This week’s update comes a little earlier than usual. This week is Thanksgiving here in the US so we are taking a few days off.

But even if you don’t live in the US, I’m sure you will be thankful for all the great games that will come out of this weekend’s DreamHack Dota 2 Corsair Vengeance Cup. You will be able to watch every single game for free inside the client so get your bathrobe and bucket of turkey ready because this is going to be great.

Also available is a ticket for Star Series Star Ladder Season 4, v1lat’s at it again and the series is heating up! Past games will be tagged so they should start showing up soon, alongside with any new games.

Another reason to be thankful is the new Battle Point bonus you will get for playing Dota 2 games while in a party during this week. The bonus goes up depending on how many friends are with you in the party so it is time to let bygones be bygones and make those points rain.

And if you’re one of those artistic Dota 2 fans, we’ve just updated the Beastmaster workshop data to be compatible with the latest model changes. Some head and arm items might have to be slightly adjusted to match the new base.

See you next week!

Slark, who goes there?

Today’s update brings Diretide to a close, which means that it’s also Hatching Day! If you’ve been spending time sitting on some eggs like a mother hen, you’ll see a new option to hatch them. Who knows what will emerge?

This week we’ve got a new hero, and he’s a lovable little ball of claws and teeth – Slark! Enjoy mauling your enemies and then disappearing in a cloud of smoke, all while cackling like a deranged magician.

We’ve made some UI improvements this week too. We now have a chat wheel for communicating with your teammates so you can tell them just how a great a job they’re doing, and any message sent through the chat wheel is translated by wizards to each player’s language.

If you have suggestions for additional phrases for the chat wheel, you can submit them here. We’ll be incorporating that feedback in future patches. Also, if you reset your keybinds, there are now some helpful default templates on the player options screen that you can select from.

Our film department has also put together a recap of The International 2012, which you can watch here. They’re still hard at work on the documentary about The International 2011, Free to Play.

Finally, we’ve been getting so many great submissions from the Polycount Contest that we’ve decided to extend it by two weeks. The new submission deadline is December 3rd. Head over to the workshop to see some of the great work they’ve been doing!

As if that weren’t enough, here are some patch notes.

A Cornea-copia of Wards

As all you pro Dota 2 players out there know, the most important skill to develop is map awareness. Now there’s no easier way to look cool while winning games thanks to your new found skill than by checking out these freshly made Wards.

Also to be found in today’s update is the option to start games in Reverse Captain’s Mode when creating a practice lobby. In this mode Captain’s pick the heroes they want the other team to play, resulting in either hilarious or painful games. And what better way to show off this new mode than by checking out the atoD 2 tournament? Watch Pro teams like Na’Vi, mTw and Zero play heroes that don’t usually get a chance to shine.

Oh, perhaps you’re looking for this?

Diret > October 30, 2012 – Dota Team

Candy! Greevils! Treats! 50 foot tall tricksters! We are not responsible for any loss of sleep caused by nightmares now that the Diretide is here!

Not only will you be able to play a brand new game mode inside Dota 2 but you’ll also find that the regular Dota 2 map suddenly got spookier! Check here for details.

This is our first seasonal event and as always we would love to hear what you think.

Twice the Horns!

Lord Magnataur’s office (also known as LOMA) would like you all to know that Centaur Warrunner’s abundance of horns is all a show and that one is enough.

Along with the Centaur Warrunner, you will also find parity with the latest Dota 6.76 update, including changes to the greatest hero of them all (you know who).

In other news, the G-1 Championship League started this week and we have already seen a good number of great games. You can find a pass for it in the Dota 2 store.

For the latest changelog, hoof it over here.

A cloven skull for the cloven hooved

One of the new features you will find in today’s update is the Hall of Fame:

Interested in learning how to play a particular hero? The Hall of Fame will only list the best players currently active in the Dota 2 community, so if you’re looking to improve your play these guys are a good source of knowledge.

Also, If you’re like us, then you love seeing the awesome items the community has been able to create for the Dota 2 workshop. Last week we announced the Dota 2 Polycount Contest, and more than a few excellent productions have already caught our eye. Here’s a few examples and be sure to head over to their forums for more!

