Introduction to Rattletrap
Clockwerk used to be a top pick, right now he’s a situationnal hero but still, a verry good and agressive initiator / ganker. His capacity to push double lanes with his Rocket Flare , kill runners and initiate from far far far away makes him a verry good pick. He can be a good solution to counter Shadow Fiend or Tinker m >
Skills
This skill is pretty good in conjunction with power coqs. It mini-stun the target while you’re wacking on him. So it will disable any “channeled” or escape mechanics your ennemies would like to pull on you. It is also a good “chasing” ability. If you’re chasing someone, having Battery Assault ON means they won’t escape.
Good escape tool by blocking ramps/jungle paths, good ganking tool since they’ll be imprisonned with you for 6 seconds at the lastest levels, good saving tool by traping one of your chased friends and than hitting one of your coqs to escape. It’s really annoying 🙂
Pushing, farming, killing, harassing, scouting. is there something you can’t do with this skill? Hell it will seduce women for you. ok maybe not but I hope you understand! 🙂
While you’re pushing a lane, you can push another by using this skill. You can last it using this skill, you can a running by timing your skill with his movements, you can harass ennemies and you can scout by giving vision with your flare.
Use this ability to scount the runes each 2 mins for your mid if he doesn’t have wards (pub matches)
From point A to point B everywhere on the map (LOL) 😛 It’s a good initiation tool and will get your kills.
When you get Aghanim’s Scepter it’s also a good 15 sec escape.
The only drawback is that it can be attached to creeps, so you’ll need a clear line to use this skill. Use Rocket Flare to give vision and click on the ennemy hero for instant gratification.
Skill builds
Get first blood:
This skill build gives you the “opportinity” to make the first blood happen in your lane. It also gives you good harass/farming capacities. It’s a bit of a gambling build but I love it the most.
Agressive lane / mid :
This is a good anti tri-lane build. It was popularised 2 years ago by the chinese and it works wonderful vs agressive m >
Item build
[ GAME TIMER : – 00:30 ]
2x Circlet , 2x Tango , 1x Clarity : Gives you the most stats, you can also transform any of your circlets into Bracer if your farm isn’t going well. Note: you might want to conc > Gauntlets of Strength instead of Circlet if you plan on building an Urn of Shadows which isn’t a bad item on Clockwerk .
3x Iron Branch , 1x Stout Shield , 1x Healing Salve , 1x Tango : Pretty good if you expect alot of “melee action” in the lane. The shield will buy you enough time to get your bottle and win the lane from now on. You’ll get your wand faster this way.
3x Iron Branch , 1x Magic Stick , 1x Healing Salve , 1x Tango : If you’re going m > Bottle which is risky since you won’t get any stats. You can use this build vs any “spamming” teams for the lane as well.
Quelling Blade : Only bought from the s > Nature’s Prophet . Verry noobish item.
[ GAME TIMER : 10:00 ]
You should be done with:
Bottle : Gives you mass regen in game for your skills. Magic Wand : Extra survivability, stats and mana on demand. Phase Boots : Mobility to use with Battery Assault and higher melee damage
[ GAME TIMER : 20:00 ]
Fininsh your core:
Aghanim’s Scepter : This will give you health, mana and upgrades your ultimate. Your ultimate will be on a 15 sec cooldown and you will now be able to escape fights with it since it will also attach to team mates.
[ GAME TIMER : 30:00+ ]
From there your goal is to get defensive / offensive items. Choose them accordingly to the ennemie team.
I would get at least one of the folling: Black King Bar or Linken’s Sphere giving you upper hand in your cogs! 😀
Vanguard is worth mentionning. It delays your Aghanim’s Scepter but it gives you early tankiness. Should you get it or not? You’ll have to try for yourself, I don’t most of the time.
How to initiate
To be a good initiator you need those skills:
– Good map awareness (you’ll need a good support for wards) – Speed – Communication (get a mic) – Good laning comprehension (to get your dagger asap) – Know every heroes and their skills – Know every items and their skills
How to initiate ?
– Rocket Flare (to scout) – Hookshot an hero + Power Cogs to imprison him – Battery Assault start laughing – Wack, wack and wack – Finish off any runners with Rocket Flare
When do I initiate ?
