the witch dr. is alot of fun and can be an awsome support but i prefer to play team killer with him. i see a lot of people play this guy not very well so here is how i play him.
pros and cons
pros – can kill whole teams – very durable/unstoppable late game – 2 v witch doctor in the jungle = easy double kill – very sustainable early game – does extreme amounts of dmg mid game if Aghs is used with ulty lvl 2
cons – boring until lvl 6 – ulty is only single target until Aghs – suseptable to cc early game – 1v1 is usually harder to deal with than 2 or 3 v 1 against the witch doctor
items
so for items i start with a little health, mana, mana pots and courier.
after this you will want boots, the mana boots are my boots of choice they allow you to be able to get a vangaurd after aghanims and pwn erlier.
after boot and get aghanims this is the main item for this build without it witch doctor sucks.
if your finding this guy really easy to pwn with or you enemy team just doesnt have any cc go for a blood stone instead of a vanguard, blood stone is about the same as a vanguard defensively but way better for mana regen which will allow you to stay out of you base longer. also because of the extra mana regen you can recycle the mana boots mana orb into the blood stone and upgrade to boots of travel, this will give you alot of ganking power. note the blood stone is all round better than a vanguard for the witch doctor but it is double the price so for me it depends on how much gold i have which determines which build i go.
from here its situational but 90% of the time there team will have cc so BKB is usually you next choice. if they dont have cc get a refresher orb.
by this piont i usually have won but if your still going there are a few cool things that i like to get: -liken sphere for more mana regen and the spell block, note if you have refresher orb, likens and blood stone you can keep your heal on constantly which is pretty sweet for team fights. -radiance for the dmg aoe, note if you have a vangaurd or heart of t with a bloodstone you will be almost unkillable so put your heal on and stand front and center in team fights, the combo of ur ulty bouncing cask and radiance is insane on the dps scale. -heart of terrasque note only get the heart as a very last item and only if you got a blood stone erlier instead of vanguard, note the heart of t with radiance and refresher orb will allow you to 1v1 other carrys, 1v5 teams with no cc and win but you should get a blood stone instead if you havent done so already.
the last three items are non-essencial DO NOT get if you dont already have BKB and Blood stone because teams with no cc are noob teams and dont really come up often.
p. s. one thing ive never tryed but a buddy of mine (after stealing my build) sa >
begining game
i like to just sit back and creep farm until level 6, to do this best choice is mid if you go in a lane with a partner make sure its not someone that you have to compete with for creep kills. so i dont have to worry about enemies i get alot of mana pots so i can pretty much spam my bouncing cask and use my heal when ever i want. make sure you buy a courier (as long as no one else has already) because you will most likely need more mana pots and you will need to lvl fast. when you hit lvl 6 you should have no problem killing some 1 as long as you didnt die alot already and if u you have a competent laning partner you should be able to get 2 or at least a kill and assist.
also note that your bouncing cast lvl 3 and 4 can be used quite effectively be used to farm extra creeps if you have the mana for it.
heros to watch for erly game are the extreme range heros like shadow demon and keeper of the light.
mid game
so at lvl 6 i like to start ganking. its really quite awsome just let your team know what your doing then bouncing cask followed by your ultimate. this will generate a lot of gold enough for you to get aghanims by the time you lvl your ultimate to lvl 2.
so some things to remember are: -you can use your heal half way through your ultimate and your ultimate will not be cancelled. (good for tricking enemies to commit to 1v1 fights). -wards can be used to eliminate map/area darkness and allow you to use your ultimate to its max range also solves the problem of invis guys. -watch out for heros with active stuns and silences (blood seeker is pretty brutal) its really annoying if you use you ulty and get stunned right away, i usually wait for them to use it before even joining the team fight.
late game
late game for me is usually lvl 13-20ish, when im the witch doctor games dont usually last to long.
after getting aghanims this is when you can start pwning there whole team all you have to do is wait for a team fight to start use your bouncing cask and drop you ulty and watch them die.