If you’re thinking of making items on your own, be sure to check out our new guide on authoring shader masks. No longer will you wake up in the middle of the night wondering how to make high quality masks for your cosmetic or courier.

A lot or a little?

The parents’ gu >

The game’s structure encourages communication and teamwork between players.

The game features a large cast of eclectic characters to play, each with its own unique play style and lore. But in terms of gameplay, there’s no sort of character development, and concepts like “good” and “evil” don’t come into play when teaming up for matches.

While the gameplay is essentially point and click, there are a lot of intricacies involved in both character development and tactical gameplay. The game doesn’t just rely on forethought and planning, but also adjusting strategies on the fly to take advantage of a teammate’s developed strength or an enemy’s sudden weakness.

There’s a fair amount of violence in each match, with players and other characters fighting against each other using fantasy weapons and magical spells. Killed players simply respawn after a short time at their team’s base, while other defeated creatures simply fade from the battlefield with minimal bloodshed.

Some characters, particularly female ones, are shown in skimpy or non-existent clothing, though the game’s scale keeps most details from being noticeable outside of character portraits.

There’s no profanity in the game’s dialogue, but the online team-based nature of the game requires regular communication with other real-world players. This could expose younger players to profanity and offensive comments during online chats.

The game is free-to-play, and unlike other games in the genre, all heroes are available to play from the onset. Players can purchase cosmetic skins for the characters they like by the in-game shop.

Some characters are shown smoking pipes and drinking various concoctions.

What parents need to know

Parents need to know that Dota 2 (or Defense of the Ancients 2) is a free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, available for download on Windows, Mac OS, and Linux-based computers. Players compete against each other in 5v5 fantasy combat to destroy the opposing side’s base while defending their own from attack. Violence is a steady occurrence, with characters fighting each other with a mix of fantasy weapons and magical abilities. While there’s lots of combat, there’s little graphic violence or blood. The game’s free-to-play, with its full roster of more than one hundred characters available to play from the onset, though players can spend money in-game to gain access to unique cosmetic skins and other add-ons. Parents should also be aware that, due to the game’s online and competitive nature, younger players could be exposed to offensive comments and profanity via in-game chat with other players.

Stay up to date on new reviews.

Great game for my k >Better than first person shooters and is just as fun for my kids to teach me. Not too toxic as you can just mute the voice chat.

good but violent

What’s it about?

The fantasy battle for dominance continues in DOTA 2, the free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena where two teams of five face off against each other and the environment for control of the landscape. With more than one hundred different characters to choose from, each with its own unique set of abilities and specific role to play, you must work together with your patchwork team of other heroes and develop key strategies in real-time. Your objective? To push forward and take control of your opponents’ “Ancient,” a base of operation and the source of immense magical power. Of course, your opponents have the same idea. Dota 2 tv online It’s a constant balance of offense and defense, of attacks and counter attacks, testing team strategy and skill in the heat of epic fantasy battle. Whose team will reign supreme and command the Ancients?

Is it any good?

There are all kinds of competitive online games on the market, but one of the biggest genres is the multiplayer online battle arena, or MOBA, style. The first Dota (which stands for “Defense of the Ancients”) originally began as a mod for Blizzard’s WarCraft III and was one of major pioneers for the genre, but Dota 2 ditched the mod route in favor of a standalone game built from the ground up, improving on everything that came before. The result wound up being a highly polished, intricate strategy game that didn’t just cement the foundation of the MOBA genre, but also managed to stand the test of time and continue to thrive even years after its release. While Dota 2 might have helped lay to groundwork for MOBA games, there’s a lot in the game that makes it stand out from the crowd. It’s got a massive roster of characters to choose from, over one hundred in total, and yet each one still manages to feel distinct from the others in ability, function, and presentation. Best of all, there’s no restriction on who to play. Right from the start, all the heroes are unlocked, opening up a veritable buffet of options to play with.