You will have to get good vision of the mini-map in order to know WHEN to initiate. Let’s say, you have 4 of your guys in the mid and 3 of them just infront and about to push, this is a good time to initiate. You have your carry near you and they’re 5, this is NOT a good time to initiate. You have 5 of your men against 5 of their men + a tower, it’s debatable and you’ll have to find out when it’s a good time and when it’s not a good time.
You can ONLY initiate when you can CALL IT and when you’re 110% sure your team will win this fight. If you have 2% doupt, it’s cause it’s not a good time to initiate.
Im currently play in 14inch monitor, and mouse logitech g 102 , my mouse dpi 1600 , camera speed 4000, in win 10 mouse properites checlklist enhance but i still feel not super comfortable to click correctly , can u please kindly share ur settings ?
i use 300dpi and 5000 camera speed in game. asus mouse and ultra wide lg monitor. but you should set your setting and its personal. you can also search for dota 2 pros setting and see that. but your mouse must not be so fast so you cant farm or kill someone and not so slow so you miss something for that. and camera speed must be around 5000 (miracle 4780) so you can chase someone easily and look anywhere on minimap.
300 dpi and ultra wide monitor , how can u feel comfortable hahaah okay ill try ur suggest
lol 300 dpi. ultraw >
@-,- its 3500 no 350 sorry 😀 you cant do shit with 300 dpi wtf ? :DD
other people’s mouse settings are not good for you. just find your own. this is not CS, its dota. Dota 2 camera won move with mouse
14 inch monitor? holy crap that sounds so small
14 inch omegalul
My D*** is bigger than your monitor
I still haven’t found my optimal setting. It’s always either too fast or too slow. I also feel the camera move speed cap was unnecessary.
get used to 8k camera speed, it’s the best in my opinion
i cant even handle 3k camera speed anymore
DPI isn’t quite the same thing as sensitivity. Generally you’ll want a high DPI mouse but play with a low sensitivity.
As an exaggeration to explain: Would you rather a mouse that moves 5000px every milimeter, or 1px every milimeter? You’d NEVER aim accurately with the former, but would *eventually* get on target with the later.
You want it as insensitive as possible, while still fast enough to allow yourself to get on target. Personally I use 800 sensitivity on 8200 dpi mouse and 5500 camera, but the settings are all up to your personal preference.
I only explained further because a lot of people seem to think bigger is better, but the opposite is the case with mice.
really? mine is at 2700 sensitivity and god knows what is my dpi lol (on razer synapse) i would like to make it fast as 2700 sensi and i can get this much speed if possible (by lowering sens) how how wait razer taipan white says i’m 8200 dpi
ur mouse is 8200 dpi, but your setting in razer synapse is your sensitivity setting.
so like i said you want high DPI (8200 is high/ which is a good quality laser sensor) but low sensitivity.
IMO 2700 sens is REALLY fucking high, no idea how you play like that, but to each their own I guess. Generally lower sensitivity allows for higher precision.
This is why when you watch, say, pro FPS players, they will have large mouse mats and move their whole arm across the mat when aiming.
Higher DPI = Better quality sensor in your mouse.
Lower Sensitivity = Slower Speed, but higher precision. Find the lowest sensitivity you can while still maintaining an acceptable speed. You’ll have to get used to moving your mouse farther on your mousepad.

Today’s update focuses on improving the matchmaking experience with the restoration of Solo Queue, the addition of Phone Linking, and multiple other adjustments.
Quality matchmaking is a core component of an enjoyable Dota session, and today’s changes work to address several issues that can affect the player experience when queuing for a game.
LINKED PHONE NUMBER
The first major change is that players must register a unique phone number to their account in order to queue for Ranked matches.
Players using multiple accounts create a negative matchmaking experience at all skill brackets, so our goal is to add just enough friction to this process that the number of players doing this will be noticeably reduced. Having more players using their primary accounts will have a positive effect on both Ranked and Unranked Matchmaking.
There will be a two-week grace period from today during which players have time to register a number, but starting on May 4th, accounts without a registered number will no longer be eligible for Ranked play. If a phone number is removed from an account after registration, a new number can be added, but there will be a three-month waiting period before the removed number can be registered on a new account. This is to prevent using the same number on multiple accounts. Online services that provide phone numbers are not allowed.
