

Late game’s Strategy

Heroes always show up in last. It’s carry’s responsibility to drive his team to victory. In equally strong late game, The death of carry can rotate all of the road game. Don’t be so proud of yourself and do committed suicide by come to the tiger’s nest alone. XD

What Is Dota 2 Stuttering and How to Fix It?

Ever since Valve introduced its highly anticipated 7.00 Update for Dota 2, players have been reporting issues linked to the infamous Dota 2 Stuttering. This issue was somewhat fixed with the previous updates, however, it has now made a return to the MOBA. More so, with the game now running update 7.08, reports suggest the Dota 2 fps stutter issue still persist in the game.

Gamers from across the globe have been reporting instances related to the infamous Dota 2 stutter issue. Consequently, Dota 2 players are on the brink of leaving the game forever, as, for them, it is currently unplayable. However, for all of you, who are affected by this issue, I have some good news for you.

@DOTA2 your dota 2 servers are taking a dump right now stutter / slow motion constantly nonstop ingame

my Dota 2 client have been stuttering in the last 2 weeks, despite low ping… no idea why

It seems there is a way to get rid of the Dota 2 fps stutter, one which is easier to apply and has positives effects. But before I delve into the details, let’s first get a firm grasp on what the stuttering issue is?

Dota 2 Fps Stutter

According to the reports, Dota 2 fps stutter is a sort of a lag spike which freezes the game for a second or so, after a specific period of time, or when things get intense. And since Dota 2 is a game where a single second can have the greatest of impacts, you can just understand how frustrating the stutter can get. For more visual understanding, check out the video below:

By looking at the video above, you can clearly see that playing under the effect of the Dota 2 stuttering issue, is quite difficult. As a result, a fix for this is much needed. However, the fix for this issue isn’t as simple as changing a couple of settings as it is linked to lag. This means there are a lot of things which can be responsible for the Dota 2 fps stutter.

Dota 2 Stuttering Lag Fix

The Dota 2 stutter issue is a product of the lag, the root cause behind this could be linked to factors such as the game’s system requirements and your gaming rig’s performance. However, since I have already covered that in the Kill Ping Dota 2 Lag articles, I would not want to double dip on this matter. So, before you scroll down, I will advise you to check out the Dota 2 lag guide .

  • Make sure all of the drivers on your computer are up-to-date, especially the ones for your GPU
  • Close down any background application which is either using up your internet or is using up a lot of your system’s space
  • Scan and defrag all of the drives, especially the ones where Dota 2 and Steam are located
  • Lower your graphics and v >Bid Farewell to Dota 2 Stuttering Once and For All

Kill Ping is a gaming VPN that features dedicated servers for almost every online game which allow players to play the game without any lag or delays. In other words, Kill Ping is the perfect fix for dealing with this issue.

Players from all over the world have tried out Kill Ping and have enjoyed smooth gaming experience like never before with increased FPS, reduced lag, and spikes. So, if you are the one who wishes to lay waste to Dota 2 stuttering once and for all, I would highly recommend you to give Kill Ping a try. It is one of the best options for online gamers. For more details on the ping boosting VPN, check out the official website.

Dota 2 Workshop – Color Texture Light Baking

This gu >olor texture from a high resolution sculpted source and applying it to the low resolution in-game asset.

DEFINING COLOR

  • Dota 2’s in-game lighting is quite subtle and as a result we tend to lose a lot of the sculptural detail in the character’s normal maps.
  • We offset this by baking – or painting – the light into the color texture.

AMBIENT OCCLUSION

Start with the predominant color of the character

Bake an ambient occlusion map (AO Map) of the model.

Multiply the ambient occlusion layer on top of the base color at an 80% opacity.