The only real issue with the game is that it’s difficult to jump into as a newcomer, due to the established community. While it’s not nearly as toxic as some online games, there still seems to be an assumption that players have a certain level of experience already. And in the heat of a match, some players will occasionally lose their cool. Still, players can bypass this by grabbing some friends and learning the intricacies of the game playing against A. I. controlled bots and by trying out heroes in a testbed “demo” mode. It takes some time and practice to really understand the ins and outs of Dota 2, especially if you’re unfamiliar with the MOBA genre, but it’s well worth the investment. Working with a good team and finding the right mix of players makes for a great online experience and an exhilarating rush that’s hard to resist. And considering just how much players get without ever needing to spend a dime, Dota 2 makes for a near perfect way to get your feet wet before diving into the great big ocean of MOBA games out there.

Talk to your k >

Families can talk about online competition and teamwork. What are some positive ways to act and behave in online competitive matches? What are some ways that good communication can help with teamwork?

How does the free-to-play model help to draw in a larger audience for games? How do these games encourage players to spend money within the game?

Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, is a melee agility hero, best known for his slippery nature and his ability to do Mischief, deceiving his enemies by turning into trees and other objects. Armed with his magic extending staff, the Monkey King slams the ground with Boundless Strikes, and leaps to the treetops to have advantage over his foes with Tree Dance. Perched on a tree, he gains a clear view of his surroundings, allowing him to jump down on unsuspecting targets, dealing heavy damage and slowing their escape with Primal Spring. As a carry, the Monkey King is granted extra damage and lifesteal from Jingu Mastery after landing consecutive attacks on his opponents. In a teamfight, at Wukong’s Command an army of clones is sent out across the battlefield to fight for him, while he himself has his armor increased. Together with the help of his clones and his team, the Monkey King is a force to be reckoned with.

Bio [ edit ]

For 500 years the mountain pressed down upon him, only his head free from the crushing weight of the stonewrought prison the elder gods had summoned to halt his childish rebellion. Moss grew along the lines of his exposed face, tufts of grass sprouted from his ears; his vision was framed in wildflowers reaching from the soil around his cheeks. Most thought him long dead, tormented by the gods for waging war against the heavens until naught but his legend survived. But, as the stories go, the Monkey King cannot die.

So he waited. Until the gods came to offer a chance at absolution, he endured. And when they did come to name the price, Sun Wukong accepted their charge: he would accompany a young acolyte on a secret pilgrimage, protect him from demons and dangers of the road, and guide the man home in possession of a coveted relic. Do that, and humbly obey the human’s commands in service to their holy mission, and Wukong would prove himself reformed.

For a change, Sun Wukong fulfilled his oath to the gods with honor, and atoned for the sins of past insurrections. The acolyte, much learned in hardships, was returned to his home temple, relic in hand; and Wukong-finding himself for the first time in proper standing with any gods of consequence-was content for a short while to give up his old thirst for adventure and glory. But the Monkey King was born for mischief. and offending the gods never gets old.

  • Boundless Strike’s effects are instantly applied within its whole area. Dota 2 lina spotlight film There is no travel time.
  • The effect starts 75 range in front of Monkey King and has an actual length of 1125, adding up to 1200 effective length.
    • It can hit units up to 1350 range away (starting distance + length + w >Jingu Mastery , placing the debuff on all hit enemy heroes, or adding to the counter if already debuffed.
    • Despite the audio, Daedalus has still only a chance to proc. Boundless Strike does not guarantee chance-based effects to proc.
    • Since Boundless Strike has an ensured critical hit, crits with a lower value have no effect if they proc (higher crit value takes priority).
  • Jingu Mastery loses a charge whenever Boundless Strike is cast, regardless of whether it hits a unit or not.
    • The bonus attack damage is applied to all hit targets, and it does lifesteal for each hit target, despite using up only one charge.
  • The strike first applies the debuff, then the damage.

Dota 2 is NOW already “famous” with MAPHACK, look into this seriously!!

I have no ideas what the dev is doing, but obviously maphackers are lurking around the game like the mushroom growth after the rain. I am reading a lot of “there is no exact maphack” or “there is not possible to hack the server”, dudes nobody cares whether the “past” has given you whatever result but obviously with the recent patch you provided has given a lot of holes for others to hack.

We who are the one that playing in the game notice most obviously is the god damn butcher, almost every fucking game the butcher are maphacking.
They can see our fucking wards and deward all the time.
Invoker knows the fog very well like the back of his eyes.

If you refuse to believe that your dota 2 game is FULL OF MAPHACKERS AT THE MOMENT like it become DOTA 1, please allow me to give you a suggestion.