With the return of the Solo Queue, solo players who enter Ranked Matchmaking can now choose to be matched only with other solo players. Any player who selects this option will be placed into matches where all ten players are queuing solo.
Starting today, if a player’s Solo MMR is higher than their Party MMR, queuing in a party will result in the matchmaker assigning a higher MMR to that player. Effectively, these players will search for a match as if their MMR were halfway between the Solo and Party MMR values.
While the current Party MMR number generally reflects the likelihood that you’ll win a given match correctly, we’ve found that when a Solo MMR is dramatically higher than a Party MMR, the match becomes extremely volatile, resulting in an unpleasant and uncompetitive experience for both teams.
Simply having an even chance to win over the long run does not necessarily correlate to having competitive matches, but this change will make it so the matchmaker is able to take into account both the party teamwork skill component and the individual capability of the players on both teams. With both teams having this same mechanic applied to them, the chance for each team to win over a large sample will still be the same as before, but with reduced volatility on a per-match basis.
This update also includes several changes intended to remove undesirable behavior from the matchmaking pool.
First, being marked for low-priority matches now results in a duration-based ban from the Ranked queue, in addition to the current game-count-based low priority requirement. The ban will start at a low threshold of a few hours, and increase up to four days for players who are very frequently in low priority.
Next, it should go without saying that while the wide variety of playstyles that Dota players bring to a given match will always be welcome, intentionally ruining games for other players is never condoned. To help address concerns in this area, we’ve also added better detection for clear cases of intentional feeding, and will be applying stricter punishments to those who violate this rule.
Finally, we’ve also added detection for users that are botting, and with this update have issued a permanent ban to a large number of recently-detected bot accounts. This should help resolve several areas in which these bot accounts have a negative effect on the experience of the Dota community.
Ranked Matchmaking will no longer be available in South Africa, India, and Dubai. We will update these servers as the unranked populations in these regions grow to the critical mass needed to be able to support splitting the user base into Ranked and Unranked queues.
While there are some players that used these servers for Ranked, the low populations made them prime targets for various Ranked Matchmaking abuses. For the time being, players in these regions will need to join Ranked Matchmaking queues in one of the other nearby supported servers.
Here are the 10 tips for anyone beginning out with Dota 2, it can be an extremely difficult game for new people to start. They see an immense hero pool, hundreds of items and hear about a toxic community of gamers and are instantly put off the game, but it will be awesome if you can power through all of this.
“It’s too much to learn,” cried one of our colleagues, “What if I’m bad?” yelled another. We’ve had enough of problems to start the game so we collected some tips for the gamers who want to get into the realm of Dota 2. But there is an easy way out and you can use Dota 2 boost to start you off with a good stepping, which you can learn more about from the link.
1. Now Listen and Learn
Not all the gamers in DOTA 2 is out to destroy you. These are just people who have spent a lot of time and money in the game and get frustrated when they lose the game. It can happen to anyone.
When you start into your first online game you should be open to learning; ask your teammates for tips, listen to their advice and you’ll gradually start to pick up the basic tips of fighting against another team of gamers online.
2. Start with an easy hero
There are more than 100 heroes in DOTA 2 and not all of them are beginner-friendly so pick wisely. You maybe think Invoker’s sexy hair makes him your ideal hero, but he is not at all. You might think Visage with his flying ghouls look like something out of your beloved comic book, but they are not for sure. There are some heroes in DOTA 2 with a wildly high skill cap; providing the best players to really showcase what they can do in competing games.
You should stay clear of such heroes like the plague; you’ll get tired very quickly, shout a lot and your parents will think about what has happened to the refined child they brought up.
A fair starting hero would be Lich; he has high running speed, some excellent abilities to help your team and some high damage abilities so you’re never out of the business.
3. Use the fog wisely
When you get into a match on DOTA 2 you’ll see a whole load of the fog of war over the game map. It covers the whole other side of the map, much of the middle and even a substantial portion of your side of the map as well.
In this war of fog, you are hidden to the enemy team. You need to know where your enemies can see you and try your best to avoid it. Conversely, you can discover ways to expose the fog of war on your enemy’s side, allowing you and your team to immediately destroy off enemies who are not expecting it. Use the fog and learn it wisely.
