Traxex lives a solitary existence, and is sometimes referred to as the Lone Traveler. [1]
Traxex roams a secret glade in the forest, with a secret passage underneath lit by glowing crystals. There, she found a bow formed from crystal. [2]
Traxex is part of the Boreal Watch. [3]
Traxex admires the Sylvan Guard, and once contemplated joining them because of their stylish gloves. [4]
Traxex goes trophy hunting for shadowcats. [5]
Traxex once defeated a snow demon who sought to challenge her. [6]
Traxex worships a certain divine owl spirit, perhaps learned from the Drow. She once dreamt of the spirit, and woke up with a bow next to her in a bed of leaves. [7]
Traxex has been heard to say “And why shouldn’t I?”, to absolutely no one. [8]
Traxex may have ventured north, perhaps to Icewrack or The Barrier, where she encountered a great white wolf spirit. Only one archer was able to bring down the beast, possibly the Drow Ranger herself. [9]
Traxex is a member of the Kha-Ren. [10]

The Bloodroot Tree [ edit ]
Seeking materials for a new weapon, Traxex descended underground to meet her Drow brethren. With full understanding of Drow etiquette and ceremony, she knew the proper way to ask for a branch of a bloodroot tree, which was sacred to the Drow. A white branch was granted to her, which she used to craft into a new bow. [11]
Relationships [ edit ]
Lyralei is Traxex’s main rival, and often says mean things about her. [12] According to Lyralei, Traxex is an “emotionally vacant husk of perpetual sadness”. [13] Traxex shoots back by calling Lyralei “completely useless”. [14]
Traxex may have a special relationship with Pudge and Slark. [15]

Axe can easily close the distance to Sniper with either Blink Dagger or Shadow Blade .
With Berserker’s Call in combination with Counter Helix and Battle Hunger , Axe can make short work of Sniper, finishing him off easily with Culling Blade due to his low HP & high attack speed in the late game.
Sniper is suspectible to being ganked by Bloodseeker, who can easily kill Sniper due to his lack of mobility and escape mechanisms.
Even if Sniper builds mobility items, Bloodseeker can prevent and even punish Sniper from/for using them with Rupture ; Sniper is forced to stand still with Shadow Blade , while Hurricane Pike and Blink Dagger deals damage if he attempts to use them while Ruptured.
Bounty Hunter can use Shadow Walk to get close, and Jinada can do massive damage and slow down Sniper on the first attack.
Track gives additional speed to Bounty Hunter and makes Shadow Blade useless, allowing Bounty Hunter to easily kill him with a few attacks.
A Blink Dagger combined with Hoof Stomp can be used to catch Sniper.
Centaur can also utilize Stampede to cover the distance.
Double Edge can easily finish off Sniper after Centaur initiates on him.
Retaliate punishes Sniper for focusing Centaur in teamfights.
Clockwerk can easily close the distance to Sniper using Hookshot and trap him with Power Cogs .
Even though Sniper is a natural Hurricane Pike carrier, Sniper’s low health usually means Clockwerk can finish him off with Battery Assault and Rocket Flare .
Ember Spirit can close the distance between Sniper easily with his Activate Fire Remnant and further keep Sniper in place with Searing Chains .
With the help of Aghanim’s Scepter , Sniper cannot outrun Ember Spirit or chase him, even if Sniper builds mobility items.
Invoker’s arsenal of magical spells are troublesome for Sniper who has low HP and high armor, which does not benefit him much against Invoker.
Bes >Cold Snap , preventing him from reacting.
Lifestealer can close the distance to Sniper by using Infest on a fast or durable creep to tank Sniper’s damage.
Open Wounds will reduce Sniper’s mobility heavily, and Rage ‘s attack speed bonus helps in taking down Sniper.
Being mostly a physical damage dealer, Sniper’s effectiveness is greatly reduced by Omniknight’s Guardian Angel .
Omniknight can also protect an ally from being finished off by Assassinate by using Purification .
Phantom Strike allows her to jump on Sniper with increased attack speed.