WHY DONT YOU GO OBSERVE EVERY PUDGE GAME AND SEE IT FOR YOUR OWN SELF.

Damn the self-rejected-truth behaviour, the maphackers already are filling the games and they still are able to deny it, what a joke man?!

Can you at least provide a single one match id.

Come on man. please, do you understand English or do I need to speak in Mars language? Do you understand what is MASS MAPHACKERS, or not?

It is not one or two
It is not a few
It is not some
It is MASS

And certainly it is NOT a “maybe”. Oh Please, open your god damn eyee for once!

I ditched Dota 1 and come to Dota 2 simply because I am trying of maphackers. I believe 80% of the dota players are the same, which honestly speaking, Dota 1 is more fun as the development there are not commercial like and based on the interest of the gameplay fun. You solved the problem of maphack, that is why we come to you game, that is the greatest sell point of Dota 2. If this game has the same maphack problem as Dota 1.. puff, forget about it man

If there are so many examples then I fail to see why you have such trouble providing at least one.

To me, this all just sounds like a variation of Hanlon’s razor:

“Never attribute to maphacks what can be adequately explained by lack of map awareness.”

Come on man. please, do you understand English or do I need to speak in Mars language? Do you understand what is MASS MAPHACKERS, or not?

I hate to break it to you, but you just suck at map awareness. Provide concrete evidence such as a replay so the mods can observe, but I’m sure you’re just venting to us that you just hate this game because you suck at it.

I don’t think there is maphack to grow like mushroom after rain. But probably it was the Pudge’s 2nd account or other friend to view the game as spectator. Best thing to counter this, I really hope the delay for spectating every game to be extended to 10 minutes or more (longer than the lifespan of observer ward or Roshan respawn).

I don’t know why everyone is acting like map hacks don’t exist, that myth got busted sometime ago.

The replies by the basic members are worthless to read upon. Those who disagree that the god damn fact the server is full of maphackers NOW, these guys are NOT trying to persuade me?

They are trying to persuade the admins that there is nothing wrong with the server. Why are they doing that?
The reason is simple.

You do not understand, long before Dota 2 is created, we players came from Dota 1 for a long time ago. Since when BlueServer is established, since when we started to play Dota. Dota 2 mushroom hate
We lived and countered against Maphack players before Dota2 is even borned.
We played, and we know, there is no need to argue, simple.

The admins of Dota 2 is naive and INEXPERIENCE when it comes to MAPHACK issue.
Look at the replies they provide to the cases where players complain there are maphack. I hate to say it too, but that is the view of the newbies.

Experienced Maphacker WILL NOT let you detected easily.
They will create points of doubt that could clear their names but heck man, like I said, for old players from Dota 1, once we played and encountered these kind of maphackers, we know, we just know man.

We often can see a pudge hoot blindly in a fog even though there is no ward around. You buy a gem and goes there, put all the wards on the high ground, and you see nothing.
Yet the pudge and hoot directly right on where you are standing.

The Dota 2 Dev can KEEP LYING TO THEMSELVES that their server do not release info of players position, and THERE IS NO WAY OF MAPHACKING.
But the fact is, NOW players already found a way to hack the god damn map even without you need to release the players position?

So. The solution is simple.

Please ACCEPT this god damn truth, and START TO FIGURE OUT WHY THEY CAN DO THAT WITHOUT NEEDING THE SERVER TO REVEAL PLAYERS POSITION

A bug has been discovered.
A loop hole has been found.

Your name of Dota 2 “cannot be maphacked” is FINISHED. And we are god damn frustrated needing to play with bunch of MAPHACKERS IN THE GAME

What is Dota 2 Console and Autoexec. cfg and Best Commands

Dota 2 Console and Autoexec. cfg and Best Commands to Use

Before I tell you what are best console commands, let me first share some basic information with you.

What is Dota 2 Console

Dota 2 Console is a window which opens in Dota 2 game just like command prompt in any windows. It allows users to add different commands to change anything related to Dota 2. You can add those commands via Dota 2 Console, or you can use them in autoexec. cfg file.

How to use Dota 2 Console

In old Dota 2 there was a long procedure to activate and use Dota 2 Console, but in Dota 2 reborn, its simple.