POINT LIGHT MAP

  • Place a couple of simple white point lights in your scene and render out a light map.
  • You don’t want ambient occlusion in this light pass, just pure point light information, preferably with a material that captures specular highlights.
  • Turn off projected shadows. Typically, multiple point light maps are baked with lights in various positions then blended in Photoshop into one map for more precise control.
  • The point light map captures more sculptural information than is possible with a pure AO map.
  • We bake this map separately from the AO as we want to control the two elements differently.
  • The point light map also gives you a good starting point to introduce your top-to-bottom, light-to-dark gradient.
  • Clamp the shadows so they don’t darken the base map unnecessarily.
  • A 90 90 90 (RGB) screen layer at 85% opacity on top of the point light map is a good place to start.
  • You can group these two layers together to make them easier to blend onto the base map.
  • The point light group is layered above the AO map.
  • Set the point light group’s blending mode to 100% soft light.
  • This constitutes the ‘underpainting’ of the texture. Because we have a strong sculptural base to the texture we don’t need to paint too much in the way of lighting and shadow information.

COLOR MAP

The majority of the painting is done in the color layers.

The color group is blended on top of other layers in overlay mode at 80% opacity.

  • Dota 2 has a very bright and intense palette with lots of saturated colors. Layers with certain blend modes can blow out the palette into unusual colors, so it’s worth clamping shadows and highlights to avoid excessive contrast. How aggressively you do this is best determined on a per character basis.
  • For this character the color layer group was duplicated and given a blending mode of lighten at 30% opacity.

The color layer group was duplicated again and given a blending mode of darken at 50% opacity. This allows the shadows and highlights to be controlled independently.

GRAPHIC PATTERNS

  • Most of Dota’s characters have large crisp graphic patterns to aid legibility.
  • These patterns can be blocked in loosely on the initial rough texture then later enhanced by a masked color layer.
  • A layer mask is created using the lasso tool.
  • Then color is painted on to sharpen edges and make colors more consistent.

Color is loosely painted inside the layer mask to preserve a sharp edge to the design. The blending mode is set to normal at 80% opacity.

FINAL ADJUSTMENTS

Make final adjustments to details like the eye highlights, improve the value gradient overall, and adjust the saturation.

This color texture is now perfectly synched to all of the details in the normal map.

Dota 2 losers bracket 30

Dota 2 losers bracket 30

Dota 2 losers bracket 30

Dota 2 losers bracket 30

We start with a best of three match between iG and DK. Both of these teams were sent down to the Loser Bracket by Na’Vi and now one of them is going to get their chance at redemption. The winner of this match heads to the Loser Bracket finals.

The second match of the day is a best of three match between the undefeated machine of LGD and the always unpredictable Na’Vi. This is the first meeting between these two teams at the International. LGD has won every match of this event 2-0 and while Na’Vi struggled during the Preliminaries, they have come back at the main event to win all their matches 2-1. The winner of this match heads on to the Championship, the loser goes to the Loser Bracket finals.

The Loser Bracket final is our third match of the day. It is another best of three with one team coming off the momentum of a win and the other a rough loss. The winner of this match goes on to the Championship match.

The Championship is our only best of five match and will decide who wins the one million dollar prize.

The TLDR version – Four teams are still in it – iG, LGD, DK, and Na’Vi – anyone of them can still win it all. Watch it here, participate here.

Day 2 Ends

Day 2 continued where Day 3 left off; four single elimination matches. EG, Darer, coL, and CLG were all eliminated by mid afternoon. LGD continued where they left off as well and remain undefeated. Zenith gave them a run for their money, but it was still LGD in two straight.

Then… well then it was the Na’Vi show. iG took the first game but then it all changed. Na’Vi showed why you can never count them out. Their loose style and aggressive action excited the crowd and then this play launched Benaroya Hall to its feet. The end result was Na’Vi 2-1 – punctuated with a bit of dancing by Dendi.

The late games included EHOME beating Orange and then playing iG. After their defeat by Na’Vi everyone wondered if iG had anything left in them. Instead of collapsing, they showed why they sailed through the prelims with a 13 and 1 record by coming back with a decisive victory to insure they would play Sunday.

The night ended with Zenith and DK looking for that last spot in Sunday’s lineup. DK took command of the late game and never looked back. They will continue on to Sunday where everyone can still win it all!

See you in the morning.