Coup de Grace and Desolator shreds Sniper’s low health and armor.
Blur can be activated to get within Phantom Strike’s range, surprising Sniper before he has a chance to react. Its passive also reduces Sniper’s overall effectiveness against Phantom Assassin, prov >Monkey King Bar .
Phantom Rush grants Phantom Lancer the mobility to close in the distance between Sniper.
Phantom Lancer can dispel Sniper’s Assassinate easily with Doppelganger and causes confusion to Sniper with the latter effect of creating an additional of 2 illusions.
Phantom Lancer’s Juxtapose easily can overwhelm Sniper, as his damage is mostly single-targeted.
Pudge’s Meat Hook allows him to bring Sniper in the m >Dismember can lock Sniper down, which makes him highly vulnerable and gives enough time for Pudge to kill him alone.
Slardar can use Guardian Sprint with Blink Dagger or Shadow Blade to get close, and Slithereen Crush will stun Sniper, making him vulnerable to Slardar’s teammates.
Corrosive Haze lowers Sniper’s armor and makes Sniper’s Shadow Blade useless, easily killing him with a few attacks.
Slark is a natural Shadow Blade carrier, and with Pounce Sniper has no opportunity to escape or react.
With Essence Shift and Shadow Dance , Slark will easily win a fight against Sniper.
Haunt instantly allows her to get up and close with Sniper, and Spectral Dagger makes it difficult to escape from her.
Spectre outcarries Sniper in the late game, so Sniper must try to end the game early before Spectre comes online.
Spirit Breaker can charge towards Sniper from anywhere on the map with Charge of Darkness .
Greater Bash deals magical damage, which can prove dangerous to Sniper and his low health.
Both previous abilities combined with Nether Strike ensures that Spirit Breaker can easily solo kill Sniper.
Storm Spirit can close the distance towards Sniper very easily with his ultimate Ball Lightning .
Snowball allows Tusk to move himself and allies towards Sniper whilst invulnerable and h >Ice Shards may also block pathing for Sniper as he has no means of moving through obstacles. In addition, Tag Team can hinder Sniper’s escape.
Nethertoxin breaks Sniper’s passives.
Viper Strike together with Poison Attack can slow Sniper and tears through his low health and mobility.
Shukuchi allows Weaver to close the gap between himself and Sniper with high speed, and to maneuver through teamfights to get on top of him.
A combination of The Swarm and Desolator tears through Sniper’s low armor.
Others [ edit ]
Heroes with high mobility can approach Sniper: Anti-Mage , Earth Spirit , Io , Nature’s Prophet , Pangolier , Puck , Queen of Pain and most notably Riki .
Heroes with catch to disrupt Sniper’s positioning and deliver him into the enemies: Batrider , Disruptor , Pudge , Vengeful Spirit
Items [ edit ]
Blade Mail returns all the damage Sniper deals, and the duration of it is often more than enough to either kill Sniper, or leave him low on HP.
Eul’s Scepter of Divinity can disjoint Assassinate if timed correctly, as you have
4 seconds to react before being hit.
Smoke of Deceit disables True Sight from Assassinate on target.
Linken’s Sphere blocks Assassinate on impact.
Blink Dagger capable of closing gap between user and Sniper very fast and disjointing Assassinate.

Chaos Bolt travels at a speed of 700.
Stun duration and raw damage values are shown above the target’s head upon hit (visible to allies and enemies), with the duration being shown as a rounded integer.
However, the actual stun duration is not by exact seconds — it ranges between the given values (e. g. at level 1, it could stun for 1.74 seconds).
Damage and stun values are inversely related, meaning the longer the stun is, the less damage it deals and vice versa. Chaos knight dota 2 reddit trade
This means the damage decreases by 9.47/8.46/7.88/7.5 per each additional 0.1 seconds of stun.

The bolt first applies the debuff, then the damage.
Reality Rift does not disjoint projectiles.
Teleports Chaos Knight to a point 250/300/350/400 range away from the target’s original position, towards Chaos Knight’s original cast location, but not beyond it.