after aghanims i usually get vanguard because its cheap and it will stop you from being killed when you get focused erly in team fights. after this you will wont to get BKB for the avatar spell immune thing. at this piont you should comfortably be able to kill there whole team in team fights and 1v4 most teams.
heros to watch for are people like beast master who can use his ulty through BKB.
things to note are: -if your ulty is coming up short of killing tanks get a refresher orb then just use 2 consecutive ultys -if a tanky carry keeps out dpsing you, get more tank items or avo >
general notes
i dont use his aoe dmg skill because i dont have any cc items in my build and its a pain in the *** to aim, thats just me if you can work it in and make the witch dr. pwn even more go for it.(sometimes i even get bonus plus to agi, str, int lvl up before it)
this build is more for fun than for competitive play, there are several reasons i dont play this build in competitive matches but the main one being that people assume your a support and the carry on your team will get angry when you steal all the kills.
its really funny to use your ult while your team destroys towers there team will usually just run away and let you take it.
Summary
to summarize: -until lvl 6 dont try to hard to kill -get aghanims asap -Blood Stone after aghanims or vanguard if you keep dying -BKB is a must for 90% of the games

Since Battle Fury’s rework, it’s been an efficient damage item even outside of the bonus cleave effect. Pros have started building it on Phantom Lancer, diverging from his tried and true builds. Then once RTZ picked it up on Terrorblade at Galaxy Battles, it was about time to talk about whether the item has become too strong in the meta. Battle fury dota 2 market
A History Of Buffs
Battle Fury’s efficiency as an item today is reminscient of back in Dota 1, when it wasn’t unusual to see it as a core item for Windrunner. It competed with Orchid as part of her build, and the fact that Battlefury’s Cleave gave no advantage on a ranged hero didn’t matter.
Battle Fury has been buffed since the beginning of Dota time. From its inception to 6.84, it had its damage increased (55 to 65), its components costs reduced (a net reduction from 5100 to 4575 gold), cleave radius increased (overall from 160 to 280!) and its innate regeneration buffed. Then 6.84 came, slightly reduced its damage while incorporating Quelling Blade as part of its item build, further cementing the item’s purpose as a farming tool for carries.
But during this period of time it was only a core item for two heroes hero: Anti-Mage and Ember Spirit. The item eventually found its way into Juggernaut builds, and briefly had a home in Faceless Void when the hero was strictly a hard carry. In spite of a history of buffs, it was still in need for more.
Patches 7.00 further tweaked Cleave’s damage and radius, increasing its damage and radius to adjust for Cleave’s new trapezoidal hit area. Battle fury dota 2 market Then, in 7.02, 7.03, and 7.07, Battle Fury saw two more buffs that tipped its usage from niche to core. Cleave’s damage increased from 35% to 40%, its end radius from 280 to 330, and distance from 520 to 575. Even though its damage was reduced by 5, the item’s overall cost was also reduced from 4500 to 4100. It was well worth it.
Battle Fury On Illusion and Ranged Heroes
Neither illusions nor ranged heroes benefit from cleave. It sounds terrible on paper on a hero like Spectre, who has a seemingly better alternative in Radiance or Diffusal Blade that has synergy with her ultimate. And it sounds even worse on Terrorblade, who prefers items that grant stats for his powerful illusions. And yet, the item is built today, by pros, on heroes like Spectre, Terrorblade, and Phantom Lancer. The item is so good that it’s useful even if its intended effect is partially useless.
Dota has so many mechanics, rules, and foundational builds that its difficult to keep an open mind when something new threatens to disrupt the meta. Battle fury dota 2 market Could we have ever imagined Mjolnir on Anti-Mage seriously if it didn’t have the backing of respected pros? Even Linken’s Sphere as a first item on a position 1 Faceless Void was seen as unconventional when wings’s carry, Shadow, pioneered it during TI6.
Right now, +45 damage and +6 regen for 4100 gold makes Battlefury the most cost efficient damage item in the game outside Divine Rapier. And yes, it significantly boosts your farm speed to a point it can compete with alternate items that actually has synergy with your abilities. It’s akin to how Meepo players build Dragon Lance for just the stats, even if they don’t benefit from the increased attack range.