4. Eat the tangos and regenerate
At its baseline, DOTA 2 is a remarkably simple game. You destroy things to gather gold and experience and, when you feel enthusiastic, smash down your enemy’s structures until their big one in the base explodes and burns.
Obviously, while playing the game that process you’ll get a lot of various elements, but every game comes to that. You need to maximize that gold and experience increase for yourself.
Running back to base whenever you take the hits will not help you at all; buy yourself some tangos when you spawn in the game use them to eat trees to restore some health so you can stay in the gaming lane.
5. Don’t let other players get into your skin
Let be crystal clear with you; some little gamers will say terrible and offensive things to you in DOTA 2. It doesn’t matter if you’re playing good or acting like aloof. People will tease and try to get you down in broken English, in some languages you’ve never heard or hear about them before and even in excellent English as they suggest things about your sexuality, personality and even they have some ideas about your family anything that they can think of. It get very tiring at times; so don’t be scared to mute the idiots and report gamers you find insulting, offensive or threatening.
Don’t let them get into your skin.
6. You should consider buying Wards
We told you a little bit before about how the map is hidden in the fog. Well, success in games of DOTA 2 rely on being able to see and foretell enemy movements further ahead. If you are in a location on the map where you are enclosed by fog you have a very limited idea of what, if anything, they are coming for you.
But you can buy items called ‘Wards’ which give vision in a reasonably large radius around where you hold them down.
You should know where to place these in major locations and support your team to win the game.
7. Don’t always play a supporting role
There are several classes that heroes fall into, there are just too many to name them all here, but they manage to be determined by how much gold they need to be useful.
As you collect gold you can buy items that make you stronger; supports lead to be the heroes that need the smallest amount of gold to be useful in battles. This makes gamers think they are ideal for beginners; not always.
Some can be very difficult to play and, when you do need hold, many just don’t have the means to get it immediately.
Discuss with your team and ask them what they believe would suit your playing role and technique.
8. You should kill Roshan
Roshan is the large mean-looking dude who is always chilling in his cave, hanging out and appreciating the work that the ten of you are settling in the map.
He is not just sitting there for cosmetic reasons he is important.
When your team believes they’re powerful enough you can attack him and, and if should you win, he drops an item that grants one player on your team another life. In the further stages of games that second life on an extraordinary hero can be very useful and important.
Be cautious though; not only is he powerful, but the opposite team will be observing him closely as well.
9. Protect your base
DOTA 2 does sound very complex but at its ground level it is very simple; protect the enormous glowing building in the center of your base.
The constructions in this game matter more than finding a bit more gold or putting down an extra ward. If your home base is under enemy attack then you better run back to the base and defend it at all costs; your team won’t like any wasting time along the way either.
10. And prepare yourself for a lot of losing
You will definitely not win every battle, just like in life. Statistically speaking you won’t win even 60 percent of your games in DOTA 2. In fact, many of the people tend to settle around a 48-52 percent win proportion. You should accept this in your heart.
At times or most of the time, you’ll have a couple of noob teammates and at times the other team will be better than you simply. Just don’t get too discouraged when you lost a game because you will get better and fight even better in the next game.
Remind yourself about your losses and don’t get too high and mighty when you win the battle – these streaks can come to an end very quickly and you will hit the losing streak again.

The Top 10 Dota 2 Caster Calls
Though they aren’t on the front lines of competition, casters are an invaluable part of it. They explain storylines, give valuable context and occasional game knowledge and most of all, underline the emotion of the most powerful moments in Dota history.
10. It’s a Disasta!
Affectionately dubbed the “six million dollar Echo Slam,” Universe’s game-winning ulti secured TI5 — and $6,634,661 — for EG in a truly epic slam dunk of an Aegis steal.
Almost as famous as the actual play is Tobiwan’s extremely Australian pronouncement of CDEC’s situation.
9. No one has ever done that in the history of Dota!
Before they were known as Alliance, the No Tidehunter roster were already writing their names in the history books with a revolutionary Roshan bait at DreamHack Winter 2012.
Down a game in the best-of-three, NT took an early lead by faking a Level 1 Roshan. They left Admiralbulldog as a sacrificial lamb, then the Swedish soon-to-be legends drew EG into an ambush that netted them two kills and a strong lead.