The target is teleported 62 range in front of that location, so they effectively get pulled by 188/238/288/338 range.
Chaos Knight’s illusions are located around the target from random angles, with same distance to it as Chaos Knight.
The location is determined at the beginning of the cast.
A visual effect while casting denotes the point at which Chaos Knight and his target will land.
Also plays a visual effect at the location of any nearby allied illusions while casting, even illusions not actually owned by Chaos Knight.
If the enemy has vision of Chaos Knight or the target, these visual effects can be seen through fog.
Chaos Knight and his illusions are made to face his target and are issued an attack order against the target.
When cast on Roshan , Chaos Knight and his illusions still get moved, but Roshan does not.
The slow debuff is applied to the target upon cast. Chaos Knight does not need to attack it in order to place the debuff.
The slow from successive casts does not stack, only the duration gets refreshed.
Does not interrupt the target’s channeling spells.
If two sources of critical strike trigger at the same time, the higher multiplier has priority.
Stacks additively with other sources of lifesteal.
Does not trigger upon attacking wards, buildings, and allies.
The sound and particles play upon start of the attack, not when the attack lands.
Evaded or missed attacks do not cause the ability to go on cooldown.
Only the cooldown reduction from the level 25 talent is displayed. The level 15 talent can further reduce this to 1,7 (3,4 without the level 25 talent).
Disjoints projectiles upon cast.
Chaos Knight is invulnerable, hidden and spell immune during the split time.
Applies a basic dispel on Chaos Knight upon cast.
Resets current attack and spell targeting priorities on Chaos Knight.
After the split time, Chaos Knight reappears with his illusions.
The reappear locations are based on Chaos Knight’s position upon cast, with one appearing at the cast location, and the others north, east, south or west from that point.
This means when spawning 3 illusions, the formation is T-shaped.
The distance in between each is 135 range.
Though the formation is always the same, Chaos Knight and his illusions take a random position in the formation and have all the same facing angle.
Orders the caster ( or target) to stop after the split time, canceling all queued orders, and orders given during the split time.
Recasting Phantasm replaces the illusions from the previous cast, no matter under whose control they are.
When upgraded, Phantasm can target allies, creating illusions of them, which then are under Chaos Knight’s control.
Applies all the effects (disjoint, basic dispel) to the target as well. It also turns invulnerable and hidden shortly, and has a chance to spawn an extra illusion.
Double-tapping the ability automatically targets self.
Can also be cast on illusions and clones. Cannot be cast on creep-heroes.
The Earthshaker super push does NOT work anymore due to the Dota 6.81 patch.
Dota 2 6.81 Changelog
Earthshaker – Creeps no longer try to path around Fissure; they will wait for it to disappear
Take advantage of your starting 603 gold by doing the:
a) Quelling Blade + Clarity Potions Build
This is the standard self-sufficient build. Quelling Blade x 1 = 225 gold Clarity Potion x 7 = 350 gold Gold spent: 575 gold
b) Quelling Blade + Observer Ward + Clarity Potions Build
This build blocks the Dire jungle pulls in order to give the enemy lane 0 EXP. Quelling Blade x 1 = 225 gold Clarity Potion x 4 = 200 gold Observer Ward x 1 = 150 gold Gold spent: 575 gold
Those opting to use build B has to ask your lane partner to plant the wards since there’s no ample time to cut trees if you do it yourself. Use the team’s courier to replenish clarity potions if necessary.
If you want to shutdown Dire’s lane experience until the super push, you can have their jungle blocked in order to prevent them from pulling their creeps into the jungle.
This is an optional step but it makes it harder for the enemy to stop the super push.
Specific trees must be cut in order to create a pathway for the diverted Radiant creeps.
First, you must go stand infront of the lantern.
Those were the bare minimum cuts.