Day Two Starts

What a day for Dota 2 yesterday! We had over 400,000 simultaneous viewers online and thousands of visitors at Benaroya Hall watching some amazing matches. The best of 3 matches went the distance for all but one match – that match was LGD winning in two straight games and sending Orange down to the Loser Bracket

LGD continues their dominance and not to jinx them but can they continue undefeated? They go up against Zenith Saturday. While Zenith struggled and lost their first game against coL, they came back strong to take the final two games. Their match will be the fifth game of the day.

Last year’s winner, Na’Vi, pulled out a win against DK after losing the second game in the match. All three were great games and you can watch all the replays of Friday’s games on the schedule page.

Saturday starts as Friday ends; four straight single elimination matches from the Loser Bracket. The intensity of these games are heightened because each team knows – one mistake and they are gone.

So if you aren’t watching already, join us here and then load up Twitter and join us in our game discussion and maybe, maybe even win a Dota 2 Key… start following and learn how.

What happened during these games? Overall, there were 4,655 kills with 13.2 million gold and 15.2 million XP earned. The average first blood time was 3 minutes with the longest wait for first blood being in the LGD vs Zenith game with a wait of 11.3 minutes. There were 13 first bloods before the horn.

The bottom section of the schedule is the Loser Bracket. They only play Best of 1 matches. This means one loss and the team is eliminated from the tournament! Only until the last two rounds of the Loser Bracket are matches played as Best of 3.

The Championship finals pit the last remaining teams from the Winner and Loser Brackets against each other in a full Best of 5 match to determine the champion of The International on Sunday.

Day 3 is starting

Remember, day 3 is a shortened day with only a few more matches for teams to decide their fate. You can follow the games using the schedule page.

Yesterday’s most viewed game was Orange Vs Na’vi with over 59,000 spectators. Na’vi was also involved in our top rated match, Na’vi vs mTw with a rating of 96.7%. Did you know not only can you view the games and replays with full commentators in our Client, spectators can also vote on those games so others know what the hot games are to watch?

With that, load up the client and start watching games.

The International Preliminary Stage By The Numbers

The average first blood time was 3 minutes with the longest wait for first blood being in the LGD vs Zenith game with a wait of 11.3 minutes. There were 13 first bloods before the horn.

For heroes, the most popular pick was Venomancer with 64 picks. The most lethal pick was Tiny with 9.4 average kills in 10 games. The most helpful and most unfortunate was Wisp with 13 average assists and 6.7 average deaths in 11 games. Morphling had the most kills with 407 total kills in 54 games.

For Pennants, Na’Vi leads the pack followed by Mouz and Zenith. Amazingly, #1 seeded LGD is down in the number five spot. There have been over 1000 tournament items dropped, so time to show some support!

Did you turn everything down Fast not best looking, turn all the animations off, turn all the qualities to low or off, ALSO you can choose a crappy computer screen resolution too and it will speed up performance allowing the game to use your computers current resolution.

______________________________________________________________________________________________

Hello GG (guys and girls)! I see you have came across my guide for Pudge! Pudge used to be my main hero, so I decided to make a guide on him. I would greatly appreciate constructive criticism! If you want to downvote, please comment the reason.
Thanks!
– NapalmKing

Pudge is a durable roamer who snacks on squishy heroes. Your success with this hero depends greatly on your skill, as his main skill is a skillshot.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
– Is very durable
– Great ganker
– Very nice disable
– Not very item-dependant

Cons:
– Mana Issues Early and Mid
– Slow movement speed
– Level-dependant (needs level advantage)
– Hook is a skillshot

Skills

This skill is what defines Pudge.

Pudge launches his meat hook at the desired location, pulling in whatever it hits (yes, you can hook allies). If the hook catches an enemy, it deals 360 damage (at level 4).

The hook speed is relatively slow, so the trick to this skill is to predict your enemy’s movement. Almost nobody can get this straight away, so it requires a bit of practice.