In case anyone at home didn’t realize amazing this gambit was, Tobiwan made it exactly clear with a caster call that’s almost as famous as the Roshan bait itself.
8. Liqu >
Though neither team would go on to win TI3, the lower bracket slugfest between Team Liquid and LGD Gaming was a slugfest for the ages.
While TL led LGD by almost double the kills by the time the game ended, the final team fight over LGD’s Ancient was certifiably insane and the mania certainly infected the casters as they described the blow by blow action.
7. The whole kit and kaboodle
Tobiwan is one of the most popular casters in Dota and for good reason. Not only is the Australian’s bombastic excitement infectious, but he has a talent for describing plays with turns of phrase straight out of Little House on the Story. Or whatever Australian equivalent exists.
6. Ah Fu! You thief in the night!
Another case of Tobiwan’s Australian accent and folksy sayings creating a legendary moment, there were plenty of ways he could have described LFY’s Ah Fu stealing VP’s Roshan at TI7.
However, none of them would have been as funny as: “Ah Fu! You thief in the night!”
5. 200 minutes
The bout between Cloud9 and SFZ in Star Series Season 12 in 2013 remains the longest pro game in history at 3 hours, 20 minutes and 34 seconds. It was certainly more than ODPixel and Purge bargained for when they agreed to cast the event.
However, the duo took it in good stride despite getting discernibly haggard as the battle ground on… and on. and on. Eventually, OD enlisted the aid of a soundboard to play epic music to raise the energy whenever a team fight broke out.
But the excitement was real when Qwis Ta rushed C9’s Ancient at just over 200 minutes in and brought the ordeal to a close.
4. The Play
A call as legendary as the play it accompanies, one referred to solely as “The Play,” casters LD and Luminous did an excellent job breaking down one of the defining moments in all of Dota. Dota 2 commentary funny sayings
While Na`Vi only won Game 2 of the TI 2 Grand Final against Invictus Gaming, the wombo combo of Black Hole, Blade Fury and Dendi’s stolen Ravage is the true legacy of the tournament in no small part thanks to the casters’ shocked excitement.
Not to mention Dendi jumping out of his seat and yelling like he’d just won his second TI.
3. Ding Ding Ding Motherfucker
Some would say dirty humor is cheap comedy. However, sometimes a perfectly placed cuss can elevate a moment into the realm of legend. Just take the TI6 match between Alliance and Evil Geniuses where LD perfectly punctuated EGM’s last second destruction of EG’s ancient in just seven syllables.
2. WAOW
How does one condense all the action, all the drama, all the sheer emotion of Puck dodging an auto attack in a single weirdly pronounced exclamation of excitement? Just ask LD.
1. TI 3 Finish
The International 2013 was a special tournament. Not only was it the first TI with a crowdfunded prize pool, it was also the crowning achievement of Alliance’s freshman year in Dota. Dota 2 commentary funny sayings The legendary roster of Loda, s4, AdmiralBulldog, EGM and Akke had already won the DreamHack Invitational 2013 and Season 6 of the StarLadder StarSeries Season 6.
After going undefeated in the group stage and dropping only one game in the upper bracket of TI3, the young guns of Alliance faced off against TI 1 champions Na`Vi in a bitter, five-game match in the Grand Final.
It was a grueling epic, and the casters were at their best for every twist and turn right up until the bitter end. Just listen to the emotion as they crown the Kings of the North champions.

Currently on an 0-5 losing streak. Lost 8 our of my last ten games. Had to stop playing AD because I got last pick 3 times in a row. Feel like total ♥♥♥♥.
What do you guys do when nothing seems to go your way?
I don’t I just want to break a few russian faces to feel better but I can’t so I’m just mad.
I guess drugs can help to make pain go away.
Going from 3600 to 2900 and 85% because of russians WILL make you crazy, no medicine will help.
Hmm, I guess if you don’t want to take overdose you can also try Black Metal while playing.
Well, I do this in most games, but if we’re losing, and my team sucks, I just automatically stop caring. Not about the game, or feeding, but about my team. Disregard tower pushing, get farm. Disregard team fights, get farm.