Here’s the optimal cut. (Yes, it will be done before the 1st wave reaches the spot) Cleared Trees
1. Aim your Fissure on this stone and use the skill on X:09 and X:39
2. Let the creeps enter your pathway.
3. Stand in this position to prevent the creeps from getting out.
4. When the clock hits X:08 or X:38, move your hero to the aiming spot from step 1.
5. Rinse and repeat until 3:00 or 3:30
Warning: If you don’t let them push right away, the trees will regrow to trap your creeps.
The best time to unleash the creeps is when a catapult has spawned.
If the enemy team is doing this to you, you can:
1) Bypass the Tier 1 Radiant tower and destroy the trees trapping the creeps. Classification: Preventive measures
2) Attack Earthshaker while he is using a Clarity Potion Classification: Preventive measures
3) Pull the Radiant creeps to the jungle when they arrive. Classification: Aftermath response
4) Pull the Radiant creeps all the way to the Dire well / Tier 2 tower (Invulnerable) Classification: Aftermath response
Enemy Tiny pulling the creeps to the jungle all the way to the base.
Good Laning Allies: – Axe (Tank) or Huskar (Tank plus Burning Spear harassment during the push)
Good Allies: (Join the push when the army is released.) – Nature’s Prophet (Teleport to the lane during the push and join the festivities) – Leshrac (Destroying towers just got faster)
When played right: Tier 1 and Tier 2 towers go down fast. Surprised enemy heroes with no boots / no escape mechanism die if trapped.
Back in Warcraft DotA, permanent creep blocks were banned in tournaments. Creeps bugged out and became paralyzed after prolonged blocking.
In Dota 2, creeps have been programmed to move if it sees a path. There’s no rule banning this trick.
(Team Liquid’s Dota 2 Team Manager after the TI3 briefing)
“Blocking creeps with abilities (Earthshaker) is allowed. All things that are in the game will be allowed” – Robin Nymann @robinnymann, Team Liquid Dota 2 Manager
Credits to: pulezan of r dota2 for discovering this in Dota 2.
Since not a lot of people have discovered how to counter the trick at the time it was published, those who did the trick and knew what they were doing have been able to snatch some wins.
The competitive viability of this trick isn’t known. (We’ll wait until some creative professional team has the guts to include this in their strategy.)

A note about myself: I’m currently 4.2k mmr and have been playing since dota 1 (took many year long breaks). My viper often does very well in games and I have been requested by a couple of people to make a guide.
Viper is a naturally tanky hero (via corrosive skin) with very high early-mid game carry potential. One of the major “setbacks” people complain about the hero is that he falls off during the late game because he does not have a damage boosting ability or stun. However, this guide and build aims to alleviate that concern and ensure that viper is the strongest hero in the game from start to finish.
The skill build and itemization of viper aims to outplay your opponents. In other words, you do not need to be too agressive in the lane other than harassing with your poison attack (Q). However, when the other team tries to be agressive, you can easily turn the fight into 2-3 kills.
I think viper is strongest in an agressive trilane with a stun. You can secure easy kills this way and also keep down an enemy (most likely melee) carry underfarmed. Viper is also a strong mid, but I think there are several other heros that can benefit more from the lane and rune uses.
Please keep in mind, DOTA is a situational game. This gu >
Skills
This skill build aims at maxing corrosive skin. Corrosive skin is one of the best abilities in the early game as it does TONS of damage to enemy heros and provides you extra tankiness that they are not accounting for when they are trying to gank or kill you.
I first level poison attack to be able to orb walk enemy heros in the lane to assert lane dominance. This is important as you want to instill fear into your opponent. They will be forced to play more passive allowing you to secure easy last hits. However, be sure not to drain your mana pool at lvl 1, a couple poison attacks and normal right clicks should do the trick.
I then level nethertoxin at level 2 so that last hitting is easier. Hard carries need farm and early last hits are a necessity.
I then max corrosive skin. However, if you are looking for a kill before level 6, you may want to get 2 levels of poison attack (after at least one level of corrosive skin) Assuming you understand how to orb walk, you can easily get kills this way.