  1. Sign in to Steam and launch Dota 2.
  2. Go to Dota 2 settings and further in Options. In bottom right most option, check “Enable Console
  3. Now go to Hotkeys and there select any key for Console.
  4. When in game, you will press that key console will appear.
  5. If you want to close it, then just press that selected key again or click X icon on the top right corner of the console window.

What is autoexec. cfg

If we want to use lots of commands in our console, then its very difficult to type lots of commands each time we start Dota 2. So we can automate that process by adding a new file in our Dota 2 folder. That new file we add is “autoexec. cfg” and we add console commands in it. Each time game starts, this file automatically executes all those commands which are written in autoexec. cfg file.

How to use autoexec. cfg

To make things easy I will suggest you go to Control Panel >> Tools >> Folder Options >> Uncheck – Hide extensions for known file types.

  1. First of all, go to your check if your operating system is 32 bit or 64 bit. Then choose the appropriate path.
    • For 32-bit Windows:C:/Program Files >>Steam>>steamapps >>common >>dota 2 beta >>dota >>cfg
    • For 64-bit Windows:C:/Program Files (x86) >>Steam >>steamapps >>common >>dota 2 beta >>dota>>cfg
  2. In case you have installed the game in any drive other than C, then you should just go to “dota 2 beta >>dota >>cfg”.
  3. Right-click anywhere in the opened window then click New and select Text Document
  4. Once new text document is created, name it autoexec. cfg and then press Enter. So now we have created a blank autoexec. cfg and now it is ready and it has the necessary file type.
  5. Now you must open it with Notepad where you can add or delete your required commands.
  6. When you play your first game, whatever commands you added in your “autoexec. cfg” will also be added automatically in your main configuration file which is “config. cfg“. To stop Dota 2 from doing it, right-click on config. cfg >> Properties >> Attributes >> Read-only.
  7. The file is created now and we need it to load automatically whenever we start Dota 2. To do so, go to Steam ⇒ Library⇒ Right click on Dota 2 – Properties ⇒ Set Launch Options ⇒ add +exec autoexec. cfg

You do not have to remove the quotation marks (“”) from commands

So, now you may ask, what are the commands that I need to add in autoexec. cfg. So you can see below, these are the best to use commands in Dota 2 and most of the commands are used by Pro Dota 2 players like Funn1k and Arteezy. If you want to their files, you can just download the autoexec. cfg files used by these pro players, or you can make a new file for yourself and use whatever you want.

Here is a list of Dota 2 Console Commands which had ALL the commands.

Best Dota 2 Console Commands

For now, I will write down below about console commands which Na’Vi Funn1k and Arteezy use during the game. I will also explain what those commands actually do and why should we use it.

Arteezy’s Autoexec. cfg file

Also here is Arteezy’s old cfg (dont know if still actual):

Copy commands after line below.

con_enable “1” //Enables Console

cl_cmdrate “60” //Amount of updates sent to server per second

cl_updaterate “60” //Amount of updates received from server per second

rate “80000” //Total amount of bandwith dota may use

cl_interp “0” //More network stuff below…

dota_camera_disable_zoom “1” //Can’t zoom camera in

dota_disable_range_finder 0 //Shows spells are within casting range of targeted area/target

dota_minimap_hero_size 1100 //Changes the size of heroes on the minimap

dota_minimap_misclick_time “0” //Removes delay before allowing input on minimap

dota_health_hurt_decay_time_max “0” //Fade time on Damage done/received reduced to instant

bind “F1” “dota_camera_setpos -2273.898682 1232.745483 982.072876” // Top Rune, Camera Bind

bind “F2” “dota_camera_setpos 3035.773438 -2972.680176 966.072937” // Bot Rune, Camera bind

Copy till above line.

These are old commands to activate network information which Funn1k and Arteezy used. But these commands are no more required. Now in Dota 2 Reborn, you can activate it via your Dota 2 settings. Simply go to Dota 2 >> Settings >> Options >> Check show network information. See image below for easy understanding.