Battle Fury, historically niche, may just be finding itself in the right place, after a few buffs, and the right time in a farming meta. Battle fury dota 2 market Aggressive trilanes have bought more time for carries to farm, and Demon Edge as a replacement component makes Battle Fury a convenient pickup in the side shop. It could just be a fleeting trend, with players recognizing the item’s potential and play testing it across many heroes, as they did with Mask of Madness and Skaadi.
Yeah ive had issues with him im some games. Even if he had a terrible lane.
If your team is heavy on physical damage you need lots of armor reduction. If your team is more varied you need silver edge.
Also you should try and get your team to focus stuns on him so as to move around him and attack.
here is the most recent game i’ve had this way. As you can see the my team had a slight advantage for the first 20 or so minutes in the game. The BB didn’t seem like a particularly good player, but as the game went on he eventually just hit a point where we couldn’t kill him, and his regen was outrunning our damage.

he got the majority of his kills in the last 5 minutes of the game, because he could just tank all of our attacks without dying, and wipe us all with quills
Looks like according to dotapicker your team lost it’s advantage right around when you were supposed to. http://dotapicker. com/herocounter#/E_Timbersaw/E_Phantom_Lancer/E_Bristleback/E_Io/E_Storm_Spirit/T_Bane/T_Techies/T_Lone_Druid/T_Lycan/T_Visage/S_1_advcharts/S_2_matchups (I. e. crappy picks since not only bb was a huge threat to your team.)
Surprised how accurate dotapicker is o. o
he got the majority of his kills in the last 5 minutes of the game, because he could just tank all of our attacks without dying, and wipe us all with quills
Long story sport, in the first game I linked your team was supposed to lose it’s advantage around 25 min mark (in that one you lost it about 5-10 mins sooner) and in the second one you were supposed to lose it at 15 min mark and you did. You being your team, not just you.. for clarity.
Regardless, I reckon the biggest issue in both games was that (if believing dotapicker then) even if there was no bb, you would have lost your advantage almost at the same time since whoever they would have picked (core/carry/impactfullish) they would have had enough control to keep the important heroes alive. Like in the first one there was timber and in this patch he is cancery enough even without bb. Then add pl to the mix and you might as well just /wrist and try again in next life unless you’d counter pick/go for pushpushpush tactics to finish the game before you lost your advantage.
Imo at least, could be wrong.

Your team’s LD instead opting to go Midas, with your team doing a total of 802 tower damage. The threat of an Io prevented any one of you to push solo, so you guys really needed to push together.

Would have been better if he picked a Lion or something.
Silver edge recks him. Also mana drainers, he has a ♥♥♥♥ mana pool.
EDIT: It’s a really long post. Please see my second post if you want a quick summary and don’t feel like reading essays 😛
Wow where to begin, Just a warning that this will probably be a really long post, and I do tend to ramble and I apologise for that I want to also give as much information as possible.
Okay now I started DOTA 2 about 6 months ago, the first MOBA game I’ve played, and I have absolutely LOVED it!! I am really addicted and have already played over 500 games. I have looked into other MOBA games (because of the issues I have) but DOTA 2 seems by far the best and I’m not interested in any other games. I have also become quite a DOTA 2 ambassador 😛 and have a got a few people to start playing it
My Situation: Basically at home we can’t get a usual ADSL line or anything because “there is too much cable theft in the area” – It’s crazy! So the way I connect to the internet is through my Samsung S4. I make it a wifi hotspot and connect my pc to it, so basically I use the mobile data on my phone to connect to the web. The internet speed is relatively fast (between 7 – 10 mbps), and I barely have any problems with speed or connection. Actually an interesting fact about South Africa (where I live): Most areas have a faster average mobile broadband connection then a cable connection
Now after about a month of playing, I suddenly couldn’t connect to games, I would be stuck at the loading screen for like a minute and then it would bomb out and it gave me the error message, “Disconnected from Server, Unable to establish connection to the server.” It would be nothing wrong with my internet, as everything else I could do was pretty fast. I obviously googled it and it is a pretty popular message from DOTA, and many many many sort of solutions were posted. I went and tried ALL of them!! I changed port numbers, I reinstalled steam & DOTA 2 etc etc etc, I must have done everything at least twice.