I can’t say how it effects my mmr as I just started using the visible one, and don’t even have a rating, however, it seems like that issue has went away on regular matchmaking. I almost never have a complete trash team, one I can’t carry, or a big streak. It’s much more even. mmr is horrifying so far however.
Don’t play when you’re feeling frustrated
Try and keep in a good mood and encourage your team nomatter how good/bad they are
Many games can be won/lost in the line-up, so pick towards the end and try to find the best clutch pick to perfekt your team composition/counter the enemy
Don’t restrict yourself to one role, be versitile and pick accordingly
Try and predict the lanes before the game starts
Attempt to determine when your team is strong/weak vs when the enemy team is strong/weak and play accordingly
Make sure you’re always carrying a tp
Reflect after games on the areas you need to improve in and take steps to do just that, i. e. “I need to get better at controlling the lane equilibrium” or “I need to be more aware of the time for stacking etc”
Never give up, bad games being completely turned around are really not that uncommon.
Remember that losing streaks happen even to the best, so try to not to let it get you down, but rather play your best and stay motivated just as if you were winning the game

to sum it up just chill, it gets better you always need to put it in your mind that losing and winning happen one after another, you can’t always win and you won’t always lose
but in the game, if you know you are going to lose, lose with honor, dont lose while ♥♥♥♥♥ing on a feeder or russians etc, that way, you can still be a little proud of yourself, that’s what I do 🙂
It’s been six years since The International first debuted as an event at GamesCom in Cologne, Germany with a prize pool of $1.6 million dollars. Since then, the event has carried to the ornate theater of Benaroya Hall then to the 17,000 seat stadium of Key Arena, where players competed for $20.7 million dollars. Over this time there have been quite a few seminal stories, from fans to casters to players from across the globe, that have defined Dota and TI’s history. Before TI7 adds onto this, let’s take a look back at some of these moments.
“It’s A Disaster!”
You don’t have to understand Dota to know something pivotal is happening when it causes Tobi’s voice to screeches into the falsetto register. Tobi screaming “It’s A Disaster” became his trademark line, one that punctuated the moment but also added to its excitement. At this time Dota was still young as a viewing experience, and it was this fresh interplay between the live audience, the casters, and the gamers that started to define Dota as a spectator sport.
TI Gets Crowdfunding
Since Valve introduced crowdfunding, allowing for 25% of revenue generated by the Compendium ($2.50 of $10.00) to be redirected to the prize pool, fans have contributed, over the past 4 years, a sum of $46.6 million dollars to TI winnings ($19.1 million alone last year). That’s $186.4 million spent by fans to watch Dota and a few extra cosmetic knick knacks. This kind of money puts Dota players into their own salary bracket among other esports players. The top 27 highest prize money earners of all time are Dota players.
Sumail’s TI5 Breakthrough
While other Dota stars have found the spotlight in their post-TI afterglow, Sumail’s story was the parable of the American dream. He was an immigrant who found opportunity in America and succeeded. The ethos also carries with it ideals of hard work, determination, and pulling oneself by his bootstraps (or in Sumail’s case, piggybacking on the back of his cousin’s bike because he sold his for internet cafe hours). He became a star in China after DAC, and after TI5 he launched an era of Storm Spirit fever. He landed on Time Magazine’s list of the most influential teens of 2016. Sumail’s success at TI5 was another milestone in Dota 2’s history that organization Evil Geniuses continues to write. EG. Fear was the core of Valve’s documentary for TI1, and PPD was featured in a NYTimes story about the ascent of Dota 2.
Kyxy’s Deny
It’s a shame that kyxy was meme’d into infamy when he denied his team’s own Aegis, but he also deserves some praise. DK vs. Orange is one of the best series in TI history, and kyxy had a large role in his team’s win for his 4 man and 5 man RPs against team DK, which is why that clip is here instead. Team Orange finishing at 3rd place makes them the most successful SEA team at a TI.
Million Dollar Dream Coil
Na’Vi vs. Alliance was the original El Clasico before the rosters of both teams fractured. This series was the only TI grand finals that came down to the last game. Alliance proved to be a sheer unstoppable Juggernaut at TI3, but it was Na’Vi that challenged them and pushed them to the final game. Regardless, the Swedes outmaneuvered Na’Vi, relentlessly pecking at their buildings. In the final push, with both teams on opposite sides of the map, S4 cancelled the TP’s of Na’Vi’s heroes, multiple times, with crucial Dream Coils.