Itemization
The starting items aim to provide you enough regen in the lane until at least level 6. Most of the time if you are asserting your lane dominance, you will not even need to use that much regen. Getting a quick Ring of Basilius allows you to have enough mana regen to orb walk effectively. Then, power treads + wand give you more survivability and attack speed to kill heros. Finishing your aquila gives you additional hp and damage before you rush into mekanism, which will give you a good burst heal to continue to outplay your opponents.
The previous items or “early game” viper is a pretty standard build. The next item, however, is one that I think is ABSOLUTELY VITAL for viper to become that late game threat. Without it, viper “falls off” and is “useless” late game: Mjolnir. This item is pretty much made for viper. Viper is a: slow farmer, slow attack speed without items, single target, and a tank. Mjolnir: increases farming speed, increases attack speed, prov > Once you get your Mek + Mjolnir, you are in your most effective stage of the game (add a bkb and you’re even stronger, but keep in mind other heros will have items as well). You WANT TO take team fights. Nobody will realize how much damage you do until you get a triple kill, ultra kill, rampage.
Many people complain that the difference between maelstorm and mjolnir is not that great, but Mjolnir greatly improves viper’s attack speed (which is lacking without it) and also the extra electric bounces are clutch for getting kills of fleeing heros. Additionally, on use proc is great as mentioned above.
After the Mjolnir, you will either want to get a Black King Bar / Butterfly / MKB. Most likely, BKB will increase your survivability more. If an enemy hero has a butterfly, you will want to get an MKB. After that, it really depends on what your team needs for fights: Burst: Crits Disable: Hex Tank: Heart / AC
Remember, you can sell your mek once it gets to 60 mins.
WHAT ABOUT AGHANIM’S?
I am personally not a huge fan of Aghanim’s. I have not included in the core part of the guide because we are aiming to make viper a hard carry. However, DOTA is a situational game and sometimes Aghanim’s is the correct item choice.
Let’s go over the benefits of Aghanim’s 1) Increases the range of Viper Strike (from 500) to 900 2) Decreases the cooldown of Viper Strike from (80/50/30) to 12 seconds. 3) Decreases the manacost of Viper Strike from (125/175/250) to 125.
While it may seem that all these three benefits makes Aghanims a MUST, the practical / in-game reality of the benefits are kind of diminished. Most DOTA teamfights are not going to last more than 12 seconds, so you will only get 2 Viper strikes off in some teamfights. but not many. Also, by that point the enemy carry will already be dead (if you are focusing them) and you will be using viper strike on a support, who you would probably be able to kill anyways. I do think that the biggest upgrade of Aghanims is the range. This provides you a HUGE initiation / pickoff range. If your team is lacking in a frontline tank / initiator aghs may in fact be a good item.
Most players think that Aghanims is good when the enemy team has melee carries. However, the opposite is true. Aghanims is good when the enemy team has ranged carries – you get additional range to get to them so they cannot kite you (e. g., sniper, drow, etc.)
However, in comparison to other items that you could get (e. g., mjolnir) you are losing a TON of dps. I think that if you do in fact dec >
Playstyle
As mentioned before, you are aiming to outplay your opponents. Just farm early game and always carry a tp. After you get your mek you can farm the jungle pretty effectively with corrosive skin. When you get your maelstorm you should be consistently taking advantage of the jungle. It is free gold. If your team complains about you farming, ignore them, just make sure to show up to team fights and get triple kills there. A viper with a gold lead is vital to carrying the game.
During teamfights, make sure you use your viper strike on the enemy carry / right clicker. This will slow down their dps and keep your team alive. You want to play kind of like a sniper. *****The longer you stay alive in fights, the more damage you will do****** Sit in the back and right click. You can place your mjolnir proc on your tank (axe, centaur, etc.) if you think that will prov >

Item’s explanations
Carry Pudge Build
Bottle –> You need regen early on, espescially mana regen because you skill take almost all you mana. Meracle dota 2 pudge item Very usefull to rune control middle lane
Urn of shadows –> Great Hp regen when your running around for gank. You can regen your life even if you didnt get the rune. Cast on enemy hero do a good damage output early game so don’t be affraid to use it on enemies.