After probably 2 weeks without DOTA I was fiddling with my phone and suddenly DOTA 2 worked. But then 2 days later the problem came about. I again fiddled and I deleted the browser cache and somehow it worked. This happened a few times, where I didn’t have DOTA for a day or a few days, but I would fiddle around and something would make it work. Not always the same thing though, like deleting my browser cache didn’t work again.
Anyway I went like this until a time it didn’t work for loooong (about a week), and basically what I did was back upped and refreshed my whole phone. It worked. For 2 days. When it didn’t work again, and nothing I could do would help, I got pretty frustrated. I didn’t want to reformat my phone again.
I tried other people’s mobile phones as a hotspot and they DID work. Even ones with the same broadband supplier as me. I tried plugging my phone in as a way to use the internet and it did not work.
So anyways w I wanted to get to the bottom of the problem, I did 3 things:
1) Cell C: I phoned my mobile broadband provider Cell C, I explained the situation to them and they were like nah it won’t be us. They suggested that just to make sure, try another online games and see if they work and then you know it is a problem with steam, I did do this and anything else I tried worked, yet DOTA 2 didn’t.
I called Samsung, and in the end they basically said it is a problem with the game. They were saying if you can connect to the internet in any way fine it won’t be a problem with the phone at all. I mentioned the fact that I fiddle with my phone and suddenly it works, and they said no it is definitely problem with a game. The logic still doesn’t make sense to me but oh well.
3) Steam Support
This has got to be one of the worst experiences with ANY support with ANYTHING in my life. Wow. The fact that you can’t call or chat to the support online or even email is just bad. Pretty much all other game platforms and big game titles will offer these options but sadly DOTA 2 and steam are lagging so far behind in that regard.
Anyway so I sent a ticket to steam support, and 2 weeks later they replied, but the only thing the support said was “Currently, we are experiencing a high volume of tickets. In order to best serve our users, we’ve sent this automated reply because your ticket appears to address a problem that may have already been resolved. “
Also gave me links to a whole bunch of help topics I had actually already read. I messaged again saying the problem has not been resolved and got a response saying to try a few things. I had a already tried all of them and mentioned it in my previous post but I did it again anyways.
Anyway in the end the guy did not offer much help and this is an exact quote: As stated previously, mobile connections can have issues with Steam. We do not support this type of connection for online play.
It was beyond frustrating to me, because his replies were twice a week, he didn’t offer anything that actually helped (I was literally begging for just a link to something or a place where I could get any help on this – even if I have to pay), and also I KNEW the problem was fixable.
It is also ILLEGAL per the South African Consumers Protection act, as it is a game that advertises online play and says nowhere that “Mobile broadband is not supported” and I bought items etc.
Anyway after that I had pretty much given up, and was about to post on forums as last resort, but I had a brainwave and downloaded apps that deletes the cache and unneeded data stored on my phone. This actually worked!! Every time the problem has happened, I use these apps to delete cache (I have to use different ones lol), and then reset my phone and it is working again.
For the last while the error pitches up now and again and I go through the process and everything is fine.
Then yesterday happened. I was actually playing DOTA and then I had to download an update, and suddenly I couldn’t connect to games and got the exact same error message etc I did all my deleting cache shiz a few times and it wasn’t working. Anyway I went to sleep thinking it would just work today! but nope
I used a different mobile broadband dongle and it didn’t work (so it’s unique to my previous problem) and also I tried on another laptop using my phone and it didn’t work. I tried another persons steam account and it didn’t work.
I can’t test a cable connection right now, but to me that could be the only reason? Mobile broadband isn’t working?