EG. Universe’s Six Million Dollar Echoslam
Nearly every match has a pivotal moment that defines the win, but EG made history when that moment sealed their championship and a record breaking $6.6 million dollar prize. Whether it was bait or not, CDEC thought they had a window to take Roshan after taking down Sumail. But then Universe blinked in, max distance, with a perfect 5-man Echoslam (cue Tobi’s “It’s A Disaster!”) and further establishing that he’s one of the best players in Dota today.
The Play
NBA has “The Shot,” when Michael Jordan hit his iconic game winning shot, and Dota has its own “The Play,” from TI 2012, when Na’Vi turned around what seemed to be a devastating wraparound from iG. During the draft, Na’Vi allowed iG to pick both Naga Siren and Dark Seer, which spelled doom for them because this was when Vacuum could still be used on sleeping heroes. It was such a broken mechanic that it was later fixed, but Na’Vi let IG play into their hands. An instant BKB+Black Hole by LighTofHeaveN countered the play, along with Dendi Forcestaffing out of the Ravage and stealing it for himself. And much like Jordan’s Bulls, Na’Vi also did not end up winning the championship that year, but the play was too spectacular to be forgotten.
Fountain Hooking
Cheating or fair game? Pudge’s Hook and Chen’s Test of Faith was a commonly known exploit, but the strategy wasn’t viable because Pudge wasn’t viable, at least in the hands of most players. Still, in this game Tongfu steamrolled Na’Vi for the first fifteen minutes and was poised to knock on Na’Vi’s high ground. That was until Na’Vi essentially teleported Tongfu’s heroes into the fountain at will. Na’Vi repeated the tactic over and over and eventually won. It was entertaining, but bittersweet. Tongfu, or at least the players, would find redemption the following year by winning TI4.
Dendi Is Pudge
Valve debuted a new game mode for the allstar game and was picking volunteers from the crowd to play alongside pros. Kaci innocently plucked a Pudge cosplayer, in full gear, who later was revealed himself to be Dendi. He had been wearing that costume since he entered the arena, and by the time he took the mask off he was completely drenched in sweat. Give credit to Dendi, who risked heat stroke to please the crowd.
Dendi was, and may still be, the face of Dota 2, but he was still fairly popular back in Dota 1, when he was recording instructional videos on how to play the midlane. He went through the nuances of creep blocking, lane equilibrium, and capitalizing on skill timings. Today, this kind of knowledge is publicly available, but in Dota 1, before public replays, before Twitch, it was secret to a limited group of people. Dendi was one of the first professional Dota players to reach out to the community and give back, long before most of the people playing the game today.

What’s a Twitch Overlay?
Twitch Overlays are graphics, animations or tools that are displayed in a stream over the actual content (game or video) during a live broadcast. These Overlays, also called Stream Overlays or Stream Templates, are usually graphics (.JPG,.PNG) or animations (.GIF,.WEBM) that are added via streaming software such as OBS (Open Broadcaster Software), Streamlabs OBS or XSplit. Our graphics can be used with streaming platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, Mixer, Facebook, Huya or others.
How do I add a Twitch Stream Overlay (with OBS)?
A Twitch Stream Overlay can easily be added to your stream. No matter if you use OBS, Streamlabs OBS (SLOBs), StreamElements or other tools, our products can be used and added everywhere. In this tutorial, we will show you how: https://www. own3d. tv/obs-tutorial-for-twitch-youtube/

No, unfortunately, we don’t currently offer a Twitch Overlay Maker or Generator. But if you are looking for an Avatar, have a look at our Avatar Maker!
Where can I find a “Stream Starting Soon Overlay”?
Stream Starting Soon Overlays or banners are available as a package in each of our Ultimate and Monster Packages. As single products, you can find them here.
Is it possible to stream without stream graphics?
Yes, you can stream without stream graphics, but a professional stream design can help to set your own stream apart from the many thousands of other streamers. Many professionals show how valuable the graphics, emotes and badges are for their community building. We don’t know anyone who has used professional design once and then ever wanted to stream without it again.