Funn1k autoexec. cfg (Source)

Copy commands after line below.

rate “80000” – Max bytes/sec the host can receive data. Dota 2 console key .

cl_updaterate “30” – Number of packets per second of updates you are requesting from the server.

cl_cmdrate “30” – Max number of command packets sent to server per second.

cl_interp “0.05” – Sets the interpolation amount (bounded on low side by server interp ratio settings)..

cl_interp_ratio “2” – Sets the interpolation amount.

cl_smooth “1” – Smooth view/eye origin after prediction errors.

cl_smoothtime “0” – Smooth client’s view after prediction error over this many seconds.

mat_vsync “1” – Force sync to vertical retrace.

r_screenspace “1” – smoothing is on.

con_enable “1” – console is activated.

fps_max “120” – Frame rate limiter..

cl_showfps “1” – Draw fps meter. FPS (Frame per second).

See inventory like old Dota

use the console command “dota_import_steam_inventory_layout” without quotation mark to import your Source 1 inventory placement as it is. It means, the way you placed your items in Source 1 Dota 2, will be added in your Dota 2 Reborn.

So the Dire and the Radiant’s heroes are the same as in the warcraft mod. This isn’t Warcraft 3 anymore Valve, you can make some changes. So fellow steam users, here are the heroes that I think should be moved (you can make your ideas of what heroes should be moved, if you want as well).

Magnus: Radiant (Dire ingame)

I think Magnus should be moved to the Radiant because his story is so sad, this makes him look like that he is a slave of the Dire, and he doesn’t really sound evil, but just another race of animal. Sure he might have a carnivorous diet but who cares.

Troll Warlord: Dire (Radiant ingame)

Unlike Magnus this hero does sound evil compared to the other Radiant heroes (or most of them), also if you look at the stories and myths of trolls you see that they are not good and shouldn’t be on something related to good (the Radiant)

Naga Siren: Dire (Radiant ingame)

Nagas (in Dota) are Slithereen, Dire likes Slithereens and Slardar is a Slithereen, GG. PS: Naga has some mermaid features but again the tales of mermaids and sirens make them cruel.

Dazzle: Radiant (Dire ingame)

One person in the comments sent me this, and I agree. Just because Dazzle is a shadow priest does not mean he is really related to darkness.

Invoker: Radiant (Dire ingame)

So we finish off with Invoker. Lets talk about his spells, Wex, Quas and Exort. In the icons of those spells they appear to Ice (or crystals), Lightning and finally flames. These appear to be related to Crystal Ma >
PS: I might be wrong with some of these and will update.

UPDATE: Removed Riki and Legion. Reason: Aren’t demonic or related to satan in a way. Thanks to blaster56745

Also, Sven should be Dire.

First of all, I doubt Valve would change this for legacy purposes, butI agree with Magnus and Troll Warlord.

I kind of agree with RIki as well. Whereas Bounty Hunter makes it clear that he’s working for “The Realm,” which I presume is like the “law” of Radiantland, Riki pretty much just kills whomever he’s paid to (which Bounty Hunter does as well, essentially, but at his his motives are a little more righteous). I agree that they’d make good rivals.

Another one I’d add is Dazzle. The only thing “dark” or “evil” about him is that he’s a Shadow Priest, but only the name seems dark and he doesn’t really do any bad. In fact, all he does is heal people and keep them alive. His lore even says that Poison Touch is one of the only offensive spells he knows. He even brought Huskar back from the dead (it just so happened that Huskar didn’t actually want to be resurrected).

Meepo doesn’t really seem to be the kind of hamster that would take sides, but he still seems more Radiant than Dire to me.

On the other hand, Morphling seems more Dire to me. The first thing he does upon reaching Dotaland is copy and kill the closest creature. Even though he’s “natural” and so would seem to fit on the Radiant side, he’s so chaotic that I’d say he’s more Dire.

First, I thought that in the original DotA there was a 3rd nuetral faction, where a lot of the morally grey heroes hung out, and second, does it really matter? The Dire/Radiant divide has absolutely no effect on anything mechanical at all.

In Dota, there was Sentinel (Radiant) and Scourge (Dire), and the default game mode only allowed you to pick Radiant heroes if you were on the Radiant team and likewise for Dire.

So it doesn’t really matter anymore, but it’s just kind of a nice lore thing.