So I was just hoping that someone somewhere could be able to help me. Honestly I would pay to get a solution to this problem. I am also wondering if maybe someone could tell me here if DOTA 2 officially blocked mobile broadband in the last update? And is there any plans to fix this issue? Or am I just not important enough xD (and the future potential growth of DOTA in Africa and probably India)
Anything that I am not thinking of or actually just anything that could potentially help me in any way would be much appreciated.
Valve’s autobattler Dota Underlords is still in open beta, but fans of the genre have already picked up the game and started learning a lot about the Dota 2 heroes in it and how they behave.
There are 60 heroes in Underlords grouped into five tiers, with one being the lowest and most common to five being the rarest and strongest. The higher the tier, the higher the level you need to be to see these units and the higher the likelihood of finding rare heroes in Underlords.
But these tiers don’t always show how strong and useful a hero unit is. There are good tier one and underwhelming tier four units, which means this category alone is lacking information on how good a unit is.
That’s why we’ve compiled the Underlords tiered list below of the best heroes based on how good it is to get them in your build. This is based on a list created by players ranked Big Boss for the Underlords. gg website, which means multiple players have ranked the Underlords heroes based on their personal preferences and perception. Even though no tier list is something for you to follow without restrictions, this one is a good resource for you to know where heroes stand in terms of power in Underlords.
Our tier list has a few small adjustments to the ratings that fall into each category. Here’s the list for the August 16 update.
Best Dota Underlords heroes
Tier S
These heroes are the strongest units in Underlords. They’re strong by themselves and need no item, alliance bonus, or any other condition to work and be impactful on your board. When in doubt, pick one of them, such as Kunkka and his incredible crowd control, or Pudge and his enormous health pool.
Kunkka
Pudge
Tiny
Dragon Knight
Troll Warlord
Disruptor
Terrorblade
Beastmaster
Necrophos
Tier A
These are great heroes that work well under certain conditions. Some may depend on a specific item, while others are key pieces for an Alliance combo. They can dominate a match if you get what they need and they’re still solid even without these conditions. It’s like Slark with lifesteal or a Crystal Maiden surviving long enough to enable your magic damage dealers.
Enigma
Medusa
Doom
Gyrocopter
Tidehunter
Lich
Slark
Sniper
Crystal Maiden
Abaddon
Sand King
Lycan
Viper
Morphling
Axe
Phantom Assassin
Tinker
Clockwerk
Timbersaw
Arc Warden
Luna
Puck
Tier B
These are good heroes that you should use under two or more conditions since they might be lackluster when used alone. Even with the right item or Alliance combo, they’re not as amazing as a Tier-A unit, but they’re good choices and might be important to enable a few strategies. Anti-Mage, for instance, is a decent unit to trigger the second level of the Demon Hunter Alliance buff for Terrorblade, a Tier-S unit. When these units do so, they also get a bit better than when used as stand-alone units.
Wind Ranger
Alchemist
Templar Assassin
Drow Ranger
Keeper of the Light
Batrider
Omniknight
Lina
Queen of Pain
Juggernaut
Witchdoctor
Chaos Knight
Anti-Mage
Slardar
Nature’s Prophet
Treant Protector
Lone Druid
Razor
Techies
Mirana
Tier C
These are below-average units that you should avoid whenever you can. They might be acceptable if you need them to trigger synergies or if they’re an early-game alternative, but don’t spend too much gold on leveling them up to three stars. Sell them as soon as you have a better hero to fill their role.
Enchantress
Tusk
Venomancer
Bounty Hunter
Ogre Magi
Tier D
These are units that would only work in extremely situational cases, which means they’re bad in every other case. Warlock, for instance, may only work with a few combinations of items and team compositions while still having inconsistencies that can cost you a match.
We’ll keep this story up to date with Dota Underlords patches.
Dota 2 releases full VR spectator suite—just in time for the International
Ars takes Dota 2‘s first VR mode for a spin ahead of tourney worth $18.7M (and counting).

Valve has now released its second piece of software for the HTC Vive virtual reality system: a free spectator hub for its hugely popular online-battling game Dota 2. While the Wednesday release isn’t a game per se, my brief test with the surprise-launched VR experience proves that this may very well be a game-changer for the system, and maybe even for e-sports.