Hooking your teammates can be life-saving or even game-changing. Use this to your advantage, and pull in your friends if they are stuck in sticky situations.
Rot(W):

When activated, Rot will damage enemies in a 250 radius. It is a toggle, and requires no mana. Dota 2 hook price The catch is that it will also damage you, so you cannot leave it on forever. Rot deal 100 magical damage per second.

This is very useful in many ways. Pudge’s Hook + Rot combo is extremely deadly, and you can also use Rot to deny yourself (committing suicide). Denying yourself means that the enemy will not be able to gain gold and experience from your death.
Flesh Heap(E):

This is Pudge’s passive ability. At level 4, it gives Pudge 16% magic resistance. The other thing is that, every time an enemy hero dies within a 450 radius, Pudge permanently gains 1.8 strength.
Dismember(R):

Pudge’s Ultimate. This ability disables the enemy target, and deals 175 damage per second for 3 seconds. This skill is most often used after a hook. Using the Hook + Rot + Dismember combo, basically secures you a kill on squishy or under-leveled targets. If you do the math, the hook deals 360 damage, Dismember will deal 525 (175 x 3) damage, and Rot will deal 330 (110 x 3) damage, so you can deal 1215 damage!
This is upgradable with Aghanim’s Scepter.

Play Style

Level 1 – 5 (Early Game)

The desired lane for Pudge is solo middle, but he can also work on the side lanes too.
The reason I upgrade the hook at level 1 is for those level 1 teamfights or first blood attemps. Other than that, avoid using your hook early game, as it will use up most of your mana, unless you can secure a kill. When you get Rot, use it to harass the enemy and/or to get more farm. Like stated before, don’t try to go for kills since level 1 – 2 hook does not have much range, nor does it have good damage.

Level 6 – 11 (Mid Game)

This is when Pudge shines. Once you aquired your Ultimate and your Hook maxed out (at level 7), you can start to gank. Buy wards if you want more success with hooks.

Level 11 – 25 (Late Game)

If the game continues this long, grab an Aghanims Scepter, and keep roaming and snatching enemies out of lane!

Calibration (Probably) has a cap because otherwise trolls/feeders/etc *could*, not saying would, but COULD. possibly cause some random stick to get calibrated to some insanely high level, and Dotadev/valve would rather screw over the the honest player who can legitimately climb and brag that “they climbed that ladder”

Than to *taint* the higher MMR pool with bad apples, even if, they will just fall out of the over-calibarated ranking. The “actually super high skill” bracket is one they want to be “as pure as possible” – “you really /earned/ being here” and that “extra work” makes it less likely to have “problem childs”

It’s ok to be done the way it’s done, because there’s 0 chance a new player is above 3.5k, any player that has a skill above that is a player that has another account and that should play in his other account.

“I just used to play on my friend’s account” it’s not an excuse, you should have created your own account and it’s not valve’s fault, because you shouldn’t be playing in another’s player account to begin with.

“he’s about 4.6k mmr” doesn’t mean you’re 4.6k mmr, not even because you have played in it, I know a lot of people that play really bad and get carried to higher brackets, which could be your case.

And “I have to calibrate with toxic 3k’s and forced to play with them” sounds dumb as hell, because you’re problably on that skill level, if you’re not you’ll get out of that skill bracket soon enough, because everytime you play your team will have a “higher” skill player.

If you believe it’s not possible, because they’re really bad and feed and grief, then you’re really on that skill level.

I went from 3,1k to 3.9k from may to august of past year, then the recalibration came and because I played often with my lower skill friends and have lower party mmr, the recalibration dropped me to 3.5k, but now I’m 4.1k mmr and I play like 4-5 games a week, so I earned 600 mmr in around 70 games, wich is not that much, you can do it in a week or two if you are a regular player and have the skill you say you have.

Buddy, I’ve been playing this game for more than 2 years, I know what I’m capable of, and being able to carry on a 4.6k mmr is not really bad,
I just didn’t wanna waste an account cause my friend already had a computer at his house and I couldn’t affod a gaming one,

and no,
people in 3k, MID OR FEED, MID OR FEED, HC OR FEED, then they throw and I lose my mmr, so yes, I believe my bracket is 3k because of them, LEL