1. Radiant and Dire aren’t good and evil, respectively. For an example you missed, look at Visage.

2. Tresdin and Rikimaru aren’t demons.

Riki: Dire (Radiant ingame)

Well obviously Riki is a demon of course but would also be a rival of certain heroes and be the opposite of Bounty Hunter.

Legion Commander: Dire (Radiant ingame)

So Legion is a demon (Obvious part). Anyways look at the backstory. There was this city called Stonehall which was attacked and destroyed by Tresdin’s army and caused fire to spread. This appears to make her a demon or something related to the Devil. Also her Arcana is a bit demonic. This wouldn’t make her a Radiant hero.

Nagas (in Dota) are snakes and fishes, Dire loves snakes and fishes, GG. PS: Naga has some mermaid features but again the tales of mermaids and sirens make them cruel.

Invoker: Radiant (Dire ingame)

So we finish off with Invoker. Lets talk about his spells, Wex, Quas and Exort. In the icons of those spells they appear to Ice (or crystals), Lightning and finally flames. These appear to be related to Crystal Ma >
PS: I might be wrong with some of these.

Top 5 League champions with the highest presence rates at Worlds 2019 so far

Let’s take a look at the champions with the highest pick/ban rate at Worlds 2019 playoffs.

The 2019 League of Legends World Championship is underway, and the first day of quarterfinals is behind us. With a total of 16 teams participating in the main event, League fans had the opportunity to see numerous champions played at a professional level.

But some champions are loved or hated more than others. Even though teams often ban the champion pools of their enemies, there are a few champions that stick out in the meta and, if not picked, are mostly banned, which gives them a high presence rate at the tournament.

Let’s take a look at the top five champions with the highest presence rate at Worlds 2019 main event so far, and see what it is that makes pro players think of them as the best.

Kayle—78 percent

Kayle was banned in 27 games and picked 18 times during Worlds. She was mostly played on the top and mid lanes, and was even played as an ADC by SKT Telecom T1’s bot laner Park “Teddy” Jin-seong. Hextech Gunblade has remained a mandatory pick for her build at Worlds this year.

Kayle’s strength lies in her ability to split-push with insane speed combined with amazing damage burst. She’s one of the best late-game champions in League with the ability to quickly burst through the enemy’s sustain—which besides split-pushing—makes her great at teamfighting.

Akali—84.5 percent

Akali has so far been banned 29 times and picked 20 times, with the majority of the picks coming from Korean teams. Mid laners did a better job playing her than top laners, and it was DAMWON Gaming’s Heo “ShowMaker” Su that took the game against defending champions Invictus Gaming with Akali.

Akali isn’t mechanically easy to play, but under the pros’ hands, she offers incredible outplay potential through a number of combos. Both her damage and mobility are very high, and she can easily solo-carry a game.

Renekton—84.5 percent

Renekton is another favorable pick for pro players. Teams chose to pick him 13 times and banned him in 36 games. While a standard top laner, World’s surprising strategies brought the Butcher of the Sands in the mid lane for a game, too. His win rate at Worlds is high as well, with 10 victorious games.

Renekton has all the characteristics of a strong top laner. He’s highly mobile, he’s strong from early to late game, he can split-push, and he has targetable crowd control. Besides, the croc is also fairly tanky and has decent sustain.

Qiyana—89.7 percent

Qiyana was either picked or banned almost every game at Worlds. Out of 58 games played so far in total, she was played in 12, and banned in 40. All regions were after Qiyana when she was left open, and she’s been played in jungle, mid, and even top.

Qiyana is a serious damage dealer with amazing teamfight potential with the crowd control on her ultimate. She’s not easy to master which is why she doesn’t receive as much love in regular play. But on a professional stage, she’s a dangerous, highly mobile assassin.

Pantheon—100 percent

From the first game of the Worlds group stage all until the quarterfinals, Pantheon has been present in every draft phase. But he hasn’t been played once. Yes—that’s right, Pantheon’s force has been so overpowering he was banned 58 out of 58 games played in the main event.

Pantheon can torment almost any opponent in the early game with a targetable stun, immunity, and high damage. His ultimate allows for excessive pressure across the map and fits into almost any team composition. It’s clear why top tier teams wouldn’t want to play against the spartan warrior.