The Dota 2 VR Hub got its first tease as early as this April, shortly before the Vive hardware saw its commercial launch, but word about the app dried up shortly afterward. And unlike other functions added to Dota 2, including a switchover to the Source 2 engine and Vulkan API support, this VR hub didn’t launch in a separate “test” branch or with any major “beta” indication. The mode requires a roughly 300MB installation, which can be toggled in the “DLC” list in the game’s Steam “Library” section.
What’s it like inside? Quite honestly, Dota 2 VR Hub is a total trip.
Hats are the old hotness; now, it’s all about masks
The VR interface, which arrives juuuust in time for next month’s official Dota 2 tourney, The International, recreates what its spectators have come to expect: the ability to watch either live or archival game matches within the interface. But before talking about how that experience changes in VR, there’s the matter of a surprising new feature to the Dota 2 viewing system: lobbies. Players can elect to join a public lobby or create their own private one, and both options support up to 16 viewers, all with voice chat enabled.
They can also watch alone, but the VR Hub lobbies are clearly designed with social aspects in mind. That’s because viewers can virtually walk around in one of two VR Hub interfaces, complete with visible hands and masks, to talk to each other about a match and even noticeably point at players or moments. (FYI, those masks include game heroes like Anti-Mage and Lina, and real-life Dota 2 players like rtz and Puppey, according to Ars’ resident series expert Peter Bright. No sign yet of any mask-related DLC, but for a company as hat-crazy as Valve, we figure it’ll be here before long.)
The mode starts in a “VR theater,” which displays a giant screen of traditional Dota 2 play within a giant, blue-tinged castle. On both sides of the screen are giant, living statues of the heroes in a match, and their statues include a small indicator of which items they have equipped at any point in the match. Other drop-down menus in this castle contain the same kinds of data that Dota 2‘s default spectator mode offers.
The juicy stuff comes from the full-map view, which is larger in this VR interface and unlocks entry into the full VR experience. Point anywhere on the map and click a trigger to warp into the game at that moment—like, really, you can walk and look around a Dota 2 match. Moving around the action works the same way as in most Vive VR games, by either moving around in real-life space or pointing at far-off places you’d like to “teleport” to. Viewers can also quickly change their size to one of three height levels. Grow to giant puppeteer size and watch the match like a god or shrink to a seemingly one-to-one height ratio and stand among the game’s combatants and creeps. Or, split the difference with a mid-range height.
Too much fog—but also so much possibility
In bad news, players’ view distances in VR are somewhat limited by a dismal, gray fog of war. We’re not sure if it’s because of graphical limitations to run the game smoothly in VR or because Valve doesn’t want viewers to see the entire field of battle for some reason, but it’s an unfortunate visual compromise for now, if only because the generic fog makes the game look like it has been ripped out of a boring day in London. Still, viewers can see quite a swath of action even with the fog in play.
Further Reading
The mode is otherwise absolutely comfortable, with hitch-free performance while walking around the VR warriors and what appears to be a smooth, 90 frames-per-second refresh of the game’s normal 2D action within the “theater” castle. (This is no small feat; the default Steam Theater mode, which transposes traditional 2D games into the Vive’s interface, continues to hitch on trying to run 60 frames-per-second games while respecting the Vive headset’s 90 frames-per-second refresh.)
Let’s stop and think about this. No other traditional, 2D video game has ever received such a spectator mode before. It’s hard enough to think of games that include default spectator modes, let alone ones where viewers can manually adjust their camera angle as they please, let alone ones that let viewers do so in virtual freakin’ reality. Dota 2 is the only one.
Further Reading
Though the mode’s launch isn’t listed as a “beta,” we can only assume more functionality will come to the hub in future updates; at the very least, we’d love to see graphical options to reduce fog of war on a powerful enough PC or to let viewers pull up more charts and data when warped directly into the match. And in our dream world, we’d see slightly better spell indicators, since those don’t translate as neatly from a VR perspective.
Still, this is a gem of a free release, especially with voice-chat and VR avatar functionality baked into the product. The Dota 2 VR Hub is going to make this year’s International tournament—whose prize pool is up to $18.7 million and counting—that much more fun for any viewers who have made room in their homes for an HTC Vive.
Rizzrack could still hear the screams in his mind. He worked, frantically turning wrenches, twisting screws, building and carving and forging. Sleep eluded him; he only built. Months had passed since he had shut himself in his uncle’s workshop, and his deliverance was nearly complete. He rubbed his back as his eyes drifted shut, and saw a blanket of flowers floating on the placid waves of Augury Bay before exploding into a cloud of pollen that silenced lives as it seized the lungs. He woke with a choking start. For hours the rhythmic sound of a whetstone filled the shop as he sharpened a set of massive blades, his mind filled with images of strangling vines garroting neighbors, enwrapping homes. The flooding of Augury Bay had been nothing compared to the violent horrors the waters left to take root beyond the city walls. But the saw-suit would make him strong and safe he thought, allowing himself this sliver of hope before the full might of his fear crashed into his fading mind. Branches and bark and blood. When the city fell, Rizzrack fled trees that walked, and fought, and killed. Trees had shattered the gates and swarmed into the city. Trees had crushed and thrashed and stomped the last that Augury Bay could muster in defense, and stalked the few fleeing refugees. In addled silence Rizzrack unspooled the thick chain from the suit’s arm, his hands quaking as he inspected each link and ran a trembling finger along the claw attached at its end. The saw-suit was ready.
With his hand trembling he sparked the bladed machine to life. Terror drove him, terror of what awaited him and of what he would have to face to have any hope of calming his mind. As the saw-suit shuddered to life he knew he must face this fear, and he knew he wouldn’t like it one bit.
Pros / Cons
Pros: Very mobile Good chasing potential Can clear lanes fairly quick Can nuke like crazy Q + W sick *** combo Can solo Decent harass pre-6
Cons: VERY mana hungry early Squishy without passive Silence=Death Timber is useless against BKB Little utility, which is why he isn’t seen on pro scene that much
Items
Starting: Fairly simple, stout shield could be built into Crimson Guard later, tango and salve for regen, clarity for when your harassing
The wand never fails, good against people who spam abilities. Bottle cos of mana, and Soul Ring for BS
Core: Arcane Boots for mana, and for team. Disassemble Arcane Boots for Bloodstone. Bloodstone works wonders on Timber. Mana regen, health regen? SUICIDE HAHAHAHHAH
Situational: Scepter: 2 Chakrams could be a little difficult to handle (for me at least. ) but more damgage, health, mana, and all that good stuff. Blademail: Good against carrys and stuff Heart: More health allows you to stay in the fight forever Sheepstick: If someones decides to overextend you can sheep them and then your whole team goes on him, or if your escaping you sheep then w out of there. More intelligence doesn’t hurt? 🙂 Shivas: The reason why I didn’t add it to the core section is because after Bloodstone, you could build some other items, depending on the situation but you can get this after BS if you like Vlads: If no one else is gonna get it then you should, mana and health regen is good. for you and your team
Skills
Q: Whirling Death: This is a AWESOME nuke. You should max this second. The only way to use this is the coolest, while using your w. You could use it to clear lanes too.
W: Timber Chain: This is your primary ability. You max this first. This ability deals PURE DAMAGE, ignores armor, and your feelings. You could escape, chase, and destroy kids dreams with this ability.
E: Reactive Armor: Everytime you take damage, you regen a little quicker and gain some armor, max this last. Pretty decent passive.
R: Chakram: CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT! Timbers ult is so cool. Clear lanes with this, use it with timber chain, throw it out then pull it back real quick for some good damage while laning. The only con is that you can aa when the ult is out, but when will that happen?
Team Work
When teamfights erupt just throw about your chakram, then unistall dota and go to Burger King or something.
You should use your abilities to pick off people or use your ult to slow enemies down if they try to escape. Communication wins games.
Summary
Thats about it. Oh! That’s right, if you have a mic scream CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT non-stop. Trust me, it works.
